Useful collaboration solution

Pros

My colleagues and I use the Evernote Business tool while working on large projects. The service allows you to create notes about the current progress of work, make notes about upcoming tasks. You can view the records on a computer or smartphone. The function of offline access to notes is supported.

Cons

There is no full-fledged tool for creating tasks and setting deadlines on the timing of the project.

Ever the Elusive

The benefit to Evernote was the way in which it easily clipped articles from the web. That was truly a useful and beneficial to both to myself and to our collaborative projects.

Pros

The best part about Evernote was the Clipper. This tool allows you to clip pieces of a webpage, or note, or document, and insert them into Evernote. The Clipper is a great tool.

Cons

The interface.
The functionality.
The speed (slow).

I have tried to use Evernote every now and then for about 10 years now, and it just doesn't stick as useful software - not personally or for business.

Do not forget anything

In my work I use the tool in a very important way. I use it to gather all the ideas and information I get into a search before I start designing my design projects. Since the capture is very good I can gather all the important data for creation and then access them very quickly.

Pros

In-note search is an incredibly effective and handy feature.
The synchronization of devices is also very good and a good help at work.
The tool allows you to capture your ideas in a very efficient way.

Cons

Sometimes I have tried using it as a unique tool to organize my work. But compared to the to-do list it's not the best we have on the market. But I consider the most complete in general.

A powerful note solution with downsides

Pros

There are ton of apps for all different and works with all web browsers. There's probably not a more accessible note solution than Evernote.

Cons

First off, it's very expensive for premium. I'd never pay that cost. Second, they've had changes to their terms and conditions policies which made me lose my trust in their security.

I keep my ideas daily

I always keep this in mind when it comes to meetings with my team of work when proposing ideas and that those ideas are saved instantly to remember later, as well as I use them in mental maps that I do directly and then I want to visualize to pass it to clean. It is very portable and very practical, more than a notebook is a place where great ideas are stored.

Pros

Taking into account that with the simple fact of having a free version you can already appreciate how powerful, complete and robust this application of notes is. However, the paid version has more to offer in general aspects, such as storage when it comes to more users collaborating on a project and want to expand or add information. Its menus are very interactive and easy to understand how everything works.

Cons

I do not like the waiting time when it is synchronized in my devices. I should have a dark theme so I do not tire the eyes. I do not see another one that has this great tool.

Best Notetaking Software around

Overall, a fantastic piece of software/app/site that has been a lifesaver.

Pros

I love Evernote. It feels as intuitive as using actual paper in that you can organize things by notebook, create bullet point lists, even draw things! And you can also add favorites - a not so papery feature that is a life saver. I use Evernote both for work and personal needs. I also love being able to share as on a business side, you can share notes with co-workers and have them contribute, and on a personal level you can do things like share grocery lists with your partner. It's really amazing. Plus, it works flawlessly on mobile and PC.

Cons

My one gripe is that the desktop version feels a bit cramped compared to the web browser version. Also, I find it a bit odd that you can no longer download the software onto your pc, instead it's an app in the windows web store.

The Business Epicenter

The ability to link email to Evernote has greatly reduced our reliance on email. Several within our company travel regularly and having Evernote as our epicenter, our information hub, gives us full access whenever and wherever we need it.

Pros

Evernote's gives our company the ability to collaborate at every level. Whether using a smartphone, a tablet, or a computer, Evernote's allows access everywhere, even offline with the ability to save work. Sharing outside the company is easy and secure. The search features here are second to none, even allowing searches for words within images. Evernote makes our work more manageable and makes us more efficient. Our company relies heavily on Outlook and Evernote directly connects with Outlook. This feature alone, for us, is worth paying for.

Cons

The less tech-savvy among us may have a greater learning curve due to the sheer amount of features Evernote Business offers. There are several features we do not have a need for. This is a common "con" of powerful software.

Likely the Best Note Keeping Tool Available

Evernote is in a strange placing of trying to discover itself. It is placing itself as a competitor to both note taking apps, and cloud based drives. Although I love the tool and use it for work, school, and play, I'm not sure it's worth the price. I'm resigned to paying for it until a better solution comes out (or they make the tool better).

Pros

Presentation functionality works really well.
Stacks are a great way to organize notes.
Easily take a picture of a document, which then converts to a scanned document.
Evernote Web Clipper is a great extension to pull in ideas when you don't have to time research.
Good sharing functionality.
Works OK for project management.

Cons

The search functionality isn't all its marketed to be. For example, if I search a keyword, all of the notes with that keyword will show up. That's good. The issue is that I will then have to search each of those notes for the keyword, instead of being shown a line or two around the keyword. For long notes, this is cumbersome.

Evernote is worth every penny I spend on it

Evernote is a convenient and efficient note-taking app.

Pros

I like that it is cloud-based. I do not have to worry about my files getting lost or my drive crashing.

Cons

Although the tool is awesome, I find the basic version storage capacity, 60MB quite small. It would not suffice at most times.

Great function and diverse uses

Great app. I still love it.

Pros

so many different features to use! Tagging, notebooks, shortcuts, and sharing. It is such a good system for anything from organizing and documenting notes, writing projects, and sharing materials. It has a web version and device versions that sync so that you are never far from your notes. I put vital health information in mine for easy access wherever I am at.

Cons

For all it's versatility they switched to a more reduced free version a few years back. It has since improved but it only allows you to share on 2 devices so choose wisely. The MB size limits are also sometimes hard to work around, and I end up needing other documents.

easy management of "to do lists"

great

Pros

I use this software mostly for my ongoing list of things that need to be done. Its easy to categorize and I love that everything is saved in the software so you can access it from any computer/smart phone by login in.

Cons

I don't have many things to complain about with this software, at times it can be slow to upload.

Evernote Review

Pros

The ease and ability to create new notes and then group notes together by topic is easily my favorite feature.

Cons

I would have like more functionality and ways to organize my information within each note.

Useful

Pros

My favorite things about Evernote are that it is cross platform, it syncs to the cloud, and it is searchable (it can return all notes that contain a single search word).

Cons

I still haven't quiet found the perfect application for Evernote. It's not ideal for lists - Wunderlist is better for that. And I sometimes prefer OneNote on PC and Apple Notes on my phone...

Old Faithful... established & reliable, but not the hungriest out there

Pros

Evernote is *the* established player in the market for personal & team information storage & retrieval. The interface is good, the web clipper is excellent, and searching for information or documents from even years ago is fast & easy.

If you need a bulletproof platform to store your information & documents - and have them easy to share, and easy to retrieve - Evernote is it.

Cons

The downside with Evernote is that there's little in the way of ongoing development or innovation. New features? There are a few small ones every long while, but you get the distinct feeling that Evernote is very comfortable with where and what it is.

A Note Taker? You Want Evernote

On the go note taking and sharing has made using Evernote an enjoyable experience that I recommend to my friends.

Pros

Ease of use. Evernote makes note taking super easy. Whether you're using it through your browser or through the app on your phone, you can jot down a note, save audio, grab a website, and then you can organize them into folders, so you can find them all later. I even use it as an address book that I can update from everywhere. I even use it for snippets for my novels when I'm on the go and don't want to pull up the Google Doc. (Oh, yeah, voice to text is so nice!)

Cons

I don't like that they're kinda pushy about their premium service. I'm sure it's great, but so far I haven't had much in the way of the 'I wish I could...' with the app.

Best note taking software

Overall, a pretty good experience. Will definitely be using it again.

Pros

I love that all your notes goes in the cloud. Wherever you go and whatever device you're using all your notes are always on you. I love that you can export all your notes and it automatically organizes the pdf.

Cons

Trying too much to sell other evernote products. i.e. Evernote web clipping

Cross-platform file sharing

Pros

Evernote was the first application I used on my iPad to share documents across platforms. As a minister, I will at times use my sermon and teaching notes on multiple platforms and Evernote made this easy!!!

Cons

My original use for this software didn't even come near the the capabilities of Evernote. I don't use it often now, but it is a good software and, at times, will open file formats that no other app will open.

Cross-platform note-taking on the go

Keeping track of everything while constantly being on the move.

Pros

For my purposes, Evernote is the perfect app. My position takes me out of office a lot, and Evernote helps me keep track of all my notes while giving me access to them wherever I go. It's great for managing projects and jotting down quick notes. The folder system is great for organizing ideas into different sections.

Cons

I used Evernote in the very beginning, before their current pricing model. While the product is worth every penny, I do miss those early days. It's important to note that the new pricing model has also allowed for more advanced features to be dveloped and implemented.
