Overall our experience with VolunteerMatters has been great and what really stands out is customer service of the VolunteerMatters team.

An added benefit is being able to better track various aspects of the many projects we have going during our busy seasons.

Our favorite feature in VolunteerMatters is the ability to log hours served volunteering into a volunteer's profile.

Volunteer Matters suggests using Zapier, which charges and additional fee for Salesforce.

I love having the ability to add graphics to different projects and signing up for a shift is straightforward.

The Advanced Contact search I think is sometimes difficult to use.

This goes beyond shifts and positions and will allow us to reach more people with our mission message.

We recently upgraded to the newest version of VolunteerMatters and we LOVE how easy it is for volunteers to use. The software is clean and simple.

Setting up new projects is easy once you get the hang of it and you have control over what and when volunteers can see in the system.

Volunteers can track their own hours, or it can be set to credit them for a set number of hours for the task they complete. Nice flexibility options are available.

There is no option to bulk delete shifts if there has been a schedule change in our programming.

The seamless integration into our website, branding, and user-friendly experience is by far the best feature of VolunteerMatters.

There has been no 'kiosk' option to check-in volunteers but I hear that changes are in the works.

I think it is overall a great software tool but perhaps the grant was far too complicated to work with the system.

Not grantee centric - their portal looks very basic and does not match the grantmaker experience - this is concerning and reflects a damaging power imbalance between funder and grantee.

Supportive of workflow, helpful with running reports, budget tracking, easy to quickly find information on particular grants.

Now that we are in the system, I see that the budget management aspect of the system is not configurable (although everything else in Fluxx is) and is badly built.

We selected the system for its workflow- and cloud-based platform, flexibility, third-party integration, and community-focused business model.

Sometimes setting up features on the back end can be difficult for someone without a technical background.

Some parts of the system seem a bit rigid. Foundations have many different structures and somethings cannot be ported directly into Fluxx and need to be re-thought in order to 'Fluxxify' them.

Nothing is ever perfect, but there is a reason foundations are switching to this platform at an amazingly fast rate. It is best in class next generation software made by grantmakers for grantmakers.

It's elegant, powerful, and intuitive. The people (that work there) are really great too--nice, enthusiastic, and committed (and smart).

The best part is the support is get from the Fluxx community where I learned a lot and helped me with my day-to-day activities as administrator of Fluxx.

This could just be a training issue, but the company is still a start-up so their training materials/opportunities are somewhat limited.

Tickets sent to engineering get lost in the void so much that its a common jest among the Fluxx user communities.

It was difficult to set up the different features of each 'card.

The system is clear, user friendly and easy to manage. Functionality and ease of use continue to improve as new features are added.

The Fluxx community (truly the best and most supportive group of users I've ever experienced from a software platform). Anytime/anywhere/any device access (with great iOS and soon Android app).

That was a handy feature because we got frustrated loading our grant in. However, the robust ability to store all kinds of attachments and how quick and easy that was were things we appreciated.

I recommend anyone thinking about changing systems to look into it - your staff will thank you.

The people who work there are nice, bright, hardworking, and incredibly committed to making Fluxx the best it can be and giving you the best experience they can.

I would ask to get detailed information about training staff, reporting functionality, third party tool integration and tech support processes before finalizing the deal.

Fluxx is able to scale with our needs quite well. While building new functionality in Fluxx requires a technical learning curve, we've had good luck with Fluxx service support.

Allows us to be responsive to both our grantees and staff and provide best possible experience.

The software is extremely helpful in supporting workflow processes, it is much more straightforward than MicroEdge GIFTS, and overall we are happy with the experience.

How the platform works is that all improvements go to all clients. That means as the big boys like Kresge build in PRI capabilities, the rest of us get these improvements at no cost.

We enjoying the (growing) user community and benefit a lot from the community-driven feature developments.

The fact that we can now screen applicants to ensure eligibility before application submission is great. Reviewing is simpler and faster than our old methods.

Fluxx has allowed us to automate more processes and keep better track of a growing work load.

Fluxx has a robust user community with active message boards, but I often have a quick, simple question and feel guilty bothering other users.
