  • Pros

  • I love having the support staff to answer questions and helping with learning the program. Love the online payment portal for tenants.
  • We previously used another one and Buildium is so much more organized , easy to use and the support is amazing.
  • Cons

  • Hard to set up late fee charges for each unit. Even tenants paid on time and their balance is $0, the software post late fees and no option to modify settings.
  • For accountants it is frustrating with the reports. For our owners it is even more frustrating.

  • Easy to use and great way to track leasing progress across multiple assets. Streamlines our leasing process and has made the process from touring to executed lease faster and easier to manage.
  • I like that it is easy to input information and run reports. Bulk editing is the best part.
  • Cons

  • Ie - tenant inquires about multiple properties, but then is marked dead for one building and marked touring on another building.
  • Sometimes it is difficult to include all specifics of a deal. For example when doing a renewal and expansion it is difficult to delineate and compare the deals in one proposal.
