When I call with a problem, someone answers other end and try to help. Help desk is good

repeated calls to managers and IT are un returned, promises promises but no one ever delivers. We were promised the world to start up and completely lied to! The excuse was "oh well that sales person does not work here anymore". by the time we figured it out it was too late. Our company has lost significant money and had several deficiencies sited as a direct result of AXXESS not fixing it's issues or refusing to play by the State mandated rules! Horrible company horrible experience!

Recommendations

Definitely get recommendations from other companies in your state. Axxess would not give any references this should have been our first red flag!

They know how to sell the product. Good pricing. Perfect SN notes. Nice reminders.

1. Oasis:
a) Incomplete interventions and goals, e.g Cardiovascular System: SN to assess pt's HR ( 1 example). I was adding templates for missing goals and interventions.
b) Medications. We have to hit search for drop down window to open every time we add meds instead of opening the drop down automatically. Oxygen is not in med. list
c) POC interventions and goals not organized in rows. Instead appear as one paragraph. Difficult to see the needed interventions or goals.
d) No post hospital order like POC
e) Non Oasis POC does not pull Diagnosis from SN assessment. Have to enter manually.

2. Communication Notes
a)I have to add a com note to the open patient chart. Why I have to look for the patient, Doctor, and episode all over again if my patient's chart is open already.

3. Schedule view
We have to go through patient's one by one to check schedules. We have nurses with 20-30 patient's a week. It's time consuming.

4. Dashboard for Administrator (besides having in reports)
a) Need to see current patient census
b) Broken down by Insurance and ratio(how many %)
c) Late notes (how many and how late)

Recommendations

Very nice demo. Request trial period before signing a contract.

The customer support was always fantastic and the software was pretty easy to learn and use for everyone.

We are a new office/business and unfortunately we were priced out of continuing to use Axxess. Had the pricing been better, we would have stayed forever, but over 1 thousand dollars a month for software alone on a new business is too difficult to stomach.

Recommendations

Develop a better pricing strategy for companies that may have a larger amount of users but don't have many patients. Also, I would recommend working directly with nurses in fixing some pieces of the software. The only complaints that we have gotten are from nursing staff saying that it would be great if certain things were programmed to do something (i.e. flagging vital signs if input data is outside of the parameters from the plan of care).

The demonstration was thorough. Our questions before during and after were answered. The product began in response to the agency in the consultation field and many agencies reported what they were looking for as far as software and requested direction. The software understands from a consulting position what is needed to be fiscally successful, and clinically easy to use.

I love that I can pre-load my previous assessments to the SN notes and also to the OASIS. This feature saves a tremendous amount of time.
I also love that I can call AXXESS at any time I have an issue and usually get an answer within a few minutes.

I've come across a couple of issues in the past regarding the technicians not being able to fix the problem right away, making my productivity slow down. This was pretty inconvenient.

Another thing that I really don't like is when the entire system is DOWN...this has only happened a few times, but always seems to happen when I have no patients to see and need to get my computer work completed.

Overall....very pleased with the software. Ten million times better than what we came from !!!!

Whenever there is an issue with the program, I notify the Reps ans they notify the department that handles the issues and there is no communication from the front of the house to the back of the house. There is very little follow up once the ticket is placed with the back of the house.

Please have follow-up on problem tickets with the Customers and let them know what the status is of the problems.

Too many changes/updates without prior notification. I want to know about changes before they happen, not after!
I would like to upload a previous assessment into a new assessment, even if it is a different type. The M qustions are the same, so it should allow me to load it in.

Recommendations

Use the software completely the way it is set up to be used, from day one. Don't wait to implement things later, like billing. Do it from day one, or you will have a mess that can't be cleaned up.
