Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • The overall experience has been positive and does help us keep track of our donor database and donor amounts, which will help us create a capital campaign and other fund-raising opportunities.
  • Thank you FirstGiving, but a BIG THANKS to Nick and Camille for doing such a great job everyday in helping people and organizations like the Ronald McDonald House produce successful events.
  • Our success and experience with FirstGiving has been great. One of the criteria in selecting fundraising software for our Charity was support; what type of support would be offered and at what level.
  • Cons

  • Customer Service is the Absolut worst!!! I have never been treated with so much disrespect.
  • I have had to complain twice about the same technical issue. The problem takes weeks to get fixed.
  • Sometimes the grids can get complicated and hard to see, and sometimes it is difficult to look things up if you are unsure what the exact spelling of something is.

  • Pros

  • Tons of excellent knowledge docs and they always help identify which one is best suited for your question. Always willing to help no matter how many times I reach out.
  • The Attribute section is very helpful. Also - when I call for support it has always been a very helpful and pleasant experience.
  • Amazing tech support from incredibly patient people - can't say enough how important this is. Seamless integration with FEC for super easy electronic filing.
  • Cons

  • I have learned a lot about how to use this database, however, I am often frustrated at how clunky it is.
  • The missing piece was bookkeeping integration and their event registration didn't have an integrated calendar.
  • I don't like that it's only available on PC, and I have to use remote desktop on my Mac laptop. Mailings are really difficult - households aren't very use-friendly.
