Great for motivation.

Pros:

I enjoyed being able to see other users within my company and their respective step scores. It keeps me motivated to see what I can do to improve my own score to try and beat theirs.

Cons:

inKin sometimes refuses to update my steps automatically through Samsung Health. I need to manually enter some missing days.

Great App for Corporate Step Challenges!

From what I've observed and seen being a participant in the challenges with our company is that it certainly has gotten people moving! People are more aware of their health and more motivated to move and be healthy. Even personally I found this to be extremely helpful. I went from around 2,500 step today to 12500 a day! Fantastic

Pros:

Once you get the hang of how to set everything up this app is really great! It does everything it needs to do and it's quite well built. I found it quite easy to navigate to each page and section that I needed for the challenges and for individual health tracking.

Cons:

I found it a bit difficult to navigate when we first set everything up. I did also notice that it does not sync with Samsung Health? We lost a couple people in the challenge due to this Factor. It also took a little bit of time to figure out that steps only appear after each hour if you're using the Fitbit app to sync your steps. What would be more helpful is a few more frequently asked questions or help guides to drill down into some of the practicalities of the app. So that when there's roadblocks to usage the answer is easily found.

Reasons for switching to inKin

InKin was more cost-effective for us. I believe move spring was either raising their prices or something along those lines so we were looking for a better choice.

I like InKin's ease of use and general connectivity. The platform has allowed members of our team to do some basic fitness challenges which have been nice.

Cons:

We have had a number of issues with the InKin app - metrics not syncing with InKin though they appear in our Apple or Android metrics, not having the ability to do company centric team based competitions until recently, and issues with manual input for those who do not have compatible software.

Its easy to use when it synchs. I like that it gives us a goal as a group to keep moving. I like competing with my co-workers and we're all in different locations so it keeps us going.

Cons:

I assume it's quite difficult to synch with everything out there. I can't synch for all the challenges we've tried to do and we have a few people that can't synch at all for whatever reason (or whatever tracker they use)

It is ok, but you can still cheat during competitions through other connected apps.

It was ok - just seemed slow and not the quickest app.

Nice place for many users to connect. I didn't like the lag for updating data.

Cons:

It doesn't stop people from cheating on other connected apps. We saw people getting 1.2M steps over several weeks which is pretty impossible unless you don't sleep.

The sync time is a bit slow for my preference. Sometimes I have to refresh and it'll sync after a few hours.

Easy to see my steps and activity, and to compare my activity to others in my company. We use it for company competitions/challenges, and it is great.

Cons:

I wish Apple activity minutes fed in. Right now we can only use Steps from Apple Watch.
