SiteLink offers self-storage solutions for operators of all sizes across the globe. The solution is available through a cloud-based or on-premise deployment, and is Mac, iPad and PC compatible. An additional service, SiteLink Merchant Services, provides integrated payment processing and is supported with OneSupport.

SiteLink offers online reservations, rentals and payment solutions. It also includes built-in electronic signature and document management, TOTAL CRM, revenue management, TeleTracker phone integration and text messaging.

SiteLink also maintains PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 1 Type II Certifications for data security.

    The software is used for work and storage units. It is easy to learn and navigate.

    Pros

    As I said it was easy to learn and if there were any questions a co-worker could easily help or Site Link was available if needed.

    Cons

    I can't say I have any cons because it seems to be easy to learn, easy to navigate, or easy to get help if needed. I don't have a lot of experience with other sites so this one seems fine.

    The training it offers, the ease of use, the security they provide to screen for access is great. Now since the acquisition I don't know what to expect as I know the purchaser very well.

    Cons

    The server updates always reverts some changes we made back to a different time. The stored data gets erased after they rech capacity, no weekend support.

I am sorry you are not clear on the SpareFoot server updates which ensure, by design, your pricing, specials and inventory are always real-time on all SpareFoot marketing platforms. It seems obvious owners do not want such details to be outdated. Constant, real-time updates are a hallmark of the SiteLink-SpareFoot integration and cloud-based systems.     The cloud based/client based sync works very well. The customer service is very responsive and helpful.

    Cons

    Some of the interfaces are not as intuitive to figure out. Not a real good way to cancel a customer and give them 100% refund if a day closure has happened (you have to make several steps to credit out the customer and then go to your credit card processor and refund the customer manually).

    Hi Preston, we are glad you have found our software "outstanding." Regarding refunds, some activities take multiple steps but we can help with the refund process you mentioned. With SiteLink Merchant Services and our processing partners, you can refund a customer's credit card directly through SiteLink in fewer steps than you listed. If you refund MORE than you owe the customer, you have to go into your virtual terminal, that is true; but most of the time, you should not refund more than a tenant owes.     Easy to find everything , once you have got use to the system. Customer support good in providing extra help where needed.

    Cannot provide a invoice for new tenants. New invoice does not have a invoice number for client reference. As a client of sitelink in South Africa, it is sometimes diffiult to get customer support beause of the time difference, but the support is always very good.

    Being able to use the system on the pc, laptop, tablet and phone makes it very flexible. Using MyHub when I'm working off site is extremely convenient. I love all the reports that are available.

    Cons

    A daily option on MyHub is needed. My only complaint is I have to be in the office at the PC to do a daily close. Not all options are available on MyHub.

Complete move-ins, view tenant info and much more right from the map. Add it to your website too (coming soon). Process credit cards, invoices while you work on other tasks.     I like the functionality aspect of the software. Once you learn certain processes through repetition..it becomes easier. Processing transactions for example.

    The ease of use and the Features & Funtionality is way superior than any other program I have encountered.

    Cons

    First is that the problems that occur after a major update has been causing everyone in the company issues with this program. I suggest better testing before roll out of an update. It appears that small changes cause bigger problems in other sections of the program that programmers are not aware that are related. Sometimes I feel that Tech support have no clue what they are doing and I know more about their software then they do.

Customer support is our top priority, so thank you for your input regarding updates and service. New features, once developed, are tested thoroughly by our QA staff however tweaks are sometimes needed. We communicate these enhancements to our customers directly. Our newsletter and real-time status website (status.sitelink.com) are other great ways to stay on top of all SiteLink news and info. Many of our techs have been here for years and we have very little turnover in our service area. I am wondering if the tech you spoke with was not sure what you were hoping to do rather than unaware of SiteLink features.     You can access just about everything for a customer on one screen. Easy to get on multiple computers.

    Not able to set up certain things specific to your property, very generic. Too many steps to do certain things. A lot of repeating through out different screens. Creating new forms is very generic, limited on what can be done. Hidden "secrets" that are useful but most do not know they are there.

    It is very easy to use and walks you step by step through moving customer in and out. It divides different storage functions into easy to use sections that anyone can learn. The customer service is great and they are quickly available when called upon. Overall, I have to say that SiteLink is amazing!

    Cons

    The website capabilities seem to not work with most Mac users. There is also no way to do move ins online, from our website, like there are with making payments.

    I love how easy it is to use this software. I do like the move-in screen, so easy to navigate. Customer service is a bit slow sometimes, but very thorough when you can finally reach a representative.

    Cons

    HELP needs to be easier to access with speed. Sometimes i need an answer while customer is present. Also, would be nice if I could back date a move-out since I am closed 2 days a week.

    The ability to automatic your work flow from day to day. Once set up properly, the ability to see at a glance what is going on that day from the reminders list. Also like the fact that multiple windows under one user name can be used with different locations. I like it that the TSSA leases can be used along side this.

    Cons

    If you are not familiar with the software, can be very frustrating to set it up. Maybe a setup wizard for new installs should be implemented. That when moving in a tenant, you can not get into a payment screen if stuck waiting on tenants info.

    The ease of use is definitely the big draw. New employees pick up on it quickly allowing our business to continue as employees move around etc. Also the power the software has to easily attend to all the different scenarios that storage presents. The revenue management and inventory management functionality makes growing your business and reacting to market trends easy and seamless. The reporting is robust.

    Cons

    Having to log in after every step. Some functions need tracked but not all. Gets tedious and forces users to use minimal and not very secure log in credentials to save time.

    Thank you so much! Your administrator's settings determine whether you have to log in anew each time you want to record a transaction such as a payment or move-in. Same for log in credentials: your administrator's settings determine the length of passwords and use of "strong" passwords. We recommend the latter but also use of programs to keep up with your passwords, not just for SiteLink, such as LastPass.com We do log all manager activities including payments, credits, reversals, unit size/rate/name changes and more.     The end user functionality and ease of use are my favorite things about SiteLink. The software designers made this software vey intuitive, which makes training coworkers on it a breeze!

    Cons

    SiteLink doesn't digitally save a coy of the exact letters you send customers. It only logs a note that a letter was sent. But makes it difficult to review the specifics of a letter on a future date with a customer

    Ease of Access, no long load times for site info. Quick updates/real time info. Use on a touch screen is a plus too.

    Clear Layout with not a lot of pop up screens for data. Lots of functionality and automation depending on how paper or paperless you want to be. Available third party APIs for function SL does not preform. Easy to see all the tenants info on one screen. The Automation is great, but I like how you can still control the info that is sent beforehand.

    Cons

    Support - on the ball 90%. I still have an outstanding ticket over a year old and the person ws not real interested in it. 3rd Party API - Great to have , but why do we have to pay for all the add-on when you are already a premiere software with a matching price.

    It does all the accounting.

    I love the End of Day Close. Opening procedures are nice. I like how easy it is to do a transfer. Making Lease agreements is also user friendly.

    Cons

    The program does not like rate change if people pay early to get the previous rate. Having to sign in every time you go to use the computer and sometimes 3 times of logging in.

    Many users rely on the Daily Close for its extremely accurate reporting and easy reconciliation. SiteLink's accounting features are powerful, unique and help managers uncover profit potential and more. Thank you for mentioning these features! Sorry for the frustrations with logging in. There are 2 settings that affect this, a time-out setting and a security log on. These were most likely set by your company as an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to data. SiteLink does love prepayments and rate changes. When tenants do prepay, you would not want to change the rate for those months they already prepaid. If tenants attempt to prepay and you have already raised rates for future months, SiteLink collects the higher rate for those months.     I like that it can swipe the drivers license and all the information is pre-populated for you from the ID. It makes move in so much faster! I like the different options available for saving credit cards on file.

    Cons

    You have to go in and out of different screens to be able to access the information you need. It would be easier to me, if the tenants and payments had the same functionality between the screens. I also feel that if the facility is a 24hr facility, adding a "time" feature in the reports screen for choosing stop and end dates, would be beneficial in the ability to show the beginning time from when the day was closed and payments and such to show after the day was closed.

The SiteLink Certified Professional (SCP) Training and Development program is also a fantastic resource for learning the software and using as a reference when you need. We have a new SCP module coming soon focusing on myHub, stay tuned. We have tried to integrate with Linear but so far their system is not set up like the many others manufacturers designed to work together with management software like SiteLink in self-storage. You can customize discounts based on occupancy and unit size and type. That offers more flexibility yet still allows discounting by linked units. We are happy we can make your daily work easier.
