I set up Donorbox to send contributions to my bank account once per week, and that happens like clockwork. Through Donorbox, I'm able to see all the donors' information. I can export reports for my campaign filing requirements. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros I like that the payment of processing fees is offered to the donors so transparently. There's no question about where their money is going. Almost all my donors have paid these processing fees, which greatly reduces the costs to my political campaign. #### Cons The hardest thing about Donorbox was the initial set up with the Stripe account. But, once that was done, everything has worked very smoothly. #### Reasons for choosing Donorbox Eventually I also added ActBlue, because many donors prefer that. But I initially chose, and continue to use Donorbox because I appreciate the transparency of where the donors' money is going. With ActBlue, there is an ask for a "tip" (suggested 10%), but it's not clear to the donor who is receiving the tip. My guess is that most people assume that this is covering the processing fees. But, in reality, the political campaign has to pay processing fees to ActBlue. Those fees are less than the Donorbox/Stripe fees, but with a 10% tip plus processign fees, the ActBlue cost to the (donor+campaign) is greater than the 6%ish that is charged by Donorbox/Stripe. Since the donors almost always pay the processing fee, the campaign saves money. Support team works and respond quickly and effectively. #### Cons Inability to coordinate activities of partners and processors of payment such as Stripe and PayPal Confusion in differentiating between donations and sales/purchases all lumped together. PayPal is more guilty in this confusion when it forcefully seized EARN 's donations claiming we purchased goods whereas we sre nonprofit Organization which doesn't engage in buy and sale. My organization is international and being able to accept donations in so many currencies including Kenyan Shillings is extremely important to me. Each of my fundraising campaigns has its own page with its own link. One of the most recent things I did is to create a membership campaign.
