It takes a team to be successful. I’m glad I have SiteLink. I’m not a computer expert so all this was a challenge for me. Every time I thought I couldn’t, SiteLink taught me that I could.

Pros

SiteLink’s customer service. I don’ have to wait long to receive help with an issue. SiteLink has great teaching videos.

Cons

I have to purchase other software. I would have liked a bundle purchase under one company. Example: Sitelink, Blue Moon, Gate, Card Merchant.

To clear up a few of your concerns, SiteLink does offer bundle solutions for credit card processing through our SiteLink Merchant Services with the industry-first OneSupport delivering software and payment processing support under one roof. And while SiteLink doesn't manufacture gate systems we do seamlessly integrate with most on the market. SiteLink's integration with Blue Moon for the TSSA lease is second to none and is fully integrated with SiteLink eSign™, the free electric signature capture and storage tool built right into SiteLink Web Edition, you do not even have to leave SiteLink to initiate, receive or resend lease agreements. Not ready for eSign, no problem, the Blue Moon integration will grab the current TSSA lease and pre-populate it with client and unit information and all you have to do is print and have customer sign. While bundling everything within a single company sounds like a good approach, it is sometimes best to let experts in certain fields do what they do best. It is why many luxury car manufacturers use Bose stereo systems rather than build the stereos and speakers themselves - it allows them to focus on the car itself. They have excellent customer service.
There are no fees for move ins.
The reports are very comprehensive.

Cons

There are really only two cons that I can think of. There are different notes for each section in the software, i.e. payments, late tenants etc. It would be helpful if we could mark important notes and have them visible on every screen for that tenant. Also, there is no way to mark a tenant as active military.

With SiteLink there are no added fees, period - you pay one monthly subscription charge and all software functionality, live phone support, updates, etc. are included. The trick to software is good reporting - giving you the analysis and info you need, when you need it. Even though you may not need some reports often, you have to have them when you do and SiteLink has you covered.

Thank you for your feedback regarding notes and military service. Notes are available on all screens, just not as a popup. The tenant note on payment screen, however, doesn't show on collections and we are working on adding that functionality in a future release. And, there is a way to mark a tenant as active military using the Marketing screen during Move-in (call customer support and they can walk you through it) this will show up on the 'task and letters to process' letters but not on collection call screen. Again, another area we plan to improve. Please keep calling our support staff with any and all questions and submit feature requests through them. They will generate a case to send to the development team for consideration. That's how many of out most popular features originate - via feedback from the industry's largest customer base. Without Sitelink we would have gotten sloppy with tenant records, gate codes, etc. Sitelink provides a common sense place for all of the information pieces. This has been especially helpful. The integrations and partnerships from the Sitelink Marketplace has made it much less time consuming to find and execute these additional services. Without these pre-vetted solutions i would have had trouble finding the right vendors. I have used only Sitelink partners and have only made one change in the 10 years which was to switch credit card processing to Sitelink Merchant Services.

Pros

Easy to learn and covers all of the bases. Very tight package, with vetted integrations and few bugs. Almost never have issues. Reminds me of the Apple ecosystem in its simplicity and reliability. Also I understand that the way they have built the server/pc standalone client/ and web client is the most reliable/secure. I simply wouldn't trust to do business with a web only version, because most of our issues over the years have been internet short outages. My manager started using Sitelink in 2007 had only used a computer in a very limited basis. She was able to rent units and do basic functions on day one. My appreciation to the Sitelink Team!

Cons

The only thing i'm going to say is a pro as well as a con. The price seems like alot sometimes when i think of the free or low cost options. HOWEVER; Sitelink has maintained a fixed price for us i'm going to say since we upgraded to the Web version. I believe this was 5-6 years ago. Most recently they even lowered the monthly fee thru the bundled promotion. The biggest thing is this, all of the integrations, pricing assistance, competitor tracking, website integration is beautiful as well as the credit card billing. I know these have allowed us to get and keep more customers per month, at a higher rent and longer stays. At my pricing level that only take 2-3 units to pay for the service. Again seems like alot but i can't imagine where we would be without this nice package. Recently swithed my credit card processing to Sitelink Merchant Services based on my trust of their partnership.

The Credit Card processing, it is so easy with this Merchant Services. I will always know when a customers Credit Card has been declined or is expired.

Cons

multi unit move ins, I can not get them to connect together without going through the adjustments page. I would like to see it made easier to add. I also do not like that when I am doing a move in the unit I have chosen does not show on the customer information move in screen. I have to write it down before I continue with the move in

Thank you so much for being such a long-time client and for posting here. The situation you mentioned is common and appears in various ways.

You can always refund monies directly through SiteLink, without going to your virtual credit card terminal. You have one login for SiteLink and your virtual terminal. You can transfer one tenant's unused prepayment from one unit their other unit.

A caveat: as a financial control, SiteLink cannot allow refunding more money than is owed the customer. However, you can credit any amount for past days' rent instead of refunding those "used up" rent monies.

For you as a multi-store operator, I hope the enterprise-level, Corporate Control Center is helpful where you can work with refunds and bad debt write-offs for all of your stores together, as a group or batch.

Online payments and reservations, daily task reminders, and eventually we will no longer have to do a paper billing.

Pros

SiteLink offers so much in one program. We are now able to accept online payments and reservations. The program notifies us daily of tasks that need to be accomplished. And best of all, the customer support team is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons

Although the program and support team are amazing, it has been a challenge to learn to use the Keywords accurately. A cheat sheet to those Keywords is the one thing that would make it easier.

It's easy to understand and very user friendly. The tech support is very quick and friendly for questions. We love that it is so easy to integrate with add on services (texting, merchant services, Sparefoot, our website, etc.

We wish a few things were easier. Price increases should be more customizable. We really dislike the chargeback system and with that was integrated with web edition so we knew when to reverse a payment on a customer's account.

It basically runs the 3 facilities that I manage without it Id be lost~

This is not just about the software which really cant be beat for storage! I am an office manager for a couple of storage facilities and time and time again it makes it soo easy to fix a mistake, and if I can't fix it I will simply call the support line and they will walk me through it. No company dealing with the storage world can beat it!

Cons

Haven't had to many complaints with Sitelink. One feature could be changed however its when I believe on a move-out .You select a customer at one point and it will send you back to the full list of customers .

Ease of use. The graphic interface is fine but it's very text based still. Could use easier search functions

Cons

The inter-connectivity to other apps and the way it lower screens constantly. You can be in the middle of a transacion and the screen will just drop behind ANYTHING else opened.

We understand your frustration with screens, ideally we would love to have all windows open and viewable, at all times.The Windows OS does not allow for this, so only the active window will be viewable on top. One way to mitigate is to minimize screens as you go along, keeping only those you need right at your fingertips.

You also might like SiteLink myHub, the browser-based version of SiteLink. It contains the same data you have in Web Edition and is free to subscribers, and is completely mobile-friendly ¿ use it on tables, smartphones, Macs or PCs. Try it and we¿d love to hear your comments. Thanks again!

Very user friendly. I used this software before, when I worked for Mini Storage Depot. Liked it then too..

Pros

Easy to navigate. User friendly. I have personally contacted the help line and was pleasantly surprised how helpful they were.

Cons

I cannot think of any issues that I have had with Sitelink. The reports are well organized and easy to find. I could not be happier.

Ease of use, I can put someone who's never worked a day in storage at a computer and spend minimal time going over the basic functions and they are able to pick it up without issue as it's all straight forward.

Cons

Nothing to really dislike, anything if picked apart enough could be improved but there's no glaring issues that are dealbreakers for sitelink.

We update Web Edition once every 3 to 4 months. myHub updates require no installation on your machine at all. Let us give you a call to understand which files are giving you problems.

Pros

Ease of use, myhub, frequency of updates. Customer service for all employees is great. Help on setup is great. They are always looking to improve and have an up to date product.
Ability to connect all functions of business via API is also great.

Cons

Only cons do not involve Sitelink, it can be hard to undo improper install, which is caused by user not using the excellent customer and technical/remote service.

Not everyone is aware of or utilizes them to their full advantage¿thank you for highlighting this.

Regarding a Daily Close, yes, by design once that is done it may take a few extra steps to resolve an error. Customer support can always help in the process, please call them as necessary.
