No incentive was offered Our experience was extremely disappointing. What was presented during the sales process was very different from what we experienced during implementation. The most serious issue was patient information, photos and documents not transferring correctly, with some information unable to be recovered. This caused significant disruption, additional labor and expense for our practice. After numerous attempts to resolve the issues and ultimately requesting cancellation of PatientNow and Recura, I am still waiting for meaningful communication from senior leadership. Software problems happen, but problems involving patient data require urgency, accountability and communication. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros [sensitive content hidden] presented PatientNow as a dream system for our practice. We were sold on the idea of having PatientNow, Recura and RxPhoto work together as a comprehensive solution for our medical spa. The system was presented as a way to streamline our operations, improve efficiency, and bring our scheduling, patient records, photographs, communications, payments and other essential functions together. Based on what was presented during the sales process, we were genuinely excited about the transition and believed this would significantly improve our business. #### Cons Unfortunately, the reality of implementation was drastically different from what was presented during the sales process. Our migration resulted in serious issues with patient data, including missing client information, documents and photographs that did not properly transfer or sync, some of which PatientNow was unable to recover. We also experienced duplicate patient records, thousands of missing dates of birth, checkout/functionality problems, and an implementation process that caused significant disruption to our daily operations. Recura was also part of the solution presented to us, but the overall integration did not deliver the seamless workflow we were sold. Instead of simplifying our business, our staff spent countless additional hours troubleshooting, manually correcting information, entering appointments, and trying to work around system issues. What has been equally concerning is the lack of timely support and accountability after these problems occurred. I have spent weeks calling, emailing, documenting issues, and escalating my concerns. My situation was escalated to a Vice President, and despite numerous follow-up attempts and being repeatedly told I would receive a call, I still have not received the promised response. Software issues can happen. Loss of patient information and documentation, followed by weeks of difficulty obtaining meaningful resolution from senior leadership, is a completely different level of concern for a medical practice. We had struggles with the initial implementation process related to migrating data into the system. #### Cons We experienced major issues during the EHR implementation process. As concerns arose and we requested a remedy. We had to press for any response. The poor communication and challenges during implementation lead us to lose trust in the team. When we realized the system was not a fit due to the implementation struggles, we requested to terminate our agreement. Customer management refused to let us out of our contract and strictly enforced the terms. Some workflows and settings could be more intuitive, and occasional system slowdowns can impact efficiency. The biggest drawback is that certain features can feel complicated to navigate, especially when setting up reports, templates, billing and invoicing patient payments, and custom settings. Once you are using the system, the constant updates become frustrating. You learn how to do something one way, and then it changes again. They also no longer offer immediate support.
