Overall great experience

5

Overall, my experience with ClassPoint is great: it has so many features I appreciate and I often use on my presentations: the digital annotation (with the whiteboards), the slide broadcasting and, my favorite, the interactive quizzes that are so much fun! I think this should be a software every PowerPoint user should use on their own presentations. Besides being fun and engaging, it also helps a lot on the making of the presentations theirself.

Pros:
What I most like about ClassPoint is the possibility to make interactive quizzes with my class. It is both engaging and pedagogic, which also contributes to a higher interest of my audience. I also like the wordcloud feature where my audience can suggest words related to my question.
Cons:
Even though ClassPoint is a great piece of software to use with Microsoft PowerPoint, I think it could be a little more intuitive in its layout on the PowerPoint add-ons. It's not difficult to reach the features I want, but I would like to see more suggestions and tips on the menu to help me with my presentation.

Vendor Response

Rafael, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a wonderful review. We appreciate hearing our user's feedback and suggestions for future features. As we are upgrading ClassPoint we will take your ideas into consideration.

ClassPoint - Making Interactive Online Education a Breeze

5

Overall, I really enjoy using ClassPoint! It's an easy method to engage learners online without interrupting the flow of my educational session. And it's free! Thank you so much for the service.

Pros:
I like the ease of use! I don't have to click out of my slidedeck or into another platform or website to take polls, ask short answer questions, and get all the benefits of interaction in the online teaching space. It makes it so much easier and fun to ask students to engage online quickly and creatively, while avoiding the dreaded "silence" in an online session and prompting thoughtful discussion.
Cons:
There are two things I would like to see improved with ClassPoint. First, I want to see increased seamlessness between showing the slidedeck through Teams or Zoom with their incorporated presentation app from PowerPoint. ClassPoint doesn't seem to work well with those two apps, as opposed to the basic share screen function. The other thing that could be improved is to make it so that you can create a class code ahead of time for your session. I use the QR code pretty seemlessly, but for adult learners, some of them like to use the web browser version and enter the code, so if I could have that planned and ready to share from my slidedeck, it would be much better for those users.

Vendor Response

Thank you for the review, Stacy! To get a class code before your session, you can use our Saved Classes - this way you have a code ready to use for each class. Reach out to our support team at support@inknoe.com to learn more!

Pros:
The ease of Classpoint use makes it a very attractive apps to consider in the midst of many apps available. The ease to test the knowledge of the students with a simple quiz is enough for me to consider it for us in my classroom.
Cons:
Classpoint created lag in my powerpoint and remote laser pointer functionality. I believe it can be resolved readily.

Vendor Response

Hi David! Thanks for taking the time to review ClassPoint. ClassPoint should not create lag in your PowerPoint, so please get in touch with us at support@inknoe.com so we can help you solve this issue!

Pros:
I love that I can make my powerpoints interactive for me but even more that I can get the children involved on their tablets and I get their instant feedback- All the notes that are usually lost on whiteboards are saved and I can go back to it. Invaluable.
Cons:
I'd love the children to be able to 'drag' objects on their ipads and then submit those.

Vendor Response

Happy to hear you and your students are enjoying ClassPoint John!

As stated above, Classpoint is a game changer for me and my students. I have a presentation coming up to around 70 parents/ carers. I am going to use it to get their feedback

Pros:
This is a totally interactive teaching tool for presentations. It enables even the least confident student to take part and I can choose whether the responses are shown with names or without, depending on the question posed. I use Classpoint for virtually all presentations now and even the music is interesting as it enlivens the students
Cons:
I am still learning some of the less used applications but as I play with it, I am coming up with more and more ways to use it.

Vendor Response

Thank you for the review! We hope you continue enjoying ClassPoint in your classrooms.

A positive ClassPoint experience
