Pros:

We have found Shortpoint incredibly easy to install and manage our employee intranet. Our brand is able to be consistent and professional, staff are able to easily find the content they need. Communication has become easier and felt less siloed. Shortpoint also has INCREDIBLE support. I know if I have an issue, they're going to be responsive and get to the bottom of it.

Cons:

Some of the more recent updates have broken other components and so we've had to stay at a previous version for awhile while they try to solve the issue.

I've had a great experience with ShortPoint. If I've ever run into any issues, the technical team is always there to assist and they are very good at troubleshooting issues and helping you to move forward as quickly and sufficiently as possible.

The custom ability of templates and features are fantastic! I utilize this feature more than any other and that alone is worth the price!

Cons:

Some of the connections to SharePoint sites can be difficult to setup. Once setup, some of the information being pulled can be painful if you're just guessing what information needs to be pulled from specific document libraries or lists.

The fastest way to create your company's intranet!

I had a great experience with ShortPoint! After using the product for a while, it was super easy to keep going and all new sites are easier and easier to make!

What I love about ShortPoint is the number of templates available and the capability to copy and paste the designs. This made the process of creating the intranet A LOT faster and easier!!! 10 out of 10!!

Cons:

Some of the design items I was looking for were not out of the box, however, the team was able to find a way to work around and still bring my vision to life!

Why you should use ShortPoint

Although early in the process, we have found the product fairly easy to use after some initial knowledge base search and learn sessions.

After an initial introduction to ShortPoint, you quickly find there are many more tools than meets the eye to not only design but also to make your SharePoint environment welcoming for your end users.

Cons:

Although not a knock on ShortPoint, we definitely would like to see more designs within the Theme Builder. A second item has to do with Forms, instead of using Microsoft Forms we would definitely like to see more customization ability to integrate ShortPoint with the overall SharePoint experience by creating Forms and Approvals.

Reasons for switching to ShortPoint

Claromentis required an onsite deployment, whereas ShortPoint is in the cloud and reduced our overall infrastructure overhead.

ShortPoint does a great job making an adaptable solution! They offer great support when you need it (incredibly responsive) and their collection of pre-built (useable) elements is awesome! It takes a lot of time out of the build process if you have the chance to leverage those elements!

Cons:

The new modern builder is still relatively new (so there's a learning curve) and it's a bit delayed in responsiveness, but very manageable.

Simplified SharePoint site designs with ShortPoint.

Through simplified creation of SharePoint portals, sites and dashboards, ShortPoint have allowed for my team to continually engage staff. Dynamic tools, a large library of demos and templates allows for us to create captivating portals. The technical and sales team have also been quite helpful, sometimes going beyond the call if i may add, as they assisted in the creation of an initial dashboard, which lead my team to educating themselves even more about REST api and other methods of pulling data.

1. Ease of implementation - Adding ShortPoint to our farm was relatively easy, taking approximately 10 minutes to install and be ready to go. 2. Upon installation, my team was able to hit the ground running; designing gorgeous user friendly interfaces for various team sites with minimal SharePoint experience. 3. The Demo site is of great assistance, giving inspiration to the possibilities, along with easy of reuse of their templates. 4. The support team at ShortPoint is great! through their assistance, we were able to create dashboards and undertake a couple of integrations. They are prompt to respond, easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Cons:

The platform seems to perform better in particular browsers. As a result, a lot of my team would be mindful of which browser they're using when accessing sharepoint related content.

ShortPoint allowed us to bypass many of SharePoint's design limitations and allowed us to create a beautiful site with a simple, easy-to-use interface. We loved its ability to transform SharePoint to be fully responsive allowing our users to view from any size browser window. We also loved all of the page layout options with sections, rows, and columns. The software was easy to learn and use and we were able to design an entire site in a very short time period. Our ShortPoint rep was very easy to work with and responsive to all of our questions. We are pleased with the product.

Cons:

ShortPoint helped us a lot with site theme and with page design. One thing that we wished it could accommodate better is bringing document library and list content types through to a page with full searching and filtering capabilities. As a workaround, we put SharePoint's document library web part into a ShortPoint panel. If ShortPoint could design something with similar functionality (searching & filtering on columns) to SharePoint's web part, it would be great!
