Microsoft Edge Review

Better to understand the differences between this and the actual Google app, where the search engine is. I can see there are basic use features on this interface but overall doesn't provide solid reliability.

Pros:
As with any internet app, the no restrictions on how many tabs are opened. I use this to be productive on the daily basis. One thing I love the most is that when or if the who screen closes out or has an update, it always provides me with options to restore the previous tabs...all of them, and it's amazing!
Cons:
Nothing out of the blue, honestly it is similar to google, but probably still does not provide the amount of security google might.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Edge

I did not want to - I switched laptops, and though this is the main OS on this Lenovo device, and I can always download the google app, but I've not because the integration and ease of use on this isn't bad at all. I just noticed I used Google app for everything, but am always up for trying something new, so it hasn't been all bad.

Best Broweser for smooth and crashfree expereince

My experience with Microsoft Edge has been great. It’s fast, smooth, and stable, even with many tabs open. However, the design could use improvements to match its great performance.

The design feels a bit outdated. While functional, it lacks a modern, user-friendly interface that could enhance the overall experience. More design polish is needed for a better look.

Best browser for business - don't be fooled by Chrome

Pros:
Edge is a fantastic browser - fast, stable, robust, customizable, not littered with ads like Chrome. Any organization using the 365 ecosystem should block all other browsers and just have employees use Edge, especially with all of the customizations and security controls available to IT.
Cons:
Just that it doesn't have the brand name recognition of Chrome, so employees think it's a downgrade. But it's not - also uses the chromium technology! With copilot integration it keeps improving. Learn and use it.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Edge

Works just as well without all the tracking and ad clutter.

Pros:
I like the amount of control you have with intune and group policy. It’s typically quick. It syncs data to even mobile devices.
Cons:
I don’t like the autofill suggestions always being there. Can’t figure out how to get rid of specific things like when there are typos or something I don’t want saved. This could be a security concern because passwords could be displayed unintentionally if a password was accidentally entered into a wrong field and cached.

Reasons for choosing Microsoft Edge

Amount of control and ease of control with Intune.

Pros:
Edge seemed to run quick and smooth. One of the most important things for a browser is running quick and smooth so the user has a nice experience.
Cons:
I need to explore the developer tools which would be similar to Chrome’s inspect features. In Chrome, Inspect features seem to be built in by default.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Edge

Add another browser option. Also always having multiple browsers working at once.
