My company is an IT provider for several small and medium sized businesses. We have a separate commercial RMM tool to monitor up and downtime for client sites and servers, but honestly, we also happily subscribe to UptimeRobot for down and up alerts. Being proactive for our clients is priceless and we have been happy UptimeRobot clients for YEARS! Their emails are so simple to read and reliable (especially when it's 0300 and we get a server down alert). It's great to have this as a tool for our business so we can deliver the best service for our clients. Highly recommended!

Cons:

No cons, really. Takes a tech savvy person to configure Windows server down and server up alerts, but reliable when it is done and tested. Would rather it this way vs running a software on servers, so since we create the scripting, we know what it's doing.

Pros:

I love how setting up new monitors is a piece of cake. You just plug in your website URL, and boom, you’re good to go. The interface is super straightforward, even for a non-tech wizard. Our charity website along with its sister websites have been using uptimerobot for years and the alerts have always been spot-on. They are providing a great and very necessary service

Cons:

I really don't have anything negative to say about them. They provide the exact service I am looking for at an incredibly low price

Uptimerobot – does what it says on the tin!

The overall experience has been positive. While there are competitors out there, we’ve not considered using any as Uptimerobot does what we need it to do – provide insight into the uptime of our site.

Pros:

The ease of setting up a basic monitor. It was pretty easy and suited our purposes for a small but growing site.

Cons:

From time to time we may get timeout notifications. When these are momentary and you’re on the basic (free) 5 minute cycle, it’s a bit difficult to troubleshoot . We’re in the process of upgrading our package and should get a lot more granularity.
