Pros/Cons
Pros
- The system is very robust and requires thorough implementation due diligence to make sure everything is set up appropriately, but overall it is a great, sophisticated product.
- Top notch people that are easy to understand; they speak in common terms not that techy stuff. I recommend Blackbauds Financial Edge to anyone looking for an excellent and stable accounting software.
- The product has a lot of features for fund, grant and project management which is totally necessary for our organization. The learning resources are rich, the technical support team is fabulous.
Cons
- I have encountered many organizations that purchased Blackbaud Software without being properly trained. As a result, they become frustrated with the product which leads to negative comments.
- I am not able to use papersave with it just yet so the drag and drop/ upload feature is obsolete to me.
- Sometimes, the updates mess up small items. It may be minor, but it's just annoying.
Pros
- Customer Service was Excellent and the page is set up nice. I was excited to find a website like this one.
- The tools for building a site and administering your group look awesome. I've set up a Box account (which is used for its document management capabilities) and the integration works great.
- What I like best is the ease of use of the Memberplanet application. Memberplanet is extremely user friendly.
Cons
- Inability to manage members by bulk. Absolutely terrible tech support or responsiveness to customer needs.
- I have been trying to bring an existing group online and have run into one problem after the next. It was almost impossible to predict these issues when assessing our vendor options.
- Previously we used several websites to manage our booster clubs along with donations, membership, sponsorships, email and text message. This was often very frustrating as team coordinator.
