Great Software! little issues

Overall, great experience, highly recommend this software to everyone who prescribes exercises. It has helped me to give comprehensive plans to all my clients with easy to read and follow instructions. The different print options and portal also helped me reach a much more diverse clientele. The ability to put your logo and customize it so easily is wonderful. All my clients have commented on how they appreciate larger print, easy to follow directions and clear pictures/videos. If you are a trainer, R. Kin, Physio, Doctor, or any other professional whom gives exercise prescriptions I highly highly recommend this, you will not regret it!

- Pictures and videos as well as the ability to add your own -Can customize exercise prescription easily and put your logo and credentials -Can customize instructions, even change pre filled in ones, rearrange exercises easily, create "stacks" and save them for later -Love that you can create templates and that the software even has a portal so you can easily send it to clients and they have their own "key" -Customizable exercise tracker -Can make it large font (good for people with vision impairment and older adults) -Various print out options depending on your clients needs -Exercise categories: Pediatrics, geriatric, amputees, orthopedic, etc.

Cons:

-The names of some exercises, trying to find certain exercises is difficult. Once you find the exercise you are looking for, best to save it to your favorites right away! -Inability to copy uploaded or personalized exercises. Would be much better if there was an option to copy or insert an exercise you created instead of having to add it every time you want to use it

Ease of use, more features for what I needed, it is Canadian-I don't know if the other ones are but I wanted to support Canada

Favourite Exercise Program

Simpleset is easy to use and I use it several times a day. I have been using this program as my primary program for the better part of the last 10 years and the team at Simpleset has made improvements that address even the small things that were inconvenient about it.

Pros:

I like that it is customizable and that there are ways to share folders with other practitioners in the clinic, although I would like to get to know this feature better.

Cons:

I need to spend time with the program to figure out how to easily share exercise programs and files with my fellow colleagues.

Reasons for choosing SimpleSet

I still use embodia occasionally for my pelvic health practice. I also enjoy their partnerships for education within the program. However, I continue to use Simpleset 90% of the times.

simple set review

I like simple set overall. My organization was reluctant to purchase software for me and I feel like this gives me the best bang for our buck. I use it daily and it is an essential tool in my work.

Pros:

I like that it is fairly easy to search exercises. I like the EMR feature that allows me to add the exercise descriptions to my chart notes. I like the ability to modify the descriptions of each exercise and can add my own exercises. I like the ability to add dividers between exercises and include an optional cover page

Cons:

I wish the search feature was a bit more refined; sometimes I search an exercise and get way too much that are not relevant. I wish it was easy to select or deselect exercises in the designer in stead of having to individually click to Unselect them. I wish there were more variety of exercises shown with variations to accommodate different needs ( ie: obesity, adaptations for various conditions). It would be helpful to have the ability to save cover letters to use again when doing a more generic letter. I wish there were more videos to accompany exercises- especially for the more complex concepts. I compared this software to physiotec and really liked the details in their exercise videos and descriptions

This product meets my every need

Patients tell me that they love the personalization I give them with the use of this program. I consider it a vital part of my practice. SimplseSet has gone from being a nice add-on to my practice 15 years ago, to a vital part of it, without which I could not operate.

Pros:

Searching for exercises is very intuitive. The option to save your favourites is very helpful. The option to upload your own photos and videos is excellent. I can take photos of a patient during their exercise, upload it to their program, and have it all printed, or emailed to them before their appointments is done.

Cons:

When I upload photos, sometimes the size is a bit small when printed off, and sometimes they are oversized. It seems that it would be helpful to ensure that they are all a standard size.

Reasons for switching to SimpleSet

SimpleSet had better functionality years ago. PhysioTec may have improved by now, but I have so much customization built into SimpleSet that it makes no sense to switch.

Most Adaptive Clinical Exercise Program Yet

-Electronic Medical Record button, makes charting faster -Duplicate button: enable copying existing programs so that you can modify them and save new versions -ability to save multiple versions of the same exercise -option to export as PDF - ability to import pictures and create your own exercises -easy to use favourite system makes most used exercises more accessible

Cons:

Difficult to change the cover photo for an exercise. Not integrated with the EMR system I use. Slow to upload photos.

Great experience, I've seen simpleset grow since 2014 and it's been tremendously helpful now that I work in a clinical setting.

Pros:

Intuitive design, specifically the design builder and bulk parameter adjustment. Overall simpleset is extremely user friendly. The EMR feature is awesome for speedy charting as well.

Cons:

Limited to clinical settings. I would like to have the option to prescribe not just exercises through dividers but perhaps link exercises to a specific divider/folder where the client/patient can open the divider and be able to see the exercises for that specific day (as an example). The database is great for clinic settings but expanding it to include S&C type movements would be a huge improvement. Currently physiotech has a larger database then simpleset which sometimes is a bit frustrating because they are nowhere near as user friendly as simpleset. The only issues I've experienced is the command-c when copying & pasting exercises & dividers across clients folders. It would be neat to expand the keyboard shortcuts aspect for those of use that are more inclined to use the keyboard instead of the mouse.

Excellent Rehabilitation tool

I used to draw stick figures for my patients' exercise programs. They were neither beautiful nor very clear. They were also time consuming. I can now send my patient exercises in a matter of minutes. It gets even easier once their profile is already set up.

Pros:

Simple set is very easy to use on both the physical therapist's side and the patient's side. I find it great that you can customize exercises and create exercise sets. This has saved me so much time in putting together and exercise program for my patients. I started using simple set when it first came out. How it has evolved is amazing. It has become so easy to use on any of my devices whether it be PC or an apple phone. My patients then receive their exercises and can save or print it with as much detail as they want. Lastly, this software is affordable to single practitioners. Other programs were cost prohibitive. Now, it wouldn't matter if the other programs decreased their prices, I have no reason to switch from SimpleSet.

Cons:

At times, my patients got confused on how to log in. Any other quirky issues have been resolved quickly.

Super quick to setup, therefore no real need to integrate with existing software - can be used stand alone. Great variety of exercises. 'Simple' interface to be able to easily drag, drop and customise programs. Ability to easily add new exercises in that aren't already part of the library. Addition of outcome measures has been good but I haven't had the chance to fully utilise that feature yet.

Cons:

Patients unable to input their data and progress to keep EP/Physio up to date - adding this feature would also increase compliance or at least allow the treater to put things in place to address compliance.

Physitrack is shinier and fancier but also clunkier and not as user friendly.
