thinkorswim very powerful trading tool

Customer support to help me set up my screen to my liking was absolutely superb. Trade execution has been outstanding.

Pros:

The ability to place "OTO" (one triggers other) orders, as well as the ability to use an accessory api program to engage in algorithmic trading.

Cons:

Sometimes their inventory of stocks to short is a bit slim.

Think or swim review: Excellent charts and indicators, reasonable backtesting

Overall, I am very satisfied with the platform. I am constantly looking for a new edge so being able to code a new strategy would be helpful.

Pros:

Chart clarity and indicators are by far the most important aspect. The ability to code your own strategies is a very nice features, however, learning thinkscript is a tough learning curve.

Cons:

Using thinkscript is difficult to learn. Schwab should consider a detailed course on programming with thinkscript.
