About Bamboo

Bamboo is a continuous delivery solution that enables users to automate the processes of compiling, packaging and deploying applications, while tracking its progress as it runs. The software offers scalability, resilience and reliability through built-in disaster recovery for teams of any size.

With Bamboo, users can automatically build source code against multiple environments and platforms, run automated tests and publish your build artifacts to a variety of locations. Builds, tests and releases can be combined into one single workflow. Integrations with Docker and AWS CodeDeploy simplify releases, while Opsgenie integration empowers teams to rapidly investigate issues. In addition to features found in other CI/CD tools, Bamboo includes an integrated B2B marketplace for plugins to expand the available feature set.

    Pros:
I really love how it's very pure and simple, and how it's already connected into our Bitbucket and Jira instances. It's less product hopping.
    Cons:
I don't have much I don't like, maybe if I were able to have more customizable options. But I'm not picky as it does a great job.

It is a good program to work with but very expensive

    5

Another indicator that we liked was the wide range of languages supported, let's say that we believe that the price paid was very high, I think that we did not have a good compatibility priority in this sense since it always took hours for our tickets to be attended to.

    Pros:
Very fast automation of the products since it provides continuous integration with the Atlasian software, it increased our production in a generic way very quickly, almost no errors in the process chain, it had good integrations with other Atlasian programs such as Bitbucket and in that period of time we did a lot of work with these particular tools since we already knew how to use them.
    Cons:
Bamboo did not allow us to easily configure and manage multiple environments such as development, testing and production, which at first they promised us would work perfectly, this was crucial to not have it as a main development program since the applications we used or the projects that we needed to generate were increasing every day. Consequence value very high to compare it with other programs in the development environment, since others allowed us simultaneity in this sense.

    Reasons for switching to Bamboo

Time lag support, this complicated us enormously.

    Pros:
The fact that it is integrated into the Atlassian suite is the biggest advantage of this product and maybe the only reason to use it over top solutions like github or azure devops repos.
    Cons:
The difficulty of having a custom GUI client and the fact that its licensing costs way more than other alternatives are very negative for us.

    Cons:
I'm not a big fan of the logging. The logging isn't very accurate and you need to do a deep dive into the code to figure out the actual issue during failures

    Pros:
Bamboo is very easy to use. Once someone creates a build, anyone from the team can build and deploy very easily using Bamboo UI with a few clicks. If the build fails because of some reason we can quickly take a look in the logs and find the root cause of the failure. Also as part of the build process, it shows associated Jira code commits tickets. Which is very helpful to find the new changes which are going to deploy thru any particular build.
    Cons:
I don't see any measure issue with Bamboo.

Perhaps adding additional hooks to the application, also open source package management build in.
