Did not adhere to their agreed price.

It's user-friendly. I like the software. We just have problems with their customer service.

The customer service was not good. We have two companies signed up with them. We received a discounted rate approved by the CFO and marketer for the second office because of signing up both offices. Five months later, they charged our credit card twice the price we agreed on. We contacted their accounting department. The person we spoke with was very rude and would not even listen to the fact that we had a discounted rate. After several emails asking them to resolve this, we received a very nasty emailed from this same person stating that the rate was no longer valid, but effective immediately, it was almost doubled. This was very unscrupulous of them and very unprofessional. I would never recommend this company.

Recommendations

Be careful. They will changed their rates on us without notice.

Check out the Mobile App. This app has electronic visit verification, and we were able to eliminate visiting clinicians time sheets. You need this to get the most back office efficiency.

Unhappy with Axxess

It is easy to use, and the reports are easy to understand.

Functionality

It's unable to track submitted claims and sync with user authorization, and it's unable to automatically post payments for HMO.

Product Quality

The performance is horrible, and we do not feel that Axxess is no longer reliable.

It's very good. I sometimes don't get callbacks. Messages are not tracked or saved, but overall, they are responsive.

Axxess is no longer reliable. We are seriously thinking of moving to another system because of the performance issues we are having. It lacks system validation to ensure that nursing progress notes follow the plan of care. It also lacks system validation to ensure that Oasis (SOC, recertification, transfer) sync and minimize discrepancies.

Recommendations

Improve the system performance and ensure that the system is reliable at least 99% of the time, including nights and weekends, as we do our billings after office hours.

It's very easy to use once you start using it. I'm not very good with computers, but Axxess has made this transition very easy for me.

There's nothing we can't do on this software that would require us to use another vendor for anything, such as billing. That in itself is a huge savings.

The quality of the software is wonderful. I have no complaints.

Customer Support

Our rep has helped us out so many times. I can text him, and he will reply ASAP. He has called us even when it is not working. If he has been unavailable, we have been able to get our questions answered quickly by anyone that's available. Everyone has been super helpful.

There are only a few things that I would like to see upgraded. For instance, when a SNV is scheduled for a specific date but the visit occurs on a different date, I would like the system to show the actual date of the visit on the patient's chart. This would make attaching signature sheets, labs, etc. more easily.

Recommendations

The View Doc area doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I wish that it put the doc in dated order or in its classification. It seems random. You have to search for things here.

My only complaint would be that it has to be online to operate.

It's easy to use, but sometimes, it's hard to know exactly how you should proceed. More compliance built in that would auto-create forms if required by Medicare would be nice.

I don't want to feel like I'm bothering the Implementation Specialist, but the beginning of the process is quite challenging. However, I can see where it will be a vital tool to our operations. I also don't feel prepared as far as the required documents for admission, where they are, and how to use the e-signature

I like the Medicare compliance flags, the ease of patient charts, the automatic creation of forms, the webinars, and the training videos (except the clinical part).

It is a very well-designed product given its simplicity and ease of use. It is reliable, and the customer support is always there when we need it.

Customer service does a great job in handholding and helping clients resolve their issues. When we first started with Axxess, I got used to the customer service crew and was very reluctant to talk to anyone who was a new hire. However, over time, I realized that Axxess trains their new hires very well, and they are as equipped in resolving the issues as the older crew.

The product is very easy to use. It offers comprehensive functionality for community-based patients. It's very intuitive and has a logical flow within the application. Even a person with no knowledge of computers can maneuver around it without getting stuck.

Users need to compare this application with others in terms of ease of use, data integrity, compliance coordination, and full customer service. By data integrity, I am referring to how the data flows from one section to the other and how one data element matches up with other data elements. It is very important for HHC software to allow accurate point of care data to be entered while keeping the logical flow of information.

I have never had a problem finding the answer to a question, either through online support or person-to-person support, even after hours.

The software is very user-friendly. All areas walk you through the task. The webinar training is offered on a rolling schedule, making it very convenient during the orientation process for new users. The software integrates with other processes for billing ease, cost reporting, and OASIS submission. It truly is a one-stop shop.

You can not schedule a visit unless that discipline is a user. For example, an HHA's schedule can be used without having that specific home health aide as a user. We are a small agency that really can't afford to put every employee in as a user, but it would be nice to have that schedule electronic.

Demo all the other vendors and software and have a checklist of what you want out of the software.
