Collaborative Supply Portal is a supply chain and inventory management solution offered by Ultriva. It helps manufacturers meet customer needs using forecast-based planning and replenishment systems.

Collaborative Supply Portal provides real-time visibility of supply partners on a single platform and helps in assessing demand, supply and planning in order to meet the orders.

The tool acts as a platform for collaboration between manufacturing units and suppliers and has a centralized database that can be accessed by buyers, sellers and the planning team.

Collaborative Supply Portal can handle Kanban-based replenishment cycle planning and helps deliver analysis based on defined or actual consumption, on-hand inventory and inventory sizing.

Other features include integration with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, inventory status reporting, supplier scorecards and unmatched replenishment flexibility.

Collaborative Supply Portal can be purchased either as a stand-alone product or as part of Ultriva’s Lean Suite.

I believe that Ultriva is the best of class KanBan solution on the market it is easy to implement and use. Training of Suppliers and Users is simple and quick.

Pros

All important Kanban processes have to be easy to understand and easy to execute, with complete visualization of inventory and supply chain with just by pushing a button it should be possible to optimize inventory levels without any risk of a material shortage, Ultriva accomplishes this.

Cons

Need to substitute the keyboard enter key and mouse button for GO

During our continuous implementation and enhancements of Ultriva, we have found the Ultriva team to be very knowledgeable, supportive, and full of a contagious enthusiasm of their product. In particular, our experiences working with Nandu Gopalun and Rajan Radhakrishnan have been all positive! We truly have become partners with Nandu & Rajan while mastering our implementation. They have continued to provide us with the multitude of tools to implement & enhance Ultriva. They treat our company as if they worked here providing their expertise and experience.

Pros

The greatest advantage of implementing Ultriva is the efficiency gained in managing thousands of part numbers within the ATK plant and between our Suppliers. The main concept of standardizing 80% of our processes and procedures has developed an environment of repeatable and reliable actions with accurate results. Ultriva is very user friendly. Most users can learn how to navigate and track their items within 30 to 40 minutes!

Cons

Our issues with implemenation have been mainly created with how ATK initially setup Cincom (ERP). We have attempted to orchestrate multiple systems thru Ultriva in order to standardize our processes, decrease our inventory, and make our Buyers more efficient in their daily tasks. Our main struggles included shortage of resources with ATK's IT Department, changing years of inadequate practices/proceses, and the difficulty in determining our task/steps in current state.

We have been very happy with the product and have tailored some the setup/analysis/reporting around the system to match our supply chain (longer lead-times and seasonal product). Overall we are very happy with the system and looking forward to the new version. We've enjoyed our relationship with Ultriva.

Pros

- easy to use
- suppliers have good visibility
- little down time
- visual interface

Cons

- I think some of the features we are lacking in the current version have been enhanced in version 7 that we are looking forward to using in the near future.
- don't have many cons with the system, the main thing we run into at this point are user issues

Resolve "cons" issues and we will be able to utilize Ultriva more fully and achieve more of our goals.

Pros

Good automation of inventory management and replenishment order process. Stockouts and overstocks have both been reduced.

Cons

Functionality regarding low volume, high MOQ (Min Order Qty) items is feeble. Little or no ability to work with Blanket Purchase Orders issued to suppliers. Little or no ability to combine multiple SKUs onto one Purchase Order for the same vendor (each card creates a PO which is very bad for suppliers with many SKUs).

Pros

Provides a good method of communications for the buyers and supplier inside sales representatives.

Cons

I do not like the Buyer and supplier interfaces. They are Kanban card centric and buyers and suppliers are used to dealing with purchase order and line numbers. Card level detail is just noise. It needs to be accessable, but both sets of users need to be able to work with the order data in the way they know not have to relearn their whole role.

This solution has reduced the efficiencies of the buyers and supplier inside sales personnel not improved it. With a redesigned interface it could be a much better product.
