Pros/Cons
Pros
- It keeps getting better and better. The Praxis team is a joy to work with, from the top down.
- I actually enjoy working with it, which I never thought I’d say about an EHR. If you want an EHR that helps you work faster and smarter, Praxis is a great option.
- I would recommend Praxis to anyone who is looking for high quality and fast charting. I had my trainer onsite which was wonderful.
Cons
- Template EHRs are proving to be inadequate and potentially illegal as they produce Cloned Documentation.
- I have used two other EMR systems and they were frustrating at best; dangerous for the patient at worst.
- I'm only disappointed that I did not hear about Praxis years earlier. That would have saved me a lot of frustration on template based systems I have used.
Pros
- Mostly user-friendly, responsive and helpful customer support, customizable templates, clear video, easy client onboarding and billing, great value for the price.
- I am enjoying the flexibility of the software and the ease which I can contact clients. SimplePractice also has an online tele-counseling platform which is very useful.
- I am excited to see how the the customer service support conversation will go, hopefully it will help me understand how to have intake forms.
Cons
- I have a data base now that I use who program is awful and childish but they are able to create the reports I need. Its sad this program is missing the one thing i need more than anything.
- This process can take a few days which is frustrating when many problems can be managed with a quick phone call.
- Stay away...you will leave once an audit occurs and they refuse to provide you your own records.
