Great software, amazing support

In one word, excellent. I appreciate them continuously working with us and providing ongoing support and training.

PROS

The software flows very easily for our front line staff making charting easy. Additionally, when bringing on new users, it flows well and we have found a decreased training time necessary to be able to pick up on where to chart documents and software utilization. More so even that the software though, what distinguishes Hospice Tools from competition in my opinion is the customer support. They continuously check-in to see if we have needs, they are responsive when we need assistance, and they continuously update the software to meet the needs of our organization. The entire team is professional and I could not recommend this company more, both for it's software and it's people.

CONS

If we ever find we have a need to fit our needs, we talk to our client success representative who can connect us with the appropriate resources enabling the software to meet our needs.

Reason for choosing Hospice Tools

I felt the representatives at Hospice Tools were the most genuine and most in line with the mission and vision of our organization. The ongoing support they offered and assured when discussing their product reassured us, and in our time with them they have lived up to and exceeded my expectations for them. I am happy we chose to partner with Hospice Tools for our agency.

PROS

I like that it is easy to use, the cost is good, the billing is great, and the ticket responses are timely.

CONS

Not able to schedule and have notes attached to schedule department so we can run reports to see what documentation is missing. *****more people wound consider this software if it had the same scheduling privileges as axxess and kinnser.(wellsky).

Excellent on the go hospice charting

Good. Initially confused about the medication adding and removing but figured it out.

PROS

The ease of forms, navigation of the site and easily customisable

CONS

No ability to take wound care pics / only upload them. Also no talk to text would be helpful option

If you use our mobile apps, you can open a wound document and take a picture of the wound in the document rather than taking a picture and uploading it into the document. Additionally, all the text boxes do allow for talk to text functionality. You can download our apps from the App or Play stores for either Android or iOS devices. Promised certain features and they have never been available

Will definitely NOT renew my contract - system is just as bad as previous company I used

PROS

Access from any device. Can use in the field as long as you have internet access.

CONS

cannot schedule out patient visits, cannot make corrections for clinician to review, assessments are not complete, very vague pages per section.

I believed the sales guy who promised all these features. The contract states pretty much covers them if the sales rep offers a certain feature, they aren't responsible.

After seeing your review I checked with the success team and they report that despite their best efforts you have not gone through a single training session. Out of 70+ 3rd party reviews yours is the only one not 4 stars and almost all are 5 stars. Trying to figure out an EMR entirely on your own, even one as easy to use as Hospice Tools, is going to be frustrating. The points you list are all available: 1. cannot schedule out patient visits - we have scheduling with multiple views and filters & updates to frequencies too. 2. cannot make corrections for clinician to review - Documents can be amended and we have mentor mode for comments and approval of docs. We do not allow you to chart someone else's visit. 3. assessments are not complete, very vague pages - the documents are all customizable and we can add docs. Any "vague" language can be changed. No system is ever perfect and we keep improving, but without any training it will be hard to succeed.

Great Customer Support

Amazing - highly recommend. Very responsive and helpful. Go above and beyond. Super user friendly. Reporting is awesome!

PROS

I am inexperienced and both [sensitive content hidden] took time out of their busy schedules to go above and beyond to help educate me beyond the use of Hospice Tools. They are both wonderful!

CONS

We are using it for private care as well as hospice and since they specialize in hospice services, we don't always get what we need for the use of private home care.

Reason for choosing Hospice Tools

Flexible and willing to work with a very tight timeframe for implementation.

Reasons for switching to Hospice Tools

Not happy with NetSmart. Was not user friendly and nickle and dimed you for everything. Hospice Tools isn't like that. If you need training, they offer it. Netsmart wanted to charge us $6,000 plus travel to provide additional training to new users.
