ClearCare offers a complete solution for private duty home care agencies that effectively manages the entire business, from client-facing functions to the back end. In addition to point of care capabilities, ClearCare also offers proprietary scheduling and telephony tools, as well as HR and financials, applicant management, sales management, and CRM.

ClearCare helps streamline care planning and automate back office tasks, eliminating paper care journals, time-consuming billing practices, and ineffective communication with staff, patients, and their families.

By integrating all office functions into a single user-friendly, highly-accessible web-based system, caregivers can quickly and easily manage their schedules, tasks, and any critical situations that need immediate attention.

ClearCare offers 24/7 access to the software from any media with an Internet connection, including computers, smart phones, and tablets (such as the iPad). Caregiver and family portals, provide transparency by giving everyone real-time access to care plans and other important information. The software's proprietary two-way messaging system also helps agencies quickly fill open shifts and communicate with staff in the field.

There are no setup or annual fees and there's no software to install. Agencies pay a monthly fee per active client. ClearCare is suited for private duty agencies of all sizes, including national or regional companies with multiple locations.

This software was super easy to use and as a start-up, it helped me get up and going faster then I would have been able to otherwise. The software is good for small to mid-sized companies, not sure how it would be for larger companies. My only complaint with Clearcare was customer service. It was impossible to get a live person by phone. They were great at responding to e-mail, but there is something reassuring about being able to pick up a phone and call someone when you are having problems. Clearcare needs to work on improving that.

A Place at Home chose ClearCare because it was the most comprehensive and user-friendly home care platform that we had seen. It also allowed us to manage our company from virtually anywhere. I knew that ClearCare was the right platform when we realized the ability to track all activity and access all of the data behind it. This has been the number one reason why we have been able to get 100% of our caregiver unemployment claims overturned. This literately pays for the system many times over. ClearCare's customer support has been fantastic.

From the onboarding process through ongoing support, they have been extremely timely, professional, and helpful. They make sure our issues get resolved and even have a ClearCare community area that you can post suggestions for updates. This community area is accessible to everyone and other members can vote on the suggestions that they want to be implemented. ClearCare invests in making their platform better more than any other provider I have seen.

Thankfully, we started using ClearCare shortly after starting our agency. It has been a major contributor to our accelerated growth and success. Because of ClearCare, we have had the tools to compete with the industries biggest competitors.

Our staff continually finds new ways to simplify their daily processes. It has helped A Place at Home run a LEAN operation. ClearCare continually puts out new tools and updates that help our staff better utilize their time. The more we use the platform, the better and more efficient our entire company operates. Because we continue to be "super users" of ClearCare and utilize all tools available, our time can be better allocated to caregivers and clients instead of trying to manage schedules, figure out payroll, and struggle with billing.

I recommend ClearCare to all home care agencies. To those not using ClearCare I ask, "WHY?!"

This software is very easy to use and I love how integrated it is! It syncs with my Quickbooks and all my files are nice and organized. There is also an option to run reports so it is easy to print clients' and employees' address and will easily export to microsoft office to do multiple things with such as have copies of reports and create mailing labels.

Their product has assisted us in many ways to streamline operations, reduce costs, manage client information and track caregiver schedules and hours. Although there have been some issues from time to time, ClearCare support has always taken care of concerns promptly. Overall very good company.

ClearCare is great homecare platform, reports are clear, scheduling functionality is a big time saver. It is simple, easy to use and navigate through. My office recommends it.

Pros

Scheduling, payroll and home assessments forms are great.

Cons

they do have some down time due to technical issues that are still being fixed, but normally doesn't take too long, just may mean that you have to manually clock a caregiver in/out during that time period

We use Clearcare for our homecare agency. We use it for scheduling, hiring, invoicing, running report and much much more. Clearcare is very much an integral part of how we are able to run efficiently as a homecare agency. I have used other software before and they do not compare.

Pros

1. You won't get better rates for workers comp insurance with any other company
2. Billing and receiving function is easy!
3. They are always working and updating their product
4. Performs core homecare functions perfectly

Cons

1. Setting up admin users can't be limited to the modules you want (ex: recruiter can only access new applicants and not customer section)

ClearCare was a no-brainer for us, with all of the options available on the marketplace today to agency owners, by far the best software on the market. ClearCare gives you the ability to grow your agency rather than be focused on fixing all the headaches that come with archaic software systems or the big named systems that take weeks to implement, train and understand functionality. We needed something that was scalable, front and back end focused and also easy to navigate, train and implement and get world-class support from. With ClearCare, they have mastered the software needed for Non-Medical Homecare agencies to focus on client care.

ClearCare was able to support our new division, offer us world class customer service and support, which was actually something that another Homecare owner mentioned they (ClearCare) struggled with. We were happy with our decision to use ClearCare and cannot thank them enough for allowing us to expand our Homecare offerings to the marketplace.

The family room is cool. Documentation tool is okay.

The support team is not able to implement any customizations and tries to sell you on how "easy" it is to do things the long way since they are missing basic features (we're talking 4 hours vs. 15 minutes if the feature existed). Once you create a plan of care, you can not apply universal updates to the plans of care for all shifts. You have to update each individual shift, and the system is kind of slow,so it can take hours to update 25 shifts in a 24/7 schedule. This alone is taking many hours of my time each week. There are also many other important features that just do not exist. Do yourself a favor and choose ANYTHING other than this.

Recommendations

Understand what you need and make sure the product will meet your needs. We were a new business, and others warned us about ClearCare but we were won over by the slick marketing collateral. It was NOT a good choice.

employee email addresses are only allowed to be used by one agency. If an employee works for another agency using ClearCare, they can't enter their email address for communications.

The scheduling and billing portion of the software is very user-friendly.

The telephony system is not as advanced as it could be. We had one customer who would spend three days a week at one child's residence and the rest of the week at the other child's residence. Difficult to find out how to turn telephony back on once turned off. Help is self-service.

Recommendations

This is a very good system, as easy to use overall. Make certain that the individual who will use the software is included in the evaluation process.

I wish it had a little more flexibility with who and what notifications are send out. Its an all or nothing thing. I would prefer to have one person get some notifications or specific notifications but if you get notifications as a admin you get them all.
