Social Security Timing is a cloud-based tool designed to help financial advisors analyze and select suitable social security strategies for their clients according to requirements.

In order to use Social Security Timing, financial advisors first input their client's data, including personal details, income and social security information. The tool then analyzes this information and provides the advisor with a list of recommended social security strategies. Advisors can further customize these recommendations by adjusting the inputs according to their clients' needs.

SST is a good package and your support is excellent. The main reason I cancelled my subscription is that I now get similar software and support at no charge.

Pros:

When I first started using SST the SSA allowed for a file and suspend strategy tied with spousal benefits. The software made it look easy to work with that complex calculation. Once SSA changed the benefit claiming rules, the calculation became much easier and the choices became limited. Beautifully generated reports added value to my practice. Your team always provided expert advise which was much appreciated.

Cons:

I found with the new SSA benefit rules that I was using the software less and still paying $49/month. One of my asset managers where I place much of my business provides similar software and report generator free of charge to me.

Pros:

I have worked with several different SS timing software programs and Social Security Timing is the best. It's accurate, customizable and the customer service is worth the service alone. They will answer Social Security questions by sending the SS.gov site info directly to me. I've used their customer service as a resource.

Cons:

One thing that makes this software great is that it will allow you to put in the earnings from the SS statement and also a non covered pension to determine the exact WEB or GPO offset.

Great Information for Social Security discussions!

The software enable you to use detailed SS information to show detailed possible outcomes and make a recommendation based on those projected outcomes. very helpful in discussion with your client about longevity and alternative electing strategies.

Cons:

However, this software as a stand alone piece doesn't satisfy when you are trying to do comprehensive planning.

A Long Standing User

When to take SS and how it fits into the client's overall strategy. I review every page with the client on the presentation.

Easy to Use - 4 Options - Cash Flow Pages - Credibility I establish with clients by using it. Many advisors do not take the time to discuss SS with their clients. "The decision you make today may have to last a lifetime so we need to get it right the first time"

Cons:

The new Platform. I like the Legacy - please keep it. I only use the SS Portion and use a 2% inflation factor. I do not integrate other items into the presentation.

SS TIMING REVIEW

It’s been a good experience. It comes in as a great tool working with folks that come from my Social Security workshops.

Use in conjunction with Retirement Analyzer to provide retirement income planning for clients.

Cons:

Hard for me to create custom scenarios ...I get confused on where and what numbers to enter in And why. I often call customer service to help me. CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM IS FANTASTIC ... prompt, professional and knowledgeable. That the PRIMARY REASON why I am still using SS TIMING SOFTWARE and continue to as long as the customer service team is available to help me.

Social Security Timing Review

It allows my clients to see exactly when to take their social security when their financial plan is being designed. It gives them peace of mind.

Cons:

At times, the software can be confusing, especially when trying to decide whats the best alternative to take social security. I guess it depends on the situation, but there are just a lot of variables.

My overall experience is outstanding every time I need to call the company I get someone who is very very helpful I liked the software as it was before but I have not used the new version enough yet

Pros:

I use this product so that I can do a financial planning so the chart I like the most is on page 2 which indicates how much money they will get each year from age 62 to Age 70

Cons:

It does exactly what I need it to do. Currently I find that the new version harder to work with

Social Security Timing

Social Security Timing provides me with a powerful tool in having the discussion with my clients about one of their biggest financial decisions in their lives and probably THEE most important decision for their retirement.

The narrative of the recommended age(s) to take benefits combined with the graphics.

Cons:

Although I understand why, it is time consuming and tedious to have to input every single year of Social Security covered earnings into the system.
