Close.io is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) system. It is suitable for small and midsize businesses in all industries. Primary features include lead management, call management, two-way email sync and reporting.

Close.io helps companies to manage their sales workflow. The software provides sales teams with a visual representation of ongoing sales processes.  

Other features include a built-in text messaging feature, sales pipeline view, automatic reminders and task management tools. The software has an open API and offers integration with various other applications including Zapier, Zendesk, Wufoo, Clearbit, Bedrock Data, Quickmail.io, HipChat, Tenfold and SalesOptimize.

Close.io is available in a subscription pricing model. Support is offered via email, phone, online FAQ documentation and a self-service knowledge base.

Pros

It pretty much has every feature built into it. Very simple to use and easy to look at.
Very fast and boots quick

Cons

Dashboard could be a bit better but very easy to set it up for great lead generation

There are many functions that will be useful to any team. We like to use it every day. It's easy to keep track of how the whole team interacts with customers. With the help of calls, reminders, and tasks, our workflow has become better and more efficient than before. Also, Closeio has good customer support. Regularly conducted webinars in which a lot of interesting and useful information for both admins and sellers.

Cons

I do not really like that when changes occur in the program they are not always immediately visible, developers need to somehow focus users' attention on the fact that there have been changes (for example, they will be highlighted in red or write in messages where and what has been changed).

The level of transparency on every single lead, and also into every single user is great. Also, history of communications is really easy to decipher. Pipeline management is simpleand Custom fields are easy to manage

The things that I liked the most:
-Everything that you need for sales in one comfortable place.
-Modern and well-customize design.
-It works quickly and even with the big base of clients you do not have to wait for loading pages and profiles.
-With any problems, you can contact the support team and get prompt help.
-Very well structured searching principle.
-Fair, clear and understandable pricing politic, you can see and understand what are you paying for and what you get for that. (And I can assure you that you get a lot)

Cons

Here I have not much to say, because all the Indispensable and valuable things that you need from CRM, Closeio covered well. However, the system of reporting is not realized 100% and requires rework. This is great that it exists but still...

i love being able to send emails directly from the crm. it's not just sync, but a full integration. it also has all the modern functionality you would expect from an email system - right in your crm!

my concern is how well this tool scales because of its relative lack of discreteness. it would be difficult for manage a sales team utilizing this technology

The program is fairly simple to use, contains a comfortable design and a wonderful build. In general, the positive feedback from our sales team, as employees say, in fact, that CRM is easy to use and allows them to call and send letters by e-mail quite quickly and simply. We have absolute access to everything, in fact, what happens in the trading process, we are more likely to contact customers sooner than ever, and be able to get an absolute overview of the sent letters, the number of calls made and much more.

Cons

Typically, the software is good, and all tools work without problems. Installation of this product is fairly easy and fast. Customer service is working pretty well. So I do not see any problems with this program and it's good.

Close has made it super simple for me to handle all my daily tasks. It allows me to essentially do everything I need to do on the platform without leaving. I really like how easy this software is to use and that it is cloud-based. You do download an app to your desktop, but that just syncs up with the cloud. Now it has become much easier to see communications with all of our clients. Multiple employees can communicate with multiple clients and it makes it so much easier to hold each other accountable when all communication is out in the interface.

Cons

I wish there was a better system for sorting leads. I would prefer to have subsections rather than single categories. I also think that UI is a bit plain and reporting is not very good unless you pay for the highest priced plan.

As a huge fan, I have nothing but great things to say.

Some of the biggest wins:

-Fast interface
-Robust and extremely powerful search tools
-Syncs with gmail (IMAP) perfectly.
-Ability to set custom SMTP servers for outbound email, while maintaining sync for inbound.
-Excellent support team
-Custom variables for leads. Allows sales team to get additional key insights
-Tasks manager and assignment

Cons

Only one feature that I can currently think of that I'd love to see and that's the ability to add custom fields to contacts within a lead.

It is a great tool to keep everyone on the same page. This is the best CRM for a SaaS company today! Built for hustlers by hustlers, the team is great and I look forward to their future updates. Our inside sales team use Close.io to work cohesively and ensure we are not having multiple people follow up with the same leads. Our sales staff also links in to see when follow-ups have been done. The features that helped us the most is real-time integration with Gmail. Next is solid template structure that allows for customization options and variable fields. The whole service is easy to use. It can easily search for past emails and share the status with other members because it integrates all the emails and calls with the leads to the platform. In addition, it allows adding tasks and setting up alarms. Great tool to organize the database, rank potential customers/investors, and size the opportunities.

Cons

I don’t like minor bugs. Sometime when I'm replying to an account it attempts to send the email to a different user. Thankfully, I have only missed it when sending internal emails. No native mobile apps yet.

Close.io is basically a hub for everything you'd need to nurture and close sales. It has built-in calling, SMS and voicemail drop from a unique phone number, all tracked alongside emails and notes. The interface where you track leads is easy to understand and train salespeople on.

Cons

The mobile app is glitchy. I would love to be able to upload new contacts/leads from a business card photo, but I haven't had any luck so far. Hopefully this will be resolved before too long. The desktop interface is amazing though.

I've evaluated a lot of CRM's and Close.io is one of my absolute favorites. If you need to make a lot of calls their dialer and integrated telephony features are some of the best available.

Cons

Pretty Expensive especially if you already have another VOIP provider. Unless something has changed recently you miss out on a lot of standard VOIP features like a virtual attendant. Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Marketing, etc.

Close.io has been great to work with. They have some really solid features and are coming out with more all the time. There would be a few things I would change, but it is simply preference. Very responsive when it comes to supporting and they shoot you straight with whatever might be going on. If you don't have the budget for SalesForce, this is a great alternative.

When I was doing direct email marketing, close.io made it so easy to feed in a ton of contacts, automate sending out personalized emails, then track who responded, who didn't, and keep moving people down the funnel. If you're doing email marketing, you need a tool like this just to manage everything you've got going on, and so that you can track follow up with people and really close more deals. Everyone I dealt with at the company was great too, and even the founder is reachable.

If you're organized and you'd like to pass that along to other coworkers, this is a great piece of software. It's easy to add fields for customers and leads, keeping pertinent information accessible for all entries. That information is easily trackable, with a great search tool that will find absolutely any query by searching across all entries.

Pros

The search bar makes finding ANYTHING very quick and easy. Also, the ability to see emails between colleagues and leads/customers. It's a great tool for support teams.

Cons

I love the organization of Close.io, but there are so many possibilities to keep track of, it can be overwhelming.

Advice to Others

Smart Views make sorting quite easy; customize 'em and use 'em!

For an early stage company I think Close.io has everything you'll possibly need. The higher tier plans also let you forgo a phone system in your office to make it even more cost effective.

Overall the system is very easy to use and the visual layout of the platform is very nice. And really most of the basic things you'd need out of a CRM are all there.

My only qualm with this system is that there are minor annoyances like not being able to unmerge leads in the event you accidentally might have done so. And overall contact management could be slightly improved but it's not enough to ruin the experience in my opinion.

Pros

I really like the ease of use and graphical interface. I also love that I'm able to dial straight from the platform and the templating system is fairly easy to use as well.

Cons

Contact and lead management could be slightly improved. Unmerging leads is not possible from what I can understand so be careful not to merge the wrong leads. Also if your working specific verticals, it's nice to be able to port a contact from one lead to another should they have switched companies but that's not a possibility either.

We're not the "target market" for most of the sales management solutions out there. We just needed something that could let us keep track of key accounts easily, give us a snapshot, and keep everyone on the same page..... and specifically me as a CEO to be able to bullshit check what the sales people are saying is the status of accounts (because now I can read all the emails and notes related to the account). Priceless.

We liked it so much, that we started another "organization" to keep track of our Series A fundraising... so we know where every investor is in the process, who has gotten what info, etc.

Pros

Flexible - easily tweaked
Not overkill

Cons

No mobile interface - nobody in our company sits at a desk and "does sales"... we are all on the road on jumping meeting to meeting, so it would have been awesome to have an app version or a more user friendly mobile version.
