eMaint is a computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) solution used by more than 50,000 users across 55+ companies worldwide since 1986.

Functionality includes tools for tracking, managing and controlling work orders and requests, assets, preventive maintenance tasks and schedules, inventory and spare parts, work schedules and assignment, monitoring equipment condition and supporting regulatory compliance.

eMaint’s Web-based, Software as a Service (SaaS) solution can be accessed on PCs, smartphones, tablets, and any other browser-based device. Every eMaint subscription package includes a Customer Success Manager, unlimited helpdesk support (via phone, email and live chat), daily data backup, and software updates and enhancements.

Cmms system has become a great asset to our maintenance team . Customer support is available about 18 hours a day to assist with any issues that you come across. They are always listening to their customers and creating new program releases based on these inquiries . They were very flexible in changing items in the program to fit our needs as every company has different needs and wants . System definitely has capability to do more than what we are using it for at this time but we are expanding slowly in the system . Once ready we went live and haven't looked back . 4 months and running

Original set up tech very knowledgeable but spoke over my head often not understanding my computer illiteracy. Fortunately i a volunteer intern and she saved me during the build process

original set up was tedious . I had to take my current paper system and create excel files to upload into the system . Asset set up is key and that took a lot of time since your trying perform your current tasks and switching over to the new . Fairly not emaints isuue on the build being so challenging as most issues were on our end getting from where we were to where we needed to go. Took about 3 months with the help of an intern that was computer savoy and understood all they were asking of us . Probably could have paid to have that performed quicker and easier but it all worked out . working on getting our fleet pms in the system now

Forms can sometimes be difficult to edit but that has been the only downside so far

they could come up with a low cost training solution that does not include someone traveling across the country I feel the more advanced training should be done after the system has been in use for a period of time.

Lay out a complete implementation plan at the start and be very clear on the types of screens you require. An example would be a screen specific to truck information vs. a screen for other types of equipment.

It is relatively easy to use and it's also easy on mobile devices.

It costs extra for more service requesters. I really would have liked to have 47 requesters but I was only afforded 10 at my level of subscription.

Recommendations

If you get a trial, take the time to build some assets in the system and really give it run before you decide to buy.

I have a history of all of our assets to keep track of. So there is no guessing on how long the assets before it fails.

The ease of use and the one on one time with our dedicated consultant has been great.

Consultants are very busy, and sometimes it is hard to get an appointment time set up with them. We probably bought too high of a package for what we need, but we will down grade in a year or so when we verify how far we will take the system.

Recommendations

Make sure you have the ability to talk to someone who has experience using the system. A lot of the salespeople I talked to before deciding on this system didn't really have any experience with what they were selling.

I really like the fact that every field can be changed, updated, or altered by a member of my team so that we can capture the information we need. It is not necessary to call a support tech every time we need a change; we can make our own changes and manage it ourselves.

We use it to create work orders to our vendors for various clients. I would like to see fields that are able to use data in the system to pull the needed data per work order. For example, if I need a plumber in NC because I have a client in Raleigh that has a plumbing issue, I would like to be able to run the ZIP code of my client, and eMaint could give me a list of plumbers within a 50-mile radius of the ZIP code entered, based on vendors I have already uploaded into the software.

Recommendations

Utilize the tools and resources available to you through eMaint: seminars, call in webinars, eMaint University. The options and its capabilities are always changing and updating. You may never know the software's potential if you do not know what it is capable of providing to you.

Recommendations

Check the amount of customization the others offer. There's not nearly as much as X3. As a user for many, many years with two different operations (which were completely different), I can honestly say that eMaint and X3 are the best.
