Super Happy with Buzzsprout

We were seeking to find a way for those who had missed our Sunday church services to be able to hear the messages. What we discovered is that the messages were being heard far more broadly. We have people all over the United States who listen regularly and even a few overseas who listen.

Pros:

We got started in podcasting our church sermons and other teachings using Buzzsprout. It was easy to upload the mp3s and edit the details. We have had no issues losing recordings, and Buzzsprout doesn't have a lot of downtime for maintenance. The added features of being able to link through popular outlets like iTunes, Spotify, etc. has enabled us to expand our reach.

Cons:

I must admit that I'm not super techie, so I may not notice the weaknesses in this service. That being said, I've got no complaints, at all.

Great software for hosting your podcast

Buzzsprout has hosted my podcast, almost 200 episodes, for several years.

Pros:

Buzzsprout is easy to use. I'm not the most technical person but I've done close to 200 podcasts and Buzzsprout has hosted them all. The price is pretty good as well!

Cons:

Sometimes it takes several tries before my file uploads. Other times it works with the first try. The time for the file to upload varies as well.

Couldn't launch a podcast without them

Overall, Buzzsprout really simplified the whole process of launching a podcast and finally got me to stop dragging my feet.

Pros:

They guide you step by step through the confusing maze of launching a podcast. I especially like how you can create video clips of podcast sections to use on Facebook. Probably not a necessary feature but they go the extra mile to help you promote your show.

Cons:

I don't like how the player loads on our website. I haven't found a good way to get the podcast player to show up on my blog. I wish there was more functionality there.

Our tiny independent company produces currently the only LGBT publication in print, though only a few times a year. We needed to reach a wider audience in different ways but since none of us in the team had experience with podcasts, the medium seemed daunting. Luckily, Buzzsprout was easily navigable and through its straightforwardly simple interface, using this became second nature. Consider us more motivated to create more podcasts and give greater rise to LGBT voices through the airwaves.

Cons:

At first, we weren't familiar with some of the terminology used in the program but with a little Googling, it wasn't hard to embrace the software.

Pros:

Buzzsprout is inexpensive and incredibly easy to use - making it easy for a newcomer to get started. With the advent of regular emails, blog posts, and a suite of podcasts about podcasting, the service is helping me grow my podcast and offering me the opportunity to encourage others who are launching new shows.

Cons:

The user interface has been slightly clunky but those issues have been resolved in the last couple of months. I'm excited about where BuzzSprout is headed.

Easy way to get into Podcasting, but at a small catch.

I loved it when I had my first podcast. I never had any audio quality issues, but the price was the biggest factor for me.

I loved that setting up my podcast and distributing was SUPER easy. Was fast and shortly I was setup with Apple Podcasts, Google Play and RSS feeds super quickly

Cons:

The price for the amount of time you can upload. The free option is great if you just getting into Podcasting however for the amount of time you can upload for the price it feels very limiting.

Great Option for Beginners!

For what we were using the service for there was really "No Cons" per se. The services are very straight forward. If you're a beginning podcaster that is looking for an affordable option and you merely want to upload your content and get folks listening to it - this is the right option for you.

Great Product and Support

My experience at this point has been great. The software works great and I am getting value from the content which Buzzsprout is creating to go along with the software. We were able to get our podcast live and listed within 24 hours!

Easy to use and has a nice layout to its home page. Also they allow a free version that others do not.

Cons:

Price is higher than others. Wish their pricing was more competitive compared to Lbsyn and podbean. Other wise it's a great site and my friends use it.
