About Pembee

Pembee is an activity and event booking tool for instructors and their customers. It enables kids’ clubs, workshop organizers, educational organizations, and freelance instructors to list their classes online and accept payment both on- and off-line. As a fully customizable platform, it allows instructors in any field, including fitness, sports, wellness, business, and crafts, to market their classes, manage bookings, process payment, keep attendee records, and communicate with their attendees.

Some of Pembee's key features are the ability to process and record credit card payments as well as payments in cash or childcare vouchers, reveal page visitor count, calculate the revenue generated through the platform, keep a class register with filterable attendees, send e-mail confirmations, and create custom booking forms. Each user is able to produce multiple varieties of tickets, issue one-click refunds, and send payment balance reminders to attendees from a single dashboard.

Pembee x SOTO - Something Out The Ordinary

Pembee has been a game-changer for our organisation. It’s incredibly easy to use and amend, and every update feels purposeful and well thought out. Our parents regularly comment on how straightforward the booking process is, saving them time and reducing admin stress on our side. The platform delivers a seamless experience, both for customers and our team, which makes running our services much smoother and more efficient.

Pros:

The layout is clear and intuitive, making navigation easy for both the team and parents. We particularly value how easily accessible and manageable the various provisions within the platform are. It keeps everything organised and gives parents confidence in booking quickly and correctly.

Cons:

The only challenges we’ve found are with the register and pricing setup. Currently, the register is fixed to sort by surname, but having the option to sort by age group or class would make it much more efficient for our team during busy sessions. Additionally, there isn’t an automated total ticket price for ‘All Sessions’, which adds an extra manual step that could lead to errors if not calculated carefully. These improvements would make an already great system even better.

Pros:

The communication with [sensitive content hidden] and his team has been phenomenal. We have felt supported from the beginning, given a lot of flexibility to ensure the product was right for our business before committing and a lot of follow-up support once we went live (which continues as we try and tweak our processes to improve efficiency).

Cons:

As with all systems, there are a few elements that do not fully fit our business processes in the way a bespoke system would. However [sensitive content hidden] and the team take all feedback seriously and have already implemented changes to help support us. Also, for the cost of the service, the small elements we have to compromise on are completely worth it.

We have been very impressed with how easy Pembee is to use compared to our previous booking system (which came from a much larger / longer established booking company) and the customer service is excellent. They are always quick to respond with help and advice, and if we need the functionality 'tweaked' they listen to us and explain if they can do it (and provide a timeframe for delivery) or explain why they cant do it at the moment - or they suggest an alternative work around.

Cons:

It would be good if there was an 'app' on the smart phones that we can ask staff to log into. But we have a workaround

They were v v expensive, the price was increased substantially every year and the functionality didnt fit with our business model and they were not interested in helping us. We got the impression that we were to small a company for them to bother with, as they had grown they were aiming for bigger companies with higher spend. And their customer service deteriorated as they got bigger.

Great Booking system, easy for both customers and staff to use.

Our previous booking system was going offline and we needed a replacement, Pembee worked with us to ensure their system could offer everything we needed to continue the smooth running of our business. Pembee customer support is second to none. Setting up the system was straightforward and there was always someone on hand to help with any queries we had.

Pembee have offered us excellent support from day one, we couldn't be happier with them.The online booking is easy for our customers to use, and it links in well with our existing website. Features like payment links & online registers make it easy for us to keep up with bookings and payments, cutting down on time needed for admin.

Cons:

We don't have any cons, the changeover to Pembee was simple and our customers are happy using the system.

Pros:

For the past 3 years I have been manually keeping track of customer payments & registers. I had been looking around for a more affordable app that is easy to set up without having to manually import all of my current customers details. With Pembee I just sent the link and my customers did all of the registration. It generated a register and saved me a lot of admin time. I also like that you can add a password so that you had control over who could book and could disable the bookings and set limits.

Cons:

A quicker way to move customers to other bookings if they had booked the wrong one!

I have easily built this function and then came across an issue, contacted customer service, I got a response in minutes! The software is amazing! Saving attendee details and the add to cart function is fab!

Cons:

We would like more image options, a calendar option, but we have been informed that they are already on their way! A live chat option would be really helpful too!
