About ManageWP

ManageWP is a website management solution that helps businesses manage WordPress websites via bulk updates, automated backups and performance analysis. It enables employees to automate recurring tasks and monitor multiple websites via a centralized dashboard.

The application lets managers generate client reports, track keywords, conduct search engine optimization (SEO) activities and monitor visitors’ behaviour. Features of ManageWP include white-labelling, collaboration, template management, two-factor authentication, analytics and more. Additionally, it allows administrators to verify website plugins against vulnerabilities and streamline uptime monitoring operations.

ManageWP facilitates integration with Google Analytics, which enables managers to gain visibility into sessions, returning visitors and bounce rate. The platform is available to users for free and includes additional add-ons on monthly subscriptions. Support is extended via phone, email, documentation and other online measures.

    Pros:
WP websites can get high maintenance especially when your old customers start to modify settings, or when their new intern is a marketing enthusiast. And the best part is that you just pay for what you use. Highly recommend it.
    Cons:
The uptime notification even for one site is a part of paid plans.

    Reasons for choosing ManageWP

I asked a couple of people who were using it, and they all agreed that it's a "set it and forget it" service.

    Pros:
I really like the new feature that allows for enabling and disabling of auto-updates for specific plugins.
    Cons:
None. I used to have issue with auto-updates but it has since been resolved by the addition of a feature to choose which plugins to include in auto-updates.

    Reasons for choosing ManageWP

It has the most streamlined interface with relevant features at a better price.

    Reasons for switching to ManageWP

Less fluff more stuff. Jetpack had too many little unwanted features and a bunch of individual 'pro' extensions adding up to tons more money and monthly billing.

ManageWP has Lost the Plot — Clients Looking for Friendlier Services

    1

Overall, it was great until they were purchased by GoDaddy. That's almost as bad as being purchased by MicroSoft! It's the kiss of death, because you are no longer in relationship with human beings, but a massive system in which your concerns are no longer necessary — and your years of support count for nothing. It's time to find a smaller, hungrier company that cares about its customers — for instance, MalCare. Now, there's a business that cares about its customers! After 10+ years of loyalty, if we need a few weeks to square up with them, they are happy to comply, because they realize that running a small agency can be a precarious undertaking. There will be months when you struggle to make a profit, and in the end, their loyalty & customer service pay off for them.

    Pros:
We loved the first 9 years of using ManageWP, before they were purchased by GoDaddy.com, and before they lost the personal, human touch they were known for previously. They weren't perfect, but they did their best, and we felt valued as customers.
    Cons:
Once they were purchased by GoDaddy, the level of performance noticeably dropped even as their behavior became less forgiving and more dismissive. For instance — a few days late on payments? All of your account services will be individually disabled, requiring hours of setup time to re-enable. For a small agency, this is unforgivable — we don't always have time to read our emails, and after 12+ years of loyalty, it's sad to realize that not only is our business not important to them, they'd be happy to see us fail if it means a few more pennies. Whatever happened to customer appreciation? What about 10 years of supporting their business faithfully? Sorry pal.... it's the rules. It's a big club and you ain't in it. Better luck next time!

    Pros:
An incredibly stable service to easily monitor and maintain Wordpress sites. Updates and backups are easily managed and I can easily roll back an update that went wrong. Incredibly affordable and many basic features are free. Been using them for almost a decade and they just keep getting better. The support is amazing, thumbs up!
    Cons:
The reporting system would need an overhaul. Difficult to make attractive to the end customer and takes a long time to modify.

    Reasons for switching to ManageWP

Better overview with Managewp. Don't have to dedicate a website for the administration. Managewp have better backup and security services.

    Pros:
The pricing structure is awesome - you only pay for what you need and not for extras you don't need. There's a ton you can automate - set and forget. There's SO MUCH you can do - all from one place - more than just update plugins. The "Clone this Site" is my favorite - when All-in-One WP whatever fails/timeout - when Siteground's Migrator times out - ManageWP's Clone feature ALWAYS works.
    Cons:
really my only complain is the notification when a site gets disconnected from ManageWP, or when it returns a 500 instead of 200. I NEED to know this info ASAP.

    Reasons for choosing ManageWP

There's really nothing else like it. Esp not with the options to leave some sites on basic/free stuff and have other sites suped up with all the bells & whistles.

Must Have Tool if You Manage Multiple Websites

    5

Without manage wp, I'd have to spend hours logging into each website individually every week to update themes, plugins, and to monitor the security and health of the website. ManageWP means that process takes minutes. I can also moderate comments on multiple sites and so much more. It's an essential tool.

    Pros:
ManageWP makes it easy for me to oversee updates, performance, security, backup, and management for over a dozen websites. I love that I can get paid features on an ala carte basis for my business and client websites as well as oversee personal blogs and other less critical websites and only pay for the features I need on the websites I need them for.
    Cons:
While it's great to have a 20k foot view of all the websites I manage, in some cases, a wide-angle view isn't the best. For example, the master traffic/analytics view shows all sites combined and there's no ability to filter out particular sites or group them. If I managed a group of websites for one particular company, it is nice to see if traffic is trending up or down overall. However, if I'm also managing unrelated client sites, that statistic is useless.
