About CAKE

CAKE is a cloud-based affiliate marketing solution designed to help businesses in the performance marketing industry manage partner campaigns using custom targeting, whitelisting, reporting and data security tools. Key features include campaign management, lead generation, rewards distribution, partner marketing and contact management.

Advertising teams using CAKE can measure click and conversion rates based on custom targeting parameters such as traffic caps, redirects, devices, location and browsers to increase profit margins and maximize website traffic. Hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the solution allows publishers to generate reports on partner and campaign performance and facilitate decision making to optimize sales conversion rates. Additionally, users can receive notifications about abnormal campaign behaviors, ensuring compliance with Type 1 SOC 2 and GDPR regulations.

CAKE's API interface allows integration with various third-party applications such as QuickBooks, Ezepo, Payoneer, Optizmo, DialogTech and more. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via documentation, phone, email, FAQs and other online measures.

i like the set up for conversions from lead page to management but the most of this product is the webinars to show you how to use

it just for online they need offline to use in a business with street address as part of the management program

CAKE is the Cadillac of Tracking Software

Being the best platform in the industry doesn't always mean it is the easiest. But that can be said about any sophisticated SaaS platform. I think CAKE creates a good balance for inexperienced users to navigate and get things set up on a simplistic level. However, for those who are advanced users CAKE would not be complete without a killer support staff and client service team. These are the people that bring everything together and make for a great overall experience.

Pros:

CAKE is by far the most intuitive, customizable and reliable tracking system in the marketplace. The UI is clean and easy to navigate. The setup and deployment of new campaigns is simple. The reporting granularity is amazing. CAKE is simply an all-around amazing tracking platform. There is not another system in the marketplace that comes close.

Cons:

There are a few quirky things here and there, but nothing that disrupts our core business. Reporting visualization needs an upgrade.

Reasons for choosing CAKE

All of the other players in the market are good at one thing, marketing. But don't get caught up in the shiny interfaces and low-ball pricing. One look under the hood and each of these platforms come up short to the overall functionality that CAKE provides. At the end of the day, a platform should cater to the specific requirements the client has. So from my perspective, I chose CAKE because I wanted the most capable and feature-rich system supporting my business.

A Costly Disconnect: Our Frustrating Experience with CAKE Affiliate Software

Our experience with CAKE has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the outset, the platform promised to streamline our affiliate marketing efforts, but it ended up causing significant financial damage and immense frustration. The most glaring issue was the astonishing disconnect between their business and IT departments, leading to miscommunication and unfulfilled promises. While CAKE did eventually refund our payment, it barely scratched the surface of the financial loss and wasted time we endured.

In our experience with CAKE Affiliate Software, there wasn't much to celebrate in terms of positive aspects. The refund they provided in response to the exorbitant and unexpected bill was the only silver lining in an otherwise frustrating and costly ordeal. Unfortunately, the disconnect between CAKE's business and IT departments and the subsequent issues we encountered overshadowed any potential benefits the platform may have offered. While we appreciate the refund, it remains a small consolation in the face of the substantial financial damage and wasted time we endured during our association with CAKE.

Our experience with CAKE Affiliate Software left us deeply dissatisfied. Months of dedication and effort went into setting up their platform for our affiliate marketing program, only to culminate in a shockingly high five-figure bill that completely blindsided us. The most glaring issue that emerged during our tenure with CAKE was the alarming disconnect between their business and IT departments. It seemed as though these two vital components of their company were working in separate universes. This misalignment resulted in a litany of problems that ultimately culminated in a disastrous financial outcome for our organization.

Reasons for choosing CAKE

We initially opted for CAKE over Everflow due to CAKE's enticing promise of a highly customizable platform for our affiliate program. The prospect of tailoring the system to our specific needs and requirements seemed like the ideal solution. However, in the end, CAKE failed to deliver on these promises of customization and flexibility. This disconnect between expectation and reality left us deeply disappointed and disillusioned with CAKE's capabilities, ultimately leading to a significant financial setback and wasted time.

CAKE has some really great features, and allows us to work directly with affiliates without having to go through networks that take huge commissions .

Cons:

The design of the GUI could be a little nicer, but that's just nitpicking, and also depends on personal preference, I guess.

Ain't it Sweet?

I made the best decision to work with CAKE when starting my business. Tracking and learning any platform can be overwhelming at times just because there's always a lot going on. Without the support I've received from each team member at CAKE. I may not be where I'm at today.

The platform provides every tracking tool I need to track my leads.

Cons:

I don't like that I can't get someone on the phone over the weekend. If there's a tracking issue in this business you can quickly loose thousands of dollars in minutes. Submitting a ticket doesn't cut it when you need immediate help. Luckily, I have an AMAZING customer support manager who will go beyond the call of duty to help me if it's an urgent situation.

Reasons for choosing CAKE

I worked at CAKE and new the people who worked there. I've also used CAKE with other companies I've work with. I thought about going to PX due to price.

The design is really good and the platform has some excellent features. Integration with other platforms is so easy which is great.

Cons:

I wasn't a fan of the new layout that was rolled out. The app on my phone is also quite limited which is a shame.

Great Product + The Best Customer Support

We spend a lot more money with companies like Google/Facebook/Microsoft and don't get half the support that Cake gives us. Our account manager has always been there to help me and their ticket system has always been quick to resolve issues. Can't say enough good things about Cake support.

Ease of use. I don't have as much time as I'd like to dedicate to our affiliate program so Cake makes things a lot simpler and quicker for me. Our affiliate program used to be an in-house hacked together solution. Cake has saved us so much time.

I'm still learning some of the technical aspects to affiliate marketing and feel some of their knowledge base articles aren't simple enough.

Pros:

Cake presents very detailed data about what we are looking for. I am able to filter and see the data in whichever way I need. I like that you are able to see data by phone type, medium, media, etc. Being able to login to the affiliate's view is also helpful when troubleshooting issues. Cake's support team is also very helpful and is prompt at responding. They have helped me multiple times with issues and even scheduled phone calls to personally help.

Cons:

There is a slight learning curve with certain Cake processes. There are times when you need to do something in a particular step or save multiple times otherwise it will not work. I have learned to take the precautions and make sure everything is working.

I've been using the CAKE platform with prior companies for years, so I was ecstatic to be able to use it again. What I love most is the quick responses from all members of the Technical Support Team. If you have an issue or unsure about a feature, they don't miss a beat to guide you!

Cons:

I don't like the new navigation layout. I quickly switched back to the old.

Very easy to use and user friendly design. Customizable user roles and reporting capabilities are very helpful for controlling visibility across our company's different team members.

Cons:

The mobile app doesn't offer all the functions I'd like to see. The mobile web version also has some glitches that limit what you can do.
