  • Pros

  • Great company that is always moving forward. Fun to work with, innovative and true partners.
  • Having previously submitted evidence from prior audits is very helpful during audits in progress. While the product is great, the support team is what makes the overall experience the exceptional.
  • The product is affordable, and easy to use and track incidents. It also provides a great ROI and helps prove a security department's worth.
  • Cons

  • Upgrading from version to version is quite disruptive to our operations and we have typically found a fatal error the past few times we have upgraded.
  • My staff complain that they cannot get what they need using onboard tools and are dissatisfied that they have to purchase other software to run the reports and analytics that they need.
  • Lagging is a huge problem when several people are calling out checks at the same time and I cannot keep up because the program is running so slowly.

  • Excellent and reliable albeit slow place to turn when investigating an incident, logs are easily available and sortable leading to quick and accurate determinations.
  • Splunk has very strong query language event complex commands like Join, subquery or aggregate which much the same with SQL query with good report UI to display result.
  • Excellent visualization charts created. Graphs, dashboards, charts and various options supported aiding in effective business decisions.
  • Cons

  • For Non technical users, its really difficult to lookup logs. Sometimes, error thrown by query builder is more difficult to understand.
  • There are times in which the service experienced performance issues. Sometimes they were so severe which meant you're "blind" since you can't access your logs.
  • I do not have any cons for this software. Mainly as a user it does exactly what I need it to do with no overhead and confusing interfaces.
