Plumsail Documents has been an essential part of a high-volume document automation solution we built using Power Automate and Azure AI. We extract and process large sets of multi-page PDFs, analyze each page with AI, and use Plumsail to assemble structured Word documents; each section on its own page. The connector is fast, reliable, and incredibly flexible. It has significantly streamlined our workflow and improved document consistency across the board. Highly recommended!

We chose Plumsail Documents because it offered a more seamless and flexible integration with Microsoft Power Platform than other solutions. Its native support for DOCX templates, ability to generate structured Word and PDF documents with dynamic content, and the ease of configuring flows in Power Automate made it the best fit for our use case. Mostly positive. In response to a suggested delivery option I was advised to implement more complex processes and coding with PowerAutomate. I realize not every feature suggestion will be considered or implemented. Please remember that your customers want a low/no code, turnkey solution for their use case.

I certainly use the Plumsail Documents service as part of the whole Plumsail ecosystem together with Plumsail Forms and HelpDesk. I am looking at the OrgChart service. The ease of use of Plumsail Documents service and functionality allows you to quickly automate business processes in your company and no longer think about the basic principles of automation. It is incredibly convenient!

A Powerful Tool with Great Features, But Room for Improvement

Overall, my experience with Plumsail Documents has been largely positive. The platform is user-friendly, with fast and easy template creation, seamless integration with Microsoft systems, and helpful documentation. I especially appreciate the flexible delivery options and reasonable pricing. However, the document editor can be a bit challenging to use for longer documents, and the limitations in testing the Power Automate process without a paid plan can be frustrating. Despite these drawbacks, Plumsail Documents remains a powerful tool that adds significant value to my workflow.

As for testing: if your document generation process is in testing mode, you won’t be charged for the Start document generation action in Power Automate. Integrated with Azure Logic Apps for invoice processing. Process takes binary PDF data and consolidates documents into a single PDF to send to the customer. Most of the solutions found in Logic Apps wouldn't accept an array input, which we needed in our process. Adobe has a solution (which I used), but to deal with them wasn't an easy subscription-based signup process. They don't publish pricing and it would have invovled a meeting with a sales rep. Trial ran out (which wasn't much), and I tested several alternatives before finding Plumsail.
