Highfive is a cloud-based video conferencing and collaboration solution that provides employees in businesses across various industry verticals a platform to communicate and share information with their colleagues and managers.

Highfive allows organizers and presenters to wirelessly start and manage meetings from their laptops, phone or tablet and share screen with the audience in the room or remotely via Mac, Windows, Chrome OS, Linux and Android devices. Attendees can join the meeting via custom Highfive URLs, which are shared by the organizers.

Highfive also offers users hardware components which can be bought separately from the website and integrate with the solution. These components include wide-angle HD camera, a microphone array and high-fidelity mics.

Additionally, Highfive supports integration with Google Calendar, Outlook and Slack. Services are offered on a per user per month basis that includes support via phone and email.

Using it for Daily Meetings and Demos

Pros

For large group meetings which require screen shares and video conferencing HighFive is a home run. I also love the ability to have my own custom URL making it super easy for anyone to join the meeting. The record meeting functionality is also great for sharing to people that have missed. We also have it set up in conference rooms making it easy to cast directly to TVs.

Cons

No ability to boot people from meetings that are not supposed to be in there. To ability to toggle the other person as unmuted (they must do it) when they are muted. Also, it is rather laborious to join meetings and can get very confusing for someone that is not familiar. Go-To Meeting and Join.Me are much better for that.

A Good Conferencing Solution

Overall it has been a great conferencing tool for working with our remote staff.

Pros

All hardware is provided as part of the service making setup and configuration easier.

Cons

Licensing fees are changing which may make it more cost prohibitive. It is not as widely recognized as other conferencing products so corporate firewall blocking can be an issue.

It was once a good service, but now it's not

Pros

Once, this service was almost perfect. But over time the instability of many functions is noticeable. Most functions are performed, but with significant delay and frequent problems. At the same time, the quality of service deteriorates. I would advise every potential user to pay attention to all the technical characteristics and performance indicators of this service, before purchasing, installing and making Highfive a basic meeting solution that will be used on a daily basis.

Cons

Repeatedly, it simply turned off calls in the middle of a conversation without any warnings and error reports. Such situations cause users to doubt the reliability of this service and the need to use it in the future, especially for professional purposes.

Price rises, quality of service deteriorates

It should be immediately noted that this product stands out simplicity in its installation. At this stage, no one will definitely have any problems. Also, this service copes with its main task. Creating meetings within Highfive is very simple and it is done intuitively, which greatly simplifies the work. Because of its simplicity, the frequency of misunderstanding how to participate in a meeting is almost zero. As noted earlier, Highfive is a very intuitive online meeting solution, in which users have a minimum of difficulties and misunderstandings. So it was in our team. We quickly figured out how it works and started to conduct meetings through this service.

Cons

Initially, we liked how this service works and we did not have any difficulties. But over time, Highfive began to disappoint us. This product no longer works as well and stable as before.

Not integrated with convenient chat tools

I have tried out Highfive during a software selection process, using the software continuosly for about a month. The system is very easy to setup and works great but interaction between parties is somewhat limited by the lack of a more all-round approach. Would consider for team rooms indeed, not for at-your-desk video conferencing which often also requires chatting and exchanging assets and documents between parties.

Pros

Completely cloud-oriented, setup is a breeze and quality is consistent. Good for team conferences.

Cons

One-to-one interactions and video calls need to be better supported with a chat tool like Skype or Hangout.

In the room on the road!

Highfive is a video conferencing tool that is stacked with features and does it better than any of the other conferencing tools I've used. High quality audio, easy to use, and many features make it easy to feel like you're in the office when you're home or traveling. The program allows for screen sharing which is crucial given how often we're sharing or presenting information. It also allows for recording and saving conferences allowing for you to review meetings in case you have to miss a session. Strongly recommend!

Pros

Highfive does seamless high end video conferencing with ease. Screen sharing is simple to use and responsive eliminating most lag that typically presents in a screen sharing environment.

Cons

There isn't anything I can complain about regarding Highfive

Good product among video conferencing

Still using this product and I think other than price it is one of best.

Pros

I really like the cloud based system in Highfive. Because of that nearly no lag when video conferencing.
Mobile application is very neat and easy to set up. Don't need any additions support from anyone.

Cons

Pricing is high. Its is not affordable for small companies.
Customer support in website is little bit late. They took two days to contact me again.

Great Tool for Remote Companies

Pros

The tool is very easy to set up and use, and it provides the ability to have meetings in office and include remote employees or persons outside of the organization with ease. The ability to share screens and present is huge even when all are present in the room, so you can collectively work through projects together using one screen.

Cons

Depending on what you're looking for and how big the organization, the pricing can get pretty high! With it being a very effective tool, however, all things should be considered. Otherwise, the tool itself does exactly what it is set out to do, successfully and efficiently.

Nice tool for remote conferences without distractions.

Pros

It is super easy ti use and you could learn how to handle it in little time.
The sharing screen feature allows you to decide what window will you share, so you don not have to worry about a indiscreet pop up message window to open in the middle of a remote presentation.
And you can use it in your personal computer (desktop or laptop) as well as on mobile devices.

Cons

There could be a slight lag in screen sharing (even with great internet connection), I hope they're working on that. But in general it's a pretty simple and useful software. Nothing major to complain about.
