HR Software will meet but not exceed your needs

Pros

Kronos does the job in terms of managing our over 3000 employees. We had to integrate with Taleo for onboarding to fit our needs, and also a custom solution for an LMS. In terms of managing the employees data and handling timeclocks / timekeeping / payrolls, it does the job efficiently.

Cons

Too many customization options leads to a longer turn on process once you select their software. We've had their software for years and are still working on getting scheduler put in place. Do not self host this software, you will run into problems!

Cons

Sometimes when the Wifi or internet is not working, the system goes down, this is a hassle because you have to manually enter each employees time.

From Employee Standpoint

Pros

I used this as a time keeping software for my employer. It was easy to navigate and see all of my paystubs.

Cons

No history of changes are kept. Was told it was difficult from management view to determine overlaps in scheduling requests (couldn't view from my side if shifts were available or conflicting either). It was difficult to figure out initially.

Kronos was the answer to everything other services couldn't give us.

We love Kronos!!

Pros

The report creating feature is very user friendly. It takes only minutes to create any report from the data in our system.

Cons

There really isn't anything that we dislike about the system. Perhaps the only drawback is when we have to contact KGS and the issue isn't resolved promptly which is rare.

Good for time management employees are able to clock in & out easily

Cons

The lunchtime clock in/out does not round like at the beginning and end of the day so unless you are gone an exact 1/2 hour or hour...you are left with weird amounts of time like .02 hours short or over.

Keeps up with your hours so you don't have to.

Pros

We use Kronos for all hourly and salary staff. Fairly easy to use navigate, and download reports.

Pros

I like that the buttons and features are quick to access and use.

Cons

Not easy to have multiple job codes and switch time. Rules aren't as flexible as they need to be.

Good system that is user friendly!

I'm not really using it to solve problems but have used it as an associate and as a manger but it does work well for the companies needs.

Pros

The system is easy to navigate whether you are on a phone through their app or on the computer.

Cons

There are parameters set by the company using the software and instead of alerting you that you can't do something right away it let's you go through it all before telling you that so you waste time.

Kronos WFR makes job easier

I recommend Kronos WFR to anyone with a large number of employees.

Pros

Kronos WFR has made timekeeping a breeze. My payroll goes so much smoother now that we use Work Force Ready.

Cons

The only complaint I would have is the lag time Kronos Work Force Ready gets about once every week or two. However, i will say Kronos is quick to
respond that they are working on the problem.

Looking forward to discovering more of the benefits of the system. Yesterday we used the SS# verification for the first time and were very excited to see how much time it will save us on the future.

KRONOS has been a life saver

My overall experience has been pleasant. We have had very little down time with the software and I have not run into a single problem with my employer about keeping track of the time I have worked.

Pros

The best part about the software is the ability to check in and out from my desk. I love the ease of signing in/out without using the time-clock at my hospital.

Additionally, the functionality of looking at current/previous time schedules to know exactly how much you have worked, how much over-time you are getting, and when paid-time-off is being used is excellent.

Overall the software works as it was intended and I have personally had no issues whatsoever with it.

Cons

I do not have any cons to report on this software.

Time Keeping with Hiccups

Pros

The program helps with time keeping and allows payroll to have a digital record. Once you learn the best way to enter your time and the coding, it becomes very easy and straight forward.

Cons

When updates occur it removes functionalities and it took a patch through our IT department to fix the issue. May be confusing how to find the actual time card function as a new user as there's no clear instruction or direction provided.

Too Much Flexibility

Better communication and opportunities for training would go a long way!

I love that Kronos has the ability to be all-encompassing for our needs. Time and data, labor reports, staffing etc. It has a really great modern design so it’s visually appealing to users.

Cons

Kronos is designed to be expensive. We are consistently paying more for build out help or reaching out to support. There are multiple ways to access nearly everything and if something changes, you don’t know about it until it suddenly stops working or creates a payroll issue.

Exceptional customer service support and updates! Great resources through Kronos Community. The notification that pops up once logged into Kronos is very helpful and provides relevant important information and reminders. Love how easy it is to create, edit, and share reports.

Cons

No major complaints. I suggest to continue to work on improving Workforce Ready so tasks can be completed with fewer clicks and less navigation. Another improvement would be to remove the current requirement to submit payroll two days before the payroll date. When a holiday falls somewhere within the week, it can become difficult and a bit of a time crunch to try to submit payroll in time. If you could change the requirement to submitting payroll one day before the payroll date, it would greatly help.
