### Most mentioned pros

- I appreciated the flexibility it offered in structuring content, tracking learner progress, and integrating with other tools, which helped create a smooth learning experience. While there are areas that could benefit from more advanced customization and deeper analytics, I found Thinkific to be a strong, user-friendly solution that made online course delivery both accessible and effective.
- The options for designs using the templates are versatile enough to create a beautiful course layout with almost any of the templates.
- Thinkific makes both affordable for entrepreneurs and enjoyable for learners as their varied tools and baffling features range from website builder and email automation to e-book creator and webinar planner; it is a world where you can easily start selling your experience, mainly due to the marketing and affiliate tools too.

### Most mentioned cons

- One issue we had with the platform was the fact that our e-Learnings needed to be uploaded as multimedia files to meet a similar structure to how we used to manage our courses in our old system.
- There's something about these platforms when they grow to a certain size, the personalized support gets lost to a corporate machine model that has no ability to focus on individual requests.
- It's just my thing I guess but I really don't like that part of courses are called chapters and lessons are part of chapters could be confusing

A great experience overall as it is one of the simplest course builder platforms that has so many options for customizability yet is easy to navigate. I also love the changes and improvements with management course monetary success overall and over a period of time.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Still a go-to course builder that remains one of the best offering an even simpler interface for designing courses with recent updates as well as more opportunities for creating an immersive and communicative experience for everyone participating in a course. Mobile updates have also allowed for greater efficiency as so many more users are utilizing mobile phones more now so these have been critical changes that have kept it in the top tier for course builders.

#### Cons

The interface has greatly improved so now I would say just continuing to add more advanced features and functions that are easy to select are next areas of improvements I would like to see.

### Updated our old LMS to Thinkific

Our company was looking for a new LMS to manage our enablement offerings and Thinkific ended up being the best fit for us! We needed a platform that could easily manage both on-demand and live courses, and the course builder in Thinkific gave us the felxibility that we needed to scale. The customer success team was super helpful with helping us get up to speed and launched within a couple of months.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What stood out the most to us with Thinkific is the ease of use for the user and our admin team. We liked how we could easily rebuild our courses, but now have more flexibility when building new courses. We have found the building process to be easy with our current systems and editing old courses is rather smooth. We also liked the ability to move our old Slack Groups into a Community Group so we help encourage more conversations amongst our members.

#### Cons

One issue we had with the platform was the fact that our e-Learnings needed to be uploaded as multimedia files to meet a similar structure to how we used to manage our courses in our old system. Luckily we were able to work with the Thinkific team to use some custom code to ensure that students will navigate through the content properly. A small extra step is needed when we add in these materials, so that was a slight downside, but we are able to build that into our workflow.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Thinkific allowed us access to more flexibility with courses that have live sessions and integrations with our other membership management platforms.

#### Reasons for switching to Thinkific

We needed a platform that could better handle on-demand courses and self-paced materials. We needed to also reduce the administration burden of enrolling new students in courses.

Its a good software with friendly support, but if you're a small business launching its first course there are better value products in the market.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Interface is modern and is easy to navigate. Easy to remove and add content. No lagging with video and other features which provide an excellent end user experience. Is a proven learning system used by millions globally. It is easy to move away from Thinkific.

#### Cons

Have to use a lot of 3rd party vendors due to product limitations. So you can not add a blog page, have to use Thinkifics recommended providers, they are very expensive. Recently Thinkific announced Stripe and other payment terminals can not be used, again you have you their providers. Setting up meta tags for social media marketing was easy, and support couldnt help. So I had pay someone to sort this out. They need more custom options building website, currently too basic.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Price and end user experience

### Typical Corporate Money Machine With Zero Customer Service Focus Long Term.

I've had several similar experiences with companies like Thinkific. There's something about these platforms when they grow to a certain size, the personalized support gets lost to a corporate machine model that has no ability to focus on individual requests. They're one primary focus is MONEY. And yes, it's all about commerce at the end of the day. But if they don't deal with the end user as a human they have no place being in business. They deserve to be penalized for being an over priced money machine.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Customer support was great when I first began using Thinkific. Although there is no free account option publicly, I asked if they had a free plan and they set me up with one so I could test the features indefinitely because sites like this can take a while to learn. This was great! I had time to relax and tweak until I couldn't tweak any more!

#### Cons

It's virtually impossible to cancel a subscription! I tried closing my account by contacting support multiple times and they just don't get it! I disconnected my domain before closing the account leading me to not be able to access my account. I have contacted them several times and they just don't get it! I'm sorry - thinkific support has this coming - collectively they are dumb as tree stumps! Actually trees have more consciousness than Thinkific support. They deserved that... Maybe you'll listen more in the future! Next will be BBB.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

I didn't. I chose Payhip over Thinkific. Payhip is BETTER than Thinkific.

I used Thinkific to develop an online course and found it easy to organize the content and build the course progressively. Overall, it made the course development process manageable without requiring extensive technical knowledge.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Thinkific provides a well-structured environment for building an online course. Adding lessons, organizing course content, and arranging material into sections is straightforward. I also found it useful for seeing how the course would look from a learner's perspective while developing it.

#### Cons

Getting the course layout and appearance exactly the way you want can take some experimentation. Certain customization options are also less flexible than I initially expected.

I am quite pleased with the many updates to the site since I started in November 2022. It has a cleaner interface not cluttered with overwhelm.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The thing I like most about Thinkific is the overall simplicity of creating your course. The help files' ability to walk me through every one of my problems or mistakes without needing to speak with a person is a real timesaver! The options for designs using the templates are versatile enough to create a beautiful course layout with almost any of the templates. Most of all—it is a good value for the cost.

#### Cons

I would like to see a better option on how the multiple courses are listed. A simple drag and drop image.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Cleaner application and a better value for the cost.

#### Reasons for switching to Thinkific

Mastermind oversold what their product could do and under-delivered on what it actually was able to do. Their philosophy of giving you "everything" was so overwhelming and crowded

#### Pros

User-friendly interface. Online help almost always is able to answer any "how to" question that I have. Customer service is responsive.

#### Cons

Some functions are limiting - like the ability to delete drafts of webinars and communities. Doesn't make sense why they can't be deleted, as draft courses can be deleted.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Thinkific was more user friendly. Customer service is better.

Very positive. The next step for us to get our head around how to use the marketing tools, which were never part of our last platform. The payment and seamless link to our website has also been revolutionary for us.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It is incredibly easy to use. As a trainer with limited tech experience I have found it intuitive to use. I was previously with another e-learning platform and lost countless hours trying to work out how to get things to work.

#### Cons

The dark mode needed some tweaking to ensure the course was fully in dark mode. However, with the help of ChatGPT I was able to get some html code to fix the issue.

#### Reasons for switching to Thinkific

It was very difficult to set-up and then when it came to trying to integrate it into our website and payment options it relied on a lot of plugins that visually looked naff.

’ve been using Thinkific to host a professional training program for the financial certification industry. The experience has been smooth and rewarding. The platform’s structure helps maintain a high-quality learning flow, and the flexibility to integrate videos, quizzes, and marketing elements makes it suitable for both institutional and individual learners. Overall, it’s a strong, dependable platform that continues to evolve with user feedback.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Thinkific delivers exceptional value for training providers. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and visually clean — ideal for building structured, professional courses. Their customer support team is one of the best I’ve experienced: fast, friendly, and genuinely proactive in solving issues. Uploading, organizing, and managing content feels seamless once you get used to the flow.

#### Cons

Some AI-powered enhancements could make course creation faster, especially when migrating or duplicating content across courses. The new AI landing page builder is visually nice but still limited in customization compared to the classic editor. A few automation options (like quiz imports or batch updates) would be great additions for power users.

### Beautiful Course Platform for Online Education

A stunning product which I would have been happy to use (even with all the workarounds for certificates, email and quizzes). The support is quick with responses and the tutorials provided really are next-level amazing. A consistent and impressive LMS.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

This is an absolutely beautiful platform. Thinkific has been in the elearning industry for years and it shows - the portal is easy to navigate and set up courses. The tutorials section is robust and detailed, giving step-by-step information on how to set up various course features and troubleshoot any issues that may come up. There is the ability to issue certificates of completion, add an assignment section for students to upload their work, basic quiz functionality, drip-scheduling as well as compulsory lessons which need to be completed before the student can move on. The lessons can consist of videos, text, PDF's (which can be downloadable or not), or quizzes. You can embed videos and links from other sites too. The course analytics allow you to see how much of a course/lesson was completed before a student drops off, giving valuable insight which enables the course creator to edit and adapt the courses to make them more engaging for the students. There is also a 'community' feature which gives students the chance to chat and give/feedback away from an external site (like a Facebook group). Thinkific does not take any of the course fees and allows the course creator to keep 100% of the profits earned. There is also a free version which has a lot of features included.

#### Cons

The certificates are quite basic and it's necessary to be design-savvy and tech-savvy to create a certificate which would be accepted in the upload process. The quizzes are very basic and do not support time-limits, limited retries or anything more robust than true/false or multiple choice. Should you want to integrate with a more robust quiz software, their native integrative party is quite pricey! There is no built-in email functionality aside from the notifications that can be sent to existing students. As email is becoming more popular among other learning management systems this is quite a big negative point against them. The option to whitelabel the site completely is only available on the 'Growth' plan which over and above the 'Pro' plan which is already $99.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Value for money and number of features offered. It's an established product with years of market research and expertise.

#### Reasons for switching to Thinkific

Option to do upsells and order bumps with Thinkific. Option for assignment uploads for students. All-round more robust LMS.

### Launched my first course!

Overall I'm super happy with my experience. I've spent the last few months editing my course based on feedback from the beta and am almost done setting up my first official launch. Excited to keep growing here!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I spent last year writing my first professional training course and was looking for a platform to use for the beta run. I wanted something that could handle the multi-media aspect of the delivery of my course, but that was also easy to set up for a non-techy beginner as I didn't have an assistant to set it up for me. Thinkific fit this need perfectly.

#### Cons

If anything the aesthetic of the platform could be a bit better (personal preference). While it is easy to follow it's just not as sleek as I'd like. And as a non-web-designer, I'd like to be able to customize the course landing pages to fit my brand with a bit more DIY ease.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Drag and drop course set up was super easy and had all the features I needed in the basic option.

My overall experience was great with Thinkific and our students loved using the platform. The Admin side was pretty easy to navigate but I just wanted a bit more when it came to the design features.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I liked the ease of Thinkific the most. It was super easy to upload videos, add files, write course curriculum and design a landing page for the course.

#### Cons

What I like least is the ability to make the sales page exactly how you want it... Thinkific (at the time when I used it) had a very limited design feature, so I was very restricted with the way everything looked. I also felt the pricing was bit high for what you get...these days there are all-in-one solution platforms that offers everything that Thinkific offers for much less than the monthly cost.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

I was given a 6-month free trial and so I got lucky at the time!

#### Pros

I love the customer support and training. I was able to launch my program in two hours with no assistance. The Quick Start program is an amazing example of what we should all aspire to in our online training videos. The software is easy to navigate and has some beautiful templates to help jumpstart user progress.

#### Cons

I was a little limited with the amount and layout of content on the course sales pages. Wish options here were more flexible. Also, the reporting at my subscription level is a little time-consuming requiring exports to Excel to confirm actual totals each time. It's easy enough to work around, however, and I have found customer support to be exceptional at helping me with some of my more creative workarounds.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Capabilities, particular strengths in online learning management, ease of use, price, customer support

Absolutely terrible. They bait and switched me to take my initial month's fee. Let me launch my course, then deactivated my course without warning. Had to really look bad in front of my students and wasted a bunch of time and money. DO NOT USE!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5

#### Pros

My experience getting onboarded onto the product looked great and was easy. I am getting ready to sell a digital course and Thinkific checked all the boxes. Setting up a course and landing page was simple enough on the free trial. Eventually, I upgraded to the paid version so that I could offer coupon codes as well.

#### Cons

I had everything ready to go on my course. All my content was uploaded and the landing page was set. I got ready to offer pre-sales for my course to gauge interest and check my pricing (which is a standard practice in the course world). I sent an email to my mailing list with the link to the course landing page and things started off well. A few people started to pre-order then... after an hour it just stopped. I started getting emails from people that the link to my course was broken. I tried to login into the site and I could not. Trying to recover my password didn't work. It was as if my site had been deleted with no notice. I tried to chat with support, but was directed to an AI bot that was useless and even though I was a paying customer, the phone support refused to help me because I could not login to my account. I had to send an email to someone which took several days to respond that apparently my account was suspended for "risk" whatever that means and that I would no longer be able to use the site. They could not explain what that meant and didn't seem to care.

Overall, I would say Thinkific is a great software to showcase your courses online. The affiliate feature and membership feature are the highlights of our company's objectives for this year. We are trying to slowly move all our recorded zoom videos to upload to Thinkific. We also hope using this software would ease our students learning as well as helping our company to grow by reaching out to more people.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Just as the title has mentioned, my company came towards this software because of a recommendation by our consultant. After much difficult times to look for a proper affiliate software, we decided to opt in for Thinkific as it doesn't just serve as an E-learning platform but also provides affiliation feature for enrolled students. So far, it can create unique link for each student as a referral and we are able to set up commission percentage for them. It has cut off a lot of manual work which we were previously doing. Thus, subscribing to a Pro plan in spite of the price, it is well-worth to consider for anyone looking for affiliate feature which is this simple.

#### Cons

The themes available are quite limited, and I do wish Thinkific would provide more samples of website for us to refer to since not everyone is good at designing. I only manage to find a few on Google which helped a little. Sizes of the images are only limited to JPG file which I didn't know why after a constant struggle of failures to upload a PNG image. Perhaps you could label JPG file instead of telling me the SIZE would be more helpful. Since my webinar courses are in Chinese and English, I do hope you would allow more choices of fonts instead. Also, as most of our students are Chinese, it would be helpful if other buttons such as "sign up" , "register" , "free preview" would have an option of languages. The Video file size is limited as well. It wasn't much of a bother as I know it is trying to promote shorter videos for better students' engagement. But the uploading can be quite slow and my speed is 160mbps. So, I doubt it's my problem??

Value for the money, attractive front end with little effort.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The way Thinkific presents content, from landing page to course completion page, is beautiful and appealing to the user. There are ample ways to connect with the user through various integrations if desired. It's also useful that you can customize the branding and even your own site theme if you have the available resources to do so! After switching from a sub-par LMS, our users are more engaged and more excited about signing in to consume our courses.

#### Cons

Reporting leaves much to be desired - best count on using Zapier to pull data into a 3rd party for analyzing user progress and completion rates. It's also frustrating that I have to wait for some reports to be emailed to me after requesting them. Perhaps the most frustrating part is that the front-end is designed using Liquid, which is difficult for a novice with basic CSS / HTML knowledge to navigate in order to make small text changes across the site.

#### Pros

I loved how versatile it was and their customer support was second to none. Also there was plenty of templates and training modules for absolute novices to set up their school easily. Integrations with other relevant apps and softwares made this very efficient LMS.

#### Cons

The price increases. I eventually couldn't continue as there was alternatives for better prices

My experience has been fantastic to be honest and I intend to continue using it further.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

It negates the need to spends thousands of dollars for a LMS website. You really don't need to be a software literate to build this and start using it on the go.

#### Cons

The users should be trained on how they can land their websites on Search Engines. Even a small fee will be justified, but training will help take this further. Also, more Payment Gateway options should be made available directly and not through Zapier.

#### Reasons for choosing Thinkific

Because the pricing worked for me and Thinkific has all the features one would need to publish their courses.

I have produced more than 200 online courses and used several platforms. Thinkific is my favorite. I have three schools there. It's easy to use, clean design, and the upgrades are customer-centered.

#### Cons

I don't like the new admin organization. It's text heavy and not intuitive. I prefer simple headers like courses, users, admin, etc.

It's just a great piece of software to deploy an online course without having to rely on a expensive developer (like myself.)

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I deploy Thinkific to my clients who need to an online course, but don't have the expertise or resources to recruit someone with technology skills. It's really easy with a short learning curve. If building a website with drag/drop tools is easy to you - this is even easier. Their support is fantastic! Their response time is quick, their team is helpful, and their reply is always clear and coherent. I've spoken to them as both a user, and a developer - and they were always willing to find a way to help me solve things.

#### Cons

For the scenario of building a training program - Thinkific is great - no issues. If I had to say something, like anything - the only thing I can think of is, as a developer - I wish I can build add-ons to extend Thinkific's features. I'm probably in the 1% who wants it, which shows how much Thinkific really thought things
