Speedy Claims Software


 

SpeedyClaims is an on-premise tool that allows small clinics and single-provider offices to manage CMS 1500 insurance claim forms. It is compatible with most Windows operating systems.

Users can print paper copies of their CMS 1500 forms or send them electronically. The forms can be customized for a specific practice, which enables fields to be automatically completed when users open new forms. Information is saved for reuse and repeat patient claims can be auto-completed using previously entered information.

Claims are saved in the claims list, which allows users to keep track of patient payments. Users can also configure shortcuts suited to their workflows. A Medicare claims processing guide and a year of software updates are included. SpeedyClaims also offers calendars, and it includes databases for provider, patient and insurance company data and a list of diagnostic codes.

Email and phone support are offered. A free trial is available.

SPEEDY CLAIMS: UB04 / CMS 1450 Facility or Hosptial Medical Billing Claim Software

Pros

Are you a Medical Biller or Claim Coding Professional that bills for Facilities, Hospitals, Partial-Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, or Substance Absue? Do you have Insurance Payers that require paper claim on a UB04 also known as CMS1450? Then you've found the EASIEST way to create a Paper Claims using either Pre-Printed UB04 Form or a sending the Insurer a PDF Copy for soft processing of the medical claim. I lost so many hours on other UB04 Software Programs that required me to re-enter Patient Information, Procedure Codes, Insurance Identifiers, and Charges each time a new claim was created. Speedy Claims UB04 Software was the ONLY version that allowed me to save commonly used Revenue Codes, CPT/HCPCS Codes, Insurance Addresses, and Billing Demographics. It allows you to customize the print features and move text (up/down and right/left) so that all text aligns to the pre-printed UB04 Forms. It's not only a time-save but also a money saver for all small hospitals, hospital-based outpatient programs, residential treatment facilities, and php/iop programs. I can't say enough about this software!!!!

Cons

It offers an "EDI" (electronic billing) feature but it is only compatible with certain medical billing/medical claim clearinghouses. This software is intended for medical practices (hospitals, facilities, residential, php, iop) that need to print UB04 claims/CMS1450 or upload to clearinghouses in text format. If you only intend to send electronic billing via "837I" then this may not be ideal for your needs.

Pros

The program is easy to use and simple to learn. Love it! I can not imagine anything easier. Each section gives you many options and allows you to make it custom to each office user.

Cons

There is nothing that i can think of at this time. Good combo of the sections. Easy to follow reports.

Pros

Very easy to use, Always self updates, user friendly. Very easy to train staff. Color coded claim status.

Cons

I can organize my medical claims. I print my claims and there has been no problems. When I started printing them they were slightly off. I went into the printer area and had an easy time adjusting the answers up or down or left and right so the information lined up with the red medical claim form. They have an easy system to add new procedure codes. I manually enter them. There might be a way to import procedure codes but I have not found out how. Diagnostic codes are also easy to enter and save for latter use.

Cons

Every time I update a claim it creates a new copy instead of over writing the last claim. This is a little frustrating. I go back in and delete the old claim. I think this may be a safety issue and they want to protect me from deleting something important.

It didn't take long for me to set it up, and to start using it.The cost was relatively fair good. I could go back and do my claims within a minute because everything is set up in the system and you don't have to put in diagnosis and we create a new clean each time you need to Bill.

Cons

It takes time for customer service to get back to you. The totals with each claim line it's sometimes triple the amount so you have to go back and do a correction. That in NPI had to be enter one each claim item.

Using the Speedy Claims Billing System has eliminated the need for me to have hire an outside biller.

Pros

I started using the Just Claims Billing System in 2008 and I was very pleased. I was pleasantly surprised with the expanded Speedy Claims.

Pros

I liked that everything is laid out very clearly. Boxes filled in nicely. Able to save the work that I had started.

Cons

Nothing really. If I had to mention something I would say for us since we are a dental office there was a learning curve for the codes but once we got into our groove( it's more or less the same codes after a while) it became much quicker to use.

Quicker claims filing, improved cash flow, and the scrub feature is great, too - forgot to mention that in the prior survey.

Pros

The automatic data backup feature, the easy template creation, the product's ability to stay 'live' and hold data already entered if I get called away when typing up a claim

Cons

The User Guide search can be a bit tricky with terminology. For example, typing in COPY CLAIM doesn't generate a specific result, heads me to the generalize "getting started" page.

Easy of use when filling out claim forms.

Pros

The software is easy to set up and use. I had to transfer the program to a new computer and the customer service was very helpful.

Cons

I have not had any complaints when using Speedy Claims. The program and the customer service have always been great.

Straightforward - just fill in the HICF as you see it. I like that old clients are automatically archived but easy to access.

Cons

Some of the instructions are confusing (i.e. save, update or create). I often end up with several of the same bills saved.

Program is simple to use and navigate. Claim templates streamline individual claims entry, and the program itself is not inundated with unnecessary features.

Cons

I wish the Speedy Claims program had a way to generate individual reports for claims follow up, there is currently no way short of creating a new claim or entering a note for any follow up resubmissions, that one can track individual claims submission dates. Anyone who's ever had to appeal a claim decision based on establishment of timely filing knows how useful such a feature would be,

Honestly, it changed my life. I am a one man operation and it cut my billing time to less than half. I also have fewer errors.

Easy Auto Billing for Paper Claims.

Pros

I love the flexibility I have with paper claims. I have software for electronic billing but the simple and easy to use interface with speedy claims is ideal for my Auto submissions.

Cons

I don't have a lot of negative, the only thing maybe if claims automatically saved. Normally I have to exit a hcfa and click it again to have my claims save for each day I've billed.

I can quickly access a claims list and produce new claims for recurring clients who present with insurance policies that do not accept my electronic filing company. I also like the fact that it automatically updates.

Cons

Once I print a form, I cannot reprint it without leaving the form and the bringing it back up. I have no other cons.

Ease of use and no monthly fees. Lost a laptop and they restored it on the new one even though I had no receipt. Simple software that prints even on plain paper if you run out of the red forms.

Cons

User friendly and saves all information for the beginning of usage. Your system models the Medicare Pro32 system which we use and this make it easier to complete diagnosis codes, etc.
