About Citrix ADC

Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler) is an application delivery and load balancing solution that allows businesses to manage applications' availability, performance, and security. The platform comes in a wide variety of form factors to fit the needs of different organizations, including branch offices, remote workplaces and data centers.

Citrix ADC offers application acceleration, access management, load balancing, traffic management and other features. It also contains a web application firewall, which enables administrators to secure websites from online attacks.

I loved using Netscaler to work from home. I found the transition seamless when I had to work outside of the office.

Cons:

Never had an issue connecting to my remote desktop when I worked from home in the past.

Pros:

Balancing can be configured easily for heterogeneous applications and once it's done it works fine without trouble

Cons:

Lack of technical people with knowledge in the region. Support from local vendors is not good so you will need to have support from the matrix

Pros:

Very good software that is available as virtual or physical appliance with tons of networking features such as load balancing, rewrites, SSO, MFA, gateway, web content engine, application firewall (among others). Very low on maintenance and can run stable for years on end.

Cons:

Citrix support is notoriously bad. I would recommend leveraging a third party consulting company for implementation and support of this and other Citrix products.

One of the best load balancing devices on the market with many other capabilities.

Pros:

Users love the efficiency gained through SSO and load balancing allows for a great experience. Citrix works best with Citrix so pairing with XenDesktop and XenMobile and ShareFile creates an even better experience.

Cons:

It's packed with functionality and can be seen as complicated. Networking team will need to have a deep understanding of networking in order to take full advantage of its capabilities. Training and certification is recommended.

I have worked on NetScaler in Ericsson & HCL. It is really user friendly to handle the tool.

Great Software

I use this software daily in my profession. It is very easy to use and the IT is very quick to correct any issues it has. I am excited to see what they come out with next.

This software is very smooth and easy to use. It is self explanatory and very well laid out. Simple and quick to adapt to.

Cons:

There is a few times I get error messages, but it is still a great product so I do not mind waiting until they get the bugs worked out.

Pros:

When I am able to successfully access my VPN via NetScaler, it works well. I am able to access all files necessary.

Cons:

Cons - it's slow. This could be a result of my wireless strength or the servers or speed on the VPN but it is slow. It also only works about 50% of the time. I almost always need to attempt to reconnect 2-3 times before becoming successful. It always fails to pick up my Citrix app.

We have all the apps we need on the portal to ensure we can deliver and meet all expectations for our clients. It gives us security and trust on both ends when handling confidential or sensitive information.

Cons:

Great level 4 load balancing solution, a real must in distributed applications

Pros:

Configuration level and balancing characteristics are just great, I can easily configure load balancing and have a functional solution in short time

Cons:

Theres's nothing related to trace monitoring or identify issues related to traffic, data or traffic analysis. We had to buy another solution for get this done.

Pros:

I like that we are able to access our applications from anywhere and it's very secure. Since upgrading we have had a much better experience with the product.

Cons:

I am an administrator but only need to assist our users occasionally. I feel like they could improve on the ease of things.
