WebPT is a cloud-based, multi-product platform for outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy clinics. At its core, WebPT is an electronic medical records (EMR) system that enables therapists to produce and store patient documentation as well as transmit medical records via fax or a HIPAA-compliant portal.

In addition to documentation, the EMR, which maintains a 99.99% uptime rate, includes practice insight reporting, customizable evaluation templates and compliance safeguards. WebPT customers can also add patient scheduling, automated appointment reminders, file storage, outcomes tracking and a home exercise program within the core product. The WebPT EMR also integrates with a variety of electronic health record (EHR) platforms.

Additionally, WebPT offers practice management solutions, like patient engagement and relationship management tools, an online continuing education portal, revenue cycle management services and multiple billing integrations.

The company launched in 2008, and it’s headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

Great for clinical use

Pros

With WebPT, scheduling, documentation, billing, etc. can all be completed through one software. It is visually easy to understand and intuitive to use. You are not required to navigate through multiple pages to find information as you can easily access various pages through the main screen.

Cons

As with any EMR, point of services requires a computer, tablet/iPad, or electronic device be present while treating the patient which may appear unprofessional depending on the setting. Some clinics may resort to taking notes manually and then transferring into the EMR later, however this can create more work for the therapists.

Web PT

Pros

- Stores all patient information in one convenient location
- It's hosted online
- Patient information if safe

Cons

- It's a little bit hard to get around to where you want to be
- It's only as good as what the providers put in there, so they have to make sure to keep up with with it

Updatine issues, otherwise mostly reliable

Pros

When the program is up and running, it can be a great asset for any documentation and moving from one chart to the next .

Cons

The program went down for an entire day within the last month causing our staff to have an immense back up ok documantion and productivity. Prior to this program had remained stable and not had any downtime, however, there have been a few instances of the program being in-accessible periodically over the past year during work hours. These instances are isolated.

PT/OT Software

This product is over all a great product and has everything we need plus some we haven't even discovered yet.

Pros

This product is great because it is focused for therapy. Everything is in one place and no need to jump back and forth between programs for patient info.

Cons

A con is that you can't jump between patient notes and scanned documents without saving and exiting out of the note.

Easy to Use, Efficient

Pros

Customer service is very prompt and provides clear guidance. Able to make eval templates that save time

Cons

Have to pay for upgraded services like e-mail reminders, no patient portal for communication, costs more than others for simple services for a solo provider

Lacks the functionality needed for our uses

Pros

The software is relatively easy to learn, both for administrators and therapist/users. As it is web-based, it is accessible at all times as opposed to site-based software programs.

Cons

The software was designed for a physical therapy clinic, but was modified to apply to other outpatient therapy professions such as occupational and speech-language therapy. However, we found that was not the case and as a pediatric multi-disciplinary therapy group we found it was sorely lacking in the areas most pertinent to our clinic. The reports the software generates are not as professional looking as we like either. After two years of use, we found a software designed specifically for our uses, with a strong pediatric foundation.

Billing Manager

WebPT is an awesome company. The support team is excellent.

Pros

Customer Service with WebPT is excellent. They are great company. The software is very specific. The scheduling side of the software is awesome.

Cons

Too detailed - the workflow for our company was too complicated. The system is great and is specific to PT, but too detailed for our workflow.

Not cost effective for individual usage

Good customer support, just not the right product for me!

Pros

I can see how this would be a functional for a larger practice. It provides a lot of training for those who are learning the software.

Cons

This product is clearly designed for PT's - I should have known better! I also ended up spending much more money that I wanted to due to my smallish caseload (I see about 30 clients a week).

Elated Customer

This system has changed my life! It is has opened up my time to do more valuable tasks within my business.

Pros

This documentation and billing system is: Easy to use, efficient, smartly engineered, compatible with a variety of devices.

Cons

I have encountered no cons when using this system. On several occasions there has been a bug in the system. I called to notify the staff, they immediately modified the system and correct the bugs while they were on the phone with me.

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive, all inclusive program...you found it!

Great product for a company just starting out, or an established company looking for a change. Great price. Good customer service. Ease of use. Highly recommend!

Pros

Easy to use; Accurate claims payment processing/posting; Compliant records; Awesome customer service

Cons

Took a little while to convert from my old, slow program. But, definitely NOT a con once I learned how easy it is to use!

I love the system

Pros

Friendly User. Easy to tract missed notes, the report gives the total picture of the business. The monthly fee really worth

Cons

It is best if they upgrade the balance of co-share. Some of our patient is not paying their co-insurance, it is best if they will include the balance of co-share in payment portion

WebPT is easy to use.

Pros

The software is very easy to use. WebPT has a lot of really great reports. Software is easy to set up and start using.

Cons

Support is awful, they do not answer timely. They do not answer correctly most often. they constantly charge wrong amounts each month for your bill, which is ACH and won't credit you until the next month and then forget to credit you.

We were somewhat early adopters of WebPT and used it for a few years - got frustrated and changed.

Pros

The best feature is that it was a start-up by a Physical Therapist who had an idea of EMR software specifically designed with the PT in mind

Cons

Very labor intensive to chart evaluations, progress reports, and especially daily notes. My staff and I had to spend an inordinate amount of time flipping through the pages to get anything done.
Then they "nickel and dime" you for every new PT, student, staff member, feature, etc.
