About Amazon S3

Amazon S3 is a cloud storage platform that allows businesses to conduct data storage, backup, archiving and retrieval operations on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Developers and IT teams can utilize the service to create data buckets and attach metadata and object tags for storage and replication purposes.

Administrators can utilize multipart upload functionality to pause and resume object upload and copy a single object in parts during network issues. It provides a variety of features including versioning, access control management, data transfer, multi-factor authentication, data replication and high-volume data analysis.

Pros:

I like the Amazon S3 because it has ability to store my data at high level and being able to access it whenever i wanted and it very affordable in terms of pricing and also durable.

Cons:

I think of how it has fewer rules during creation of the buckets may sometime do a little harm or being tiresome process.

S3 is the gold standard for cloud object storage

It's a great product that's always available and is the gold standard for object storage in the cloud. I don't have any complains.

Pros:

It's simple, it works and it's cheap. Any time I need to store unorganised data my default is to put it in an S3 bucket. I love how it's the industry standard and any data analytics tools always have an s3 integration.

Cons:

I wish I could see a preview of objects stored in the buckets without having to download them

Amazon S3 is pretty straightforward in terms of setup. It can handle small amount of data to the massive amount of data. The integration with Amazon services makes it a core part of cloud architecture.

Cons:

The costing breakdown could be a bit tricky to manage and monitor. Since it's easily accessibility can make it prone to the dodgy public access of data leak.

Pros:

My preferred option for storing unstructured data is Amazon S3. It is easy to use, dependable, and reasonably priced. It is the ideal option for simple data management because it is the industry standard and connects easily with the majority of data analytics tools.

Cons:

So far, Amazon has not caused me any problems. I'm very happy with its reliability and performance, and everything has gone smoothly.

efficient cloud storage service with seamless support to API integration.

It is a good cloud storage service, which any organization can leverage keeping in mind of the costing. Our compliance and Audit is taken care by storing all the necessary and raw data.

Pros:

It is one of the most cost effective cloud storage service. Best for industrial use we store our 3rd party application logs. The same logs are fetched and retrieved using API for querying. The service can be well integrated with 3rd party applications by defining the adequate scope of API.

Cons:

The cost forecast for the service is not accurate. There is room for improvement. The over head charges sometimes feel beefed up. There is also sync delay sometimes.

Great for media storage and very well priced.

Overall a really good experience. We offload media from WordPress /wp-content and store it in S3 for delivery via Cloudfront. It works as a great CDN system, is much cheaper to maintain and the API works amazingly.

enable soft delete feature is wonderful as a security feature. This provide an extra layer of security.

Pros:

It is very simple to use, and integrate with from within java code.

Cons:

searching for and downloading files from s3 involves a lot of clicking on the UI, and files are hard to find if you have a lot of data. The UI is a bit clunky.
