Uptime on equipment has improved, we are able to track the work and expense on our assets better to make more informed decisions on whether to upgrade or replace certain items. When I went to analyze the business needs and searched for a vendor to partner with to help with our maintenance tracking needs, Maintenance Connection was their from the beginning and still to this day help with any needs that we may need, our rep even just checks in to see how things are going and if we need anything. This kind of customer service is dwindling

Maintenance Connection was our first Facilities software and it was a step up from spreadsheets and emails, but for the pricepoint, it was hard to navigate and ultimately some of our staff gave up using it.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Maintenance Connection could house work orders and PMs that recurred. We did appreciate the asset creation and logging.

#### Cons

On the whole, the UI and UX of Maintenance Connection is difficult to navigate, overly complex. Pulling reports often displays vastly different numbers for the same data.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

We really like the many different options for metrics and tracking expenses as well as man-hours within the Maintenance Connection MRO.

#### Cons

Sometimes the user interface can get misconstrued with updates. Updates can end up breaking things before they fix the previous issue. When presented with updates via the road-map, the updates take an extreme amount of time to come to fruition.

#### Reasons for choosing Maintenance Connection

We liked the user interface and customizability the most. It seemed most tailored for our needs.

#### Reasons for switching to Maintenance Connection

### Built from the ground up as a CMMS, you can tell every details has been considered by folks who worked in the field.

- Overall rating: 5/5

I've used other CMMSs and MC is I think my 6th and it's the best out of all of them, it's highly functional, work orders carry so much more capability and are easy for technicians

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I like how functional it is and how a lot of various scenarios have been thought out in the field and solved in Maintenance Connection. I also like how easy it is to navigate around.

#### Cons

No cycle count function for inventory management. I notice filters sometimes don't work. I think the overall user interface is slightly outdated, however the UI design is relatively functional, there is really no "Bloat" or unnecessary graphics or colors when using MC.

#### Reasons for choosing Maintenance Connection

Easy of use, highly functional, cost per concurrent user, customization, requires no IT support to implement.

#### Reasons for switching to Maintenance Connection

Not functional enough, not user friendly, required our IT department to roll out to sites. Too complicated to perform any task or retrieve any information from.

#### Cons

There is really nothing I dislike about Maintenance Connection. If I have issues with the system in general, I would like to see better solutions with Accruent.

Maintenance Connection is easier to learn and to get the team involved. They also prefer Maintenance Connection.

Overall, my experience with Maintenance Connection has been positive. It provides a reliable system for managing work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset history, which supports better organization, accountability, and compliance. While there is a learning curve and some processes can feel time-consuming, the system is effective once users are familiar with it and helps improve visibility and consistency across maintenance operations.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Maintenance Connection provides a centralized platform for tracking work orders, preventive maintenance, and asset history, which helps improve organization and visibility across maintenance activities.

#### Cons

The system can feel cumbersome at times, particularly when entering or updating work orders, as it requires multiple steps and fields. Navigation is not always intuitive, which can slow down technicians in the field, and some features are not as user-friendly on mobile devices. Reporting and customization can also be limited without administrative support, making it harder to quickly tailor the system to specific site needs.

#### Reasons for choosing Maintenance Connection

Maintenance Connection was selected because it offered the best overall balance of functionality, asset management depth, and support for preventive maintenance and compliance requirements.

I've been a user and admin of MC for many years. I think it's a fairly reliable tool, but not as user friendly as it could be. There are bugs here and there I would like to see smoothed out but overall I think it's a good tool with room for improvement.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It's easy to navigate. I like the levels of error protection across the tool, making sure that erroneous actions are limited.

#### Cons

Difficult to mass manipulate work orders. There are times when large groups of work orders are needed to be assigned to a specific person on multiple specific dates, or work orders that multiple need to be issued. Right now there's no easy way to do mass edits, only one at a time in most cases. Better flexibility in that would help. I think it would be nice for export capabilities too, for multiple user access levels. If a user level could export a list of assets, or work orders into a .csv file, that would be a huge benefit for our business.

#### Reasons for choosing Maintenance Connection

Cost, MC is similar and was able to meet our needs

Overall i have been able to master it within my own scope and needs, helping others learn, and furthering my career because of it. I think it is a very robust and dynamic platform, i hope (when) AI gets incorporated, it is not a slop assistant or chat bot. i hope it is an actionable and actually helpful tool. it would be great if it could be used as a clean up tool, needle in a haystack finder, system simplifier (when it comes to Rules, UDFs, smart reports, etc.)

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The amount of features that it has and the fact that you can choose how in depth you want to use those features or not.

#### Cons

I wish there were more advanced tutorials or demos or walkthroughs or seminars. I think my situation may be different since we have a proprietary license (or something) but as a power user of maintenance connect, i wish we had advanced classes and those advanced capabilities were made available instead of restricted.

As a user of over 8 years I have become very familiar with the in's and out's of the daily operation. If a need arises that I am unfamiliar with customer service is always quick to respond with a solution and/or just solve the problem for us remotely. This in and of itself is why I chose to participate in the review. Accruent has really invested in customer service. It has always been good but even better over the last 1-2 years. Keep up the good work.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The simplicity of navigation... It is much easier than other CMMS platforms. This helps keep technician interaction to a minimum to focus on labor tasks at hand.

#### Cons

- Labor and user set-up... Needing to navigate to multiple levels of the software to assign appropriate authorizations. - Frequent updates requiring cache and browsing history deletion for the program to function correctly. - Global search function for inventory or asset information. I wish it was more one word search specific for results. It not being can make it difficult to find a result quickly

Overall, my experience so far has been positive, and I appreciate the platform’s training support and functional capabilities.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I have experience using several maintenance management software platforms, and from an end-user perspective, Maintenance Connection offers a robust set of features, particularly when it comes to training and onboarding. The available training resources make it easier for new users to get up and running efficiently. Although I have only been using the system for two weeks, I have already been able to configure new technicians, assign user access, set up new assets, and create work orders with confidence. The system is intuitive enough to allow new users to become productive quickly.

#### Cons

One area for potential improvement would be enhancing the ease of locating previously created work orders within the system. Additionally, the process for assigning work orders feels somewhat less streamlined compared to other platforms I have used. That said, as I continue to work within the system, I am becoming more comfortable with its workflow.

Overall I like MC over any of the other systems I have worked with. Being able to setup auto assignments, and send emails based on status changes of work orders, if setup correctly it is almost a hands off system.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

After using several different programs, MC is one of the easiest to learn. It also helps that the Academy is free and available at any time.

#### Cons

Setting up a new user, is a little harder than I think it needs to be. The site admin should be able to setup someone without having to go through the login screen.

Going on year 6 now and overall happy with the program. It has helped eliminate down time in the production area and helped with organizing things during out audits.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The interface is helpful and easy to understand. We use it primarily for maintenance management and it makes creating PM's and WO's very easy to track and revert back to in times of need, such as an audit.

#### Cons

The cost of the program is a little on the expensive side but if you were to use it to its fullest potential, I think one can justify it. Customer support is great when you can get in touch but that is not the easiest thing to do for some reason.

My experience with this program has been exceptionally smooth from day one. It functions exactly as a maintenance tool should—working quietly in the background to support our goals without creating unnecessary obstacles or administrative "red tape." The simplicity of the layout means we can focus entirely on equipment reliability rather than fighting with a clunky interface. It has truly streamlined our workflow and made our PM reviews a seamless part of the work week.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

his program is remarkably intuitive, stripping away the usual complexity found in maintenance scheduling. The user-friendly interface and logical navigation allow our team to update PM tasks in seconds rather than hours. It strikes the perfect balance between robust data tracking and a clean, clutter-free layout that even our least tech-savvy technicians can master.

#### Cons

How only a certain amount of people can be on the system at the same time, i believe for us is 2 or 3.

Overall my experience is good with maintenance connection. it seems like there is an abundance of information available.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like that you can enter a lot of data for an asset. i feel that there are a lot of fields from location to cost and PM management.

#### Cons

I wish that there was more of a profile for a specific user. For example, if I were to log into maintenance connection i would like to see a real quick and simple dashboard of my to-do's, like open correctives and open PM's.
