Workforce Ready by Kronos is a human resources (HR) platform that combines workforce management with human capital management (HCM) capabilities and is suitable for businesses of all sizes. 

Kronos Workforce Ready is a single cloud-based solution that incorporates recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation planning, time and attendance, scheduling, absence management, payroll and more.

Workforce Ready features a single employee record shared across all its applications. All employee data is maintained in a single database, with a single user interface to pull reports and launch workflows across the organization. Data is updated in real time, so managers can make decisions based on the latest, most accurate information. A mobile application is also available.

    You release the new site link however not all settings have been updated on the site link. Why release the link when it isn't fully operational?

    Pros

    Ability to run adhoc reports with your own filters. easily assign security roles and groups for visibility

    Cons

    customers service is normally on a different time zone. if issue is resolved in a release there is no notification on the case comments. government reporting has to be done manually. Unable to add filters to these reports.

    Excellent user interface and allows for easy edits of timecards and punches for all employees. The product is easy to use and provides great flexibility for the work environment.

    Cons

    There are a few issues with the ability or lack of functionality with approving shifts, or adding supervisors ability to approve shifts. I have heard issues with lengthy wait times for support.

    Straight forward and easy to use. Even if unfamiliar, its pretty easy to figure out where to go and what to do.

    Cons

    Couldn't get to work on Chrome, Internet Explorer only. Had issues connecting at times, especially when on Wi-Fi.

    There's potential, here, but Kronos WFR leaves a lot to be desired. The Cloud storage is ideal as it's portable and viewable anywhere. However, the headaches and frustrations that my team encounters (and employees utilizing the employee-self-service feature), outweigh the positives.

    Pros

    Cloud-based system, great Kronos support/community, employee self-service, ease of submitting a tech issue case.

    Cons

    - Seems everything I need WFR to do requires a "request for enhancement"
    - The things I need, that are unable to be accommodated, are very basic: file uploads being able to be sorted by ABC instead of date, running a report that has all Open Enrollment data that I need in one query (requiring manual review/combination of two separate reports), trend analysis, workflows allowing attachments (to digitize accounting functionality / check requests, etc.).

    I was a part of the implementation team for Kronos Workforce Ready at my company. It was hard to implement because we didn't have a lot of data that they needed, and honestly the data migration needed multiple "bad batches" of data because their team wasn't prepared to implement the changes we discussed.

    Pros

    I like how easy it is to learn how to run reports and make them work for our business. In addition, it is nice being able to send documents and tasks to employees and corporate team members without having to do extra manual work.

    Cons

    Kronos will tell you can customize evvverything in their system, but it's a lot of talk to be honest. It's hard because you'll want to add in a single field that's unique that you can also run a report on, but you can either add it and not report on it, or add it into a field that doesn't make sense and then not report on it.

    I am very glad we swithced from ADP to Kronos it has made my life stress free.

    Pros

    The way you can choose the columns for reports and make the report specific to my needs. Also you can put all of the information you need in front of you on your profile to use, this cuts down on searching for items you use on a daily basis. I also like that you can bring up all of your employee's at once and can search for them in different ways. Customer service at Kronos is acceptional they have alway been able to help me or they find a way to help me.

    Cons

    As a city employer we have a very challenging payroll the system hasn't been able to fully make the fire timesheets automatic, there is still some thing that I have to go into the time sheet and make manual changes.
    It was a challenge to get the system together there were a lot of hiccups in the beginning but they have so far been worked out.

    Good tool for those that are used to this product but needs to learn to navigate first for new users.

    Saves money instead of getting paper punch cards and able to trend employee behaviors and provide necessary action plan.

    My favorite thing about this software is that you can view your work schedule for both the upcoming and past months. The clock in/clock out times are so precise and its an easy way to keep track of my hours.

    Cons

    It is not the most user friendly and seems a little bit outdated. I wish there were less steps in order to check the status on requested time off, since there is a round-about way of getting to the right page.

    The overall use of this product is great. Its very user friendly, there isn't many functions so you don't feel overwhelmed when using it to clock in and clock out.

    Although I did enjoy the limited features, I wish there was more to this product than just punching in and punching out for the day. I never really messed around with the other codes on it.

    Promised everything would work with our setups, but only about half was delivered. We've learned to live with it by implementing manual work arounds that put the responsibility employee & the payroll analyst.

    Most of the reporting functions are great. The general look and feel of the website is great. Time clocks were easy to update when we got new badges and we never have issues with missed punches. The Manage Payroll function works well. It's easy to make changes to most features to get it working how we want it.

    Cons

    It's difficult to use with shift differential on time off requests. It requires multiple requests off from the employee just to get paid their shift diff correctly.

    The accruals function is terrible. It doesn't forecast into the future, which is a HUGE issue for employees & management. This doesn't let employees request for time off using future accrued time off. And, it doesn't give them any way to plan for future vacations. The fact that everything hinges on the anniversary date causes a lot of employee confusion. The Current Balance is supposed to account for Scheduled time off, but when the Scheduled time off is after the employee's anniversary date, it doesn't deduct from the Current Balance, so it causes a ton of confusion. Also, the Current Accrued column makes no sense to employees or even me, and I'm technically the 'Kronos expert' at my company. It would be great if you could get rid of Current Accrued & Taken columns since they cause more confusion and questions than anything else. When an employee using a Bulk Hours schedule requests time off in the current pay period, once the manager approves it, it populates their time card with the time off rows, but it doesn't delete the working hours, so suddenly they have 8 hours of work and 8 hours of vacation on the same day.

    While the support desk personnel are helpful, it can be very inconvenient to wait 1-3 days to get help with an issue or question. It's also hard to stop everything I'm doing when Kronos is ready to help me. I feel like my only choice is to drop everything I'm doing, because this is my chance, and I don't want to put it off another day. I feel like this puts all the convenience on Kronos support and none of the convenience on the customer. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone when I have the problem and I'm working on it.

    The Kronos update webinars to hear about new features & updates are painful to sit through. The presenter sounds like she's reading a prepared essay for a 7th grade class. I tried attending three webinars, and it was always the same. I feel like I learn nothing with this presentation style because I'm so distracted by the robotic presentation.

    I like the functionality of the product. It is able to track FMLA leave, accrue vacation and personal days as well as accurate timekeeping.

    Cons

    As a Kronos user for over 20 years, I would like to see "exceptions" print on the timesheet instead of having to attach a separate report to timesheets. This is a function I had on our old Kronos software and I would like to see this feature added to Workforce Ready.

    They need to hire a decent UI person to revamp the customer experience.

    Pros

    It opens on windows. It's capable of double verification using Okta. Not much else I really like about it.

    Cons

    Scheduling a vacation is so much more complicated than any system I have EVER used. They must have had a moron working on and approving the user interface. It fails to show when and where you have vacation time without some cryptic lookup. Then you end up double booking a vacation because it does not show it. Absolute royal pain to have to use this software. Such a time waster. The logging of daily hours is not much better.

    User friendly for the most part; easily formatted, has learning functions if there is something you do not know or not familiar with using.

    Cons

    If a missed punch; cannot add the mis-punch with one time, and then automatically moves the other times in the correct format, you have to re-enter the other days back in correctly.

    Generally Kronos is better than our last system and more useful to us for reporting and tracking information.

    Pros

    Generally, entering information is easy and reporting is better than other systems we have used. The detail of information is also helpful for many reports and useful for planning.

    Cons

    Inconsistency with how some things are entered compared to others. Date issue with pay dates. You can't enter things when they are effective without considering when the pay date is because it seems Kronos can't distinguish from the end of a pay period and a pay date for that period.
