Genesis Chiropractic Software


 

Developed for chiropractors, Genesis Chiropractic Software by Billing Precision is a web-based solution that offers EHR, scheduling, billing, and documentation within one integrated system.

Genesis is ONC-certified and comes with tools for EHR/SOAP documentation. The program uses proprietary technology that automatically creates tasks for users to correct issues without running detailed reports.

Compliance Monitoring systems are built into one workflow and managed from the single program. Claims that need attention are immediately identified to the staff, and users have access to the total number of tasks needed to maximize collections, patient retention, and compliance.

The software is cloud-based and compatible with Mac or PC operating systems and mobile devices, including iPads. Genesis’ Billing department provides billing services for buyers looking to outsource this task to outside group.

I have had other software that was very simple and easy to run, but with such ease comes the inability to do anything complex. Genesis is amazing but almost too complex.

I like this billing system, the contact people are easy to get a hold of and have been most helpful getting up setup.

Pros

They do our billing for us.
They have the best team on the planet for insurance billing.

Cons

The small font honestly, however, the system can be larger, but I find that I like to see the entire day.

Advice to Others

Do your research, talk to consultants, do the webinars, find what is right for you.

In the transition to the new practice. There was no help with setting up changes with insurance companies. Which created a disaster that is still being handled after 6 months. Luckily I was switched to a new billing team. But it took too long in my opinion for that to take place.

Must have a strong billing team otherwise, it is a con to have them do you billing
They give no help in assisting with transitioning to new address or changes with insurance companies
Lots of reports but find it is hard to figure out which to use at times.

Genesis gives you quick access to vital information when you need it, is very customizable, cloud based is great, and keeps the system up to date on ICD10's which helps for diagnosis and billing.

Overall I am happy with the product and would recommend it

Pros

The support is like non other they always answer the phone or emails

Cons

A lot of it is self taught. You have to spend quite a few hours watching videos and taking elementary quizzes to gain more info

So far the customer services is great! They are very timely and easy to reach for help. "Help Tickets" are answered quickly and efficiently. Billing is great. Able to see how services are being paid. Claims go out fast, but the best part is knowing right away if something did not go through. This was a problem with past billing, it took a month to see a denial or something missing.

Visually it is not as appealing as some other software.

Recommendations

If doing a good amount of billing out to insurances this a good software to have. Syncs up to posture screen and insight which is great.

Once you are trained on the program it is easy to follow up and keep track of every single account.

As in every system there is glitches, sadly when it happens I have to fix it manually, one by one.

Recommendations

If considering to buy the product, please keep in mind that there will be a training period that everybody in the office must do. So set aside sometime exclusively for training.

I can see my schedule, billing, statistics, history, EMR's all on one platform.

I love Genesis since I can use the software with any computer with internet access. It is cloud based system!! Also, I am a CBO doc. Genesis works great with posture ray and posture screening!!

Software speed is based on the internet speed. My clinic location has some issue with the internet and it sometimes slow us down with busy schedule.

Recommendations

There platform is so easy to use and user friendly. When it comes to customer service you won't find anyone better. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. If they don't know the answer, they will find someone that does!

Only complaint I have is the platform not working well with apple Ipads. I would love to be able to use an Ipad in my adjusting bays.

Recommendations

Make sure that you work with someone that really knows their product and can give you advice about how deeply the product can help your practice. It's one thing for a product to superficially look nice and seem beneficial but, when you get down to the bones of it the product should truly make you and your practice better and run more smooth.

My staff and the team at Genesis communicate easily and effectively. The system really works for you and provides information on patients, when they were last seen so you don't lose track of them.

There are a lot of tabs and in the beginning it is a little overwhelming. Once you figure out what you need to do it becomes easier.

Recommendations

Training is poorly organized. I also use Chirotouch and they take you through a long boreing process but you come out understanding how to use it. Genesis waits for you to ask the question. They let you screw it up and then help you fix it.

Recommendations

Make sure you get it in writing what comes with the software. I am about 99% positive the rep told me that appointment reminder text messaging comes included with your monthly fee. I know this because we were talking about how Chirotouch charges you for this appointment reminder service as well and Chirotouch charges you for data back up. He said we dont do that we include these services in your monthly fee. So be clear to what is included when you purchase.
