Pros

It is so easy to use if you need it to take a lot of notes like I do! The search button is awesome - I use it all the time. I like that you can upload pdf's as well.

Cons

Every so often I have an issue with synchronizing. It would be nice to have more working tools - but I'm not complaining!!

My boss swears by this program, and he seems to utilize well. I’ve been less impressed all around- but could see it’s usefulness if a few tweaks are made.

Pros

Searchable notes are a life changer. This program can scan and search even hand written notes on a napkin- really incredible feature.

Cons

It’s hard to share files and notes saved in Evernote! We work with multiple team members in office and I’m always frustrated when I want to share something I stored on Evernote. They need to improve this capability.

Pros

I primarily use Evernote to keep track of thoughts and ideas I have. Evernote has a basic Notebook Stack -> Notebook -> Note structure that mimics how you would actually organize books or notebooks, which makes it intuitive, especially for a writer like me. I use Evernote to keep track of story ideas and inspiration (mostly on my phone) and go back and visit those notes later when I'm looking for an idea. It's much easier than having them on paper or in word docs.
I also like the functionality of sharing notes through Evernote. I use this to share to-do lists or shopping lists. I know plenty of other apps could accomplish this, but I am comfortable with Evernote and find it easy to update and share.
I know that Evernote has far more features than I am putting to use. I know you can attach files and photos in Evernote, and keep track of locations and things. I have really only scratched the surface.

Cons

If you use the free version of Evernote then your options are a bit more limited (for example I think you can only sign in on two devices). This is a little bit of a bummer. However, if you need to access Evernote everywhere, then maybe it would be worth paying for you. Overall I still appreciate the value of Evernote.
I also sometimes feel a little lost in all my notes and notebooks, even though I was the one who set them up. The user interface of both the mobile and desktop versions could use a little bit of work in my opinion. Compared to the ease of navigation in, say, a program like Basecamp, Evernote isn't quite there. Still, I enjoy it.

Pros

Evernote is essentially the iOS Notes app on steroids. It is hyper-organised and allows you to create, share and edit notes with ease. It works across all platforms and syncs content seamlessly across them. It has an intuitive UI and it just works well.

Cons

The free version is too limited, as it only allows for your notes to be synced across 2 devices. The premium version has a considerable fee, but doesn't provide enough benefit to me to consider using it instead of other free note apps which sync across all my devices.

Note taking does not get better than this

Evernote is a great note taking tool. Despite all the other available apps at my disposal (from Microsoft's OneNote, to Tasks and ToDo's in Outlook, as well as built-in desktop note taking and more) I still think Evernote takes the lead regarding note taking.

Pros

Any way you slice it, Evernote is all about effective, efficient note management. More than a basic note tool, Evernote lets you capture notes on anything and everything you need to manage. Evernote offers 3 levels: basic, plus and premium. Most small businesses can get away with the basic. I do and it works for me. The plus and premium offers increase upload limits, note sizes, and other features that benefits power users. The price range is truly affordable. And if you are big on note taking, Evernote is it! You can even categorize your notes in notebooks (their version of a folder). And even start chats for collaboration purposes. What is making Evernote better, is its continuous efforts to improve their products. Like their beta feature to connect meeting notes with Google Calendar. Evernote offers offline access in their plus and premium subscriptions. And Webclipper takes bookmarks to a whole new level.

Cons

Cannot say there is anything I dislike. But, some have mentioned that it does not have a fancy user interface (UI). But it is really more about functionality, which I am all about that. If you really are a power user when it comes to note taking, you really need to start with the higher levels. The basic may not give you all you need. But, start with that for free and see what you can do with it.

I use a plugin called Evernote Web Clipper that allows me to save any page quickly, when you install it appears the icon to the right of the address bar of the browser.
If I have many notes, you have the option to search, this saves me a lot of time when I look for an old note.

Cons

When I synchronize from my cell phone it sometimes fails, but it is due to the bad connection of my cell phone data. This is not a disadvantage of Evernote but it is uncomfortable when I want to upload a large file.

Organizing my thoughts and notes is very important to me. Evernote allows you to not only create notebooks and place thoughts from different portions of you daily life, but it organizes them in a way that I would organize the folders in my brain. I love it!

Pros

I love the different notebooks! I think back to middle school when we had those HUGE notebooks that had separators. But now we can create as many separators as we want! Also, the search functionality is on point, if I want to search a specific key term it brings up every single note that could correspond. It's brilliant.

Cons

I haven't found many cons about evernote! I would love if there were training tools or guidance within the product to learn more, I guess that could be a con that it doesn't currently have in product guidance. But overall it's a great product.

Organization and collaboration made simple.

Pros

I love Evernote! We started with the free versions and then upgraded later on after seeing how powerful it is. They have a lot of great features that help you keep projects, notes, ideas etc organized. I create multiple folders and then within those folders are notes, to-dos, you can clip items from the web and save them for ideas or inspiration. The list goes on! Collaborating and sharing folders/notes with other employees is so simple.

Cons

The service for business ends up getting really expensive for a larger company like mine. So we limited it to those that really needed it.

The benefits I get are being able to keep everything in one place and having everyone on the same page. I like how it integrates with my phone so I can pull up my notes no matter where I am. I like being able to send thoughts to people and just have a record. Also incase I need to add anything to a note I like that it updates on every other platform and whoever has access to it as well.

Pros

I like that I can send notes and share notes with people and it continually updates. It tends to be pretty organized. It is easy to make graphs and bullet point lists. It is pretty versatile in terms of how to take notes. Most importantly I like how inclusive it can be more your coworkers to make sure everyone is on the same page

As most services, the online syncing is very useful.
Syncing between devices has helped quite a few times.

Cons

The syncing is not great, there is a great deal of delay, I am not sure if it is because of my devices, my connection (which I think is unlikely) and this becomes a pain when you want to use it, write , edit , save and close the laptop. Many times I had to wait because I wanted to be sure it will save.

Organizing my information.

Pros

It will capture virtually any kind of input and organize it. The real power is in the search capabilities.

Cons

The interface can be a bit cumbersome to navigate. The constant software updates to the desktop version get old as you have to log out of our MS products.

Pros

If you like taking notes, evernote offers the best value for your money spent on a note taking app. It has a host of features that should cover most, if not all your needs perfectly.

Cons

If you are someone who likes a clutter-free interface, evernote is not for you since their UI is a bit too messy.

Pros

Easy to share among different devices, easy to share with other people. Very useful for task lists. Good for scanning written notes - does a decent job at recognizing and categorizing contents. Works great with Moleskine Evernote and the stickers to prelabel scanned written notes.

Cons

I wish it could recognize my writing and scan to text. Pricing is not so good for everyday use (non work related). Too many emails trying to convince to subscribe back.

Pros

It's on every device. The updates keep improving the app. Everything I want to have access to regarding info is here. I store PDF's, eBooks, and more. When I need to have very specific things happen, I can use the voice notes to tell my assistant exactly what I want and it's right in the note for reference. When I measured the office I included pictures to tell the story. I literally cannot live without Evernote at this point. It's also my productivity app, I use it for journalling, family genealogical research, etc. Everything hits my Evernote account.

Cons

Sometimes navigating it can be tricky if you don't know exactly how. I've tried notebooks, tagging, etc within the app and the con is having to figure out which system works for you. I also have occasional issues with the app recording voice notes but that's not a deal breaker.
