The team is responsive, genuinely listens to feedback and consistently works toward improving the platform. Keela offers a lot under one roof; donations forms, donor reporting, analytics, campaign management and mass emailing tools, which makes managing fundraising operations much more streamlined. We’ve never experienced any security concerns or reliability issues while using the platform. Cons: At times, new features or updates are rolled out without prior communication. While it’s great to see continuous innovation, more proactive communication around upcoming changes would help teams prepare and adapt more smoothly. Reasons for switching to Keela We used Kindful by Bloomerang before. Tax receipting wasn't available on Kindful. We had to hire a third-party agency to do receipts for us. Ratings Breakdown 4 Ease of use 5 Value for money 5 Customer support 4 Functionality Pros: Donor Relationship Management is not the same thing as CRM, and the more I looked around the marketplace the less I liked what I saw in the big name software packages for CRM applied to DRM, especially with regards to pricing. But even if price were no object, you need specific features for Donors, and Keela simply does it better. It's not perfect, but it will save you time and effort. The donor insights and communications records that you can build through the interface are really excellent. Cons: In my opinion, the inability to generate end-of-year donation statements is very problematic. I think this may have to do with the fact that these practices differ outside the USA (and Keela was originally developed, as I understand, outside the USA). I do believe they will have this feature on the roadmap soon, which is a relief. I wish the membership options were a bit more extensive as well. Reasons for choosing Keela Pricing and features. We currently have been working with \[sensitive content hidden\] - she has been so helpful and has gone above and beyond to help us with any questions we have as we are navigation new parts of the Keela system. Keela has also been a lot more user-friendly than other systems we have tried. I really like the automation function, the ability to customize pretty much everything, and the way the data is logged and presented. Cons: Sometimes the segments and automation don't properly filter what I am trying to filter. Some of it has to do with the labeling of the segment filters being similar or unclear. Sometimes it just doesn't work properly and I have to get creative with how to filter. I am seeing that there have been a lot of updates made to rectify this and have been noticing positive changes. Sometimes the reporting isn't the easiest to navigate, either including sometimes the widgets breaking. And at time we are lacking the time it requires to make the most of it. The reports that are available have been useful for making decisions and planning future donor campaigns. Cons: One of the biggest challenges we’ve encountered while using Keela is figuring out how to integrate with Quickbooks in an easy way but honestly this may more on our end than on theirs.
