Healthland Long-Term Care is software for extended care providers. It works in tandem with vendor Healthland’s electronic medical records (EMR) system, and mostly serves rural hospitals and care facilities.
This system is able to submit Minimum Data Set (MDS) documentation to automate the reimbursement process. It offers response-filtering features and edit checks to ensure proper completion. A maintenance screen is included in this application to track changes in a resident’s condition between MDS assessments.
From the data entered in MDS documentation, this software generates Resident Assessment Protocol (RAP) worksheets. It also generates Health Care Financing Association (HCFA) 672/802 reports from the MDS data.
A clinical documentation application creates care plans, vitals reporting, intake and output monitoring, progress notes, discharge summaries and more. Progress note templates are available for facilities to save time during the charting process. Billing can also be automated by importing patient information from the facility’s EMR system, which reduces duplicate data entry.
