WRS Health is a cloud-based integrated electronic health records (EHR) solution that offers practice management, revenue cycle management and billing services.

The solution includes modules for charting, medical billing, patient scheduling, appointment reminders, order management, eRx/EPCS, image management, secure e-faxing, disease management and more.

WRS Health is ONC-ATCB certified solution. Medical professionals using this system are eligible for MIPS/MACRA incentives. WRS Health serves 35+ specialties with specific templates, functionality and workflows developed for each. The system also has specific CPT and ICD10 codes for each specialty. The suite includes an integrated patient portal for patient communication, sharing medical records and building patients' medical database.

WRS Health is subscription priced based on the number of providers in the organization or an optional full revenue cycle management with billing services option based upon a flat percentage of insurance payments. Prices include support and upgrades and there are discounts available for multi-provider organizations and bundled services.

Good yet could be great

Overall a good program and definitely a good value for the money. The company is responsive and pleasant to deal with. A moderate learning curve. Worth looking at yet as with any software you have to figure out how it may help or hinder your workflow. I give it a 7.5 out of 10. With the improvements the company is working on it may be better in the next few months (or not).

Pros

Easy to see summaries of patient information and to pull down test results.
Very nice company to deal with.
Company dedicated to improving the software.
Patients can see lab results that come into the program in "real time". Often they will beat me to seeing the results.
Patient portal.
Although we didn't use it, the program will call your patients 2 days before their visit to remind them. (We prefer calling on our own-yet this can be a big labor saver)
Likewise we didn't use the practice management tools yet they are available and integrated into the program (this includes billing).

Cons

Task manager/results review section needs improvement. I could not send comments either to patients or to my staff without going through 3 screens. I found this time consuming and since I like to feed back on results to patients it was just not helpful. In addition, in the task manager you have to go through 2 screens to clear it from the task manager section.
Ordering labs and consults and xrays was initially a chore, yet once I spent a Saturday night looking up all the CPT codes and then saving them into different sections my staff and I became pretty proficient at it and actually found ordering easy to do (so actually a PRO as well as a Con, with the con being I had to figure out that shortcut on my own).
Prevention section is nonexistent. You must create it yourself which I found difficult. I did not understand why the company did not at least load the US Preventative Services Task Force recommendations based on age and then let you edit from there. It would be much more helpful.

WRS Health has been a wonderful transition

Our office has just converted to EMR/PM and WRS has made this a very pleasant transition. Software Advice did a superb job narrowing the choices for us and listened to our practice needs and the top recommendation was WRS Health and as a whole the practice is very happy and so are our patients.

Pros

The self guided help as well as the online assistance availability. The combination of PM and EMR in one package. The ability to speak to actual physicians that are using this in their practice.

Basic EMR - easy to use compared to some others

Pros

Overall it's fairly easy to use compared to other EMRs: NextGen, MicroMD, Digichart

Cons

#1 No up-to-date online self-training info and not easy to get to someone to ask a question. #2 As with ALL the EHR's I've used - there's the usual not-fully functional lab interface --- this is VERY hard for any practice to get to work 100% as you practically need a full time IT person working on it. #3 Email & Patient portal need to be more user friendly and functional. #4 Should be able to get into a chart from all Tasking, email, labs, etc - you have to close out of one are and open another, then reopen what you closed - takes a lot of time. Need "Page UP and Page DOWN" buttons to maneuver more quickly on the templates. Need more individual functionality (e.g. my phrases, individual email from the portal) for practices that have multiple users. Need to be able to ERROR notes made in ERROR.

User friendly and exceptional customer service

This EHR is extremely user friendly, didn't take long at all to get used to it. Customer service is exceptional. The only thing is you have send a "ticket" for any problems. However, any problem is handled quickly.

I have been using it for over 7 years. It has made many improvements and these have been good.

Web based and always accessible. You can do most anything needed. You can always log a ticket for any problems. Sometimes it takes awhile to get an answer on billing issues but they have decreased my AR a great deal from my past billing person. I wish there were a few more customizable features - like making notes that fit my practice, automatically putting tasks/emails for patients into their EMR "file", and like a real chart, allowing notes to go into separate files - like phone messages all in one section, OV notes in one section...now it just runs on and after 7 years it is sometimes hard to find a particular note.

WRS a very user friendly program

WRS is very easy to use. We were looking for a program that would give us more options since our old EHR was not really going in the direction we were heading. WRS was definitely much more affordable and gave us options that we really liked and felt would benefit our practice. WRS allows patient to message you through the web portal which is nice, however it does go into everyones inbox and you sort of have to find out if someone has replied to a message since it will not let you know that. Order & tracking is a really nice feature as well. we also like the printout screen in the program. Its nice to be able to view the pt Hx all in one screen. Being able to fax imported items, results, referrals all at once by checking off a box and sending is a real time saver as well. There are a lot of great features in this program. Of course there is no perfect program but this program does work well for us!

A very user friendly and functional EMR

Registering new patients is so much easier, especially if the patients have an email address so they can log into WRS and complete their medical history. Billing is a breeze, with a few clicks I have all claims that need to be sent to the clearinghouse. There were only a few glitches that have already been corrected. Any time I find something that needs attention, it's quickly taken care of so I have no complaints.

The only complaint about ease of use happens with all software......it's a pain and takes a while to make it specifically for you. However,: that being said, once you do set it up it's a breeze. With your own templates you can point and click; plus add extra to personalize that patient visit. My office staff loved the scheduler and my biller never complained. I would recommend this EHR to anyone, without hesitation and actually have.

Very easy to learn and use even though I know I am not using it to its fullest capability!

I had difficulty learning the billing system, except sending the bills, which is quite easy. The solution for me was having WRS be my billing agency...problem solved!

The best thing about this vendor is working on the program and discovering that if they would add this particular feature it would make your job more efficient. You send the vendor your suggestions and the next thing you know the feature has been added. The only con that we have found is that the vendor needs to add more interfacing with the national labs.

Great Support, Very Affordable

Web based complete EMR and billing software that is very adaptable to the way you practice. I have been using it for 3 years now and am quite satisfied. Meaningful use functionality is built in. I love their training and support people. Responses are always quick. They are constantly improving the product. It is affordable, a monthly fee. It runs on regular PC's and laptops. like any EMR, it slows you down compared to paper charts. Sometimes there are bugs when they upgrade, but they are fixed quickly.

Excellent software and service

This software suite is excellent overall. The EHR "open tabs" option allows quick and easy access to the pertinent areas of the EHR. This provides for efficient real-time documentation and coding of procedures and diagnoses. The revenue cycle management and practice management modules are excellent, intuitive and easy. Customer service and support are excellent and timely. We are quite happy with this product and company.

Very user friendly!
