About V-Ray

V-Ray is a rendering engine that provides photorealistic rendering and ray tracing capabilities. Amazing render engine

Overall I recommend it, it is very difficult to use at first, but when you get used to it gives very good results

Pros:

I liked that it is compatible with many programs, and it works perfectly on all the computers I have had, it has many tools and it is very customizable, which allows much more realistic and customizable renderings.

Cons:

It is not very intuitive, if it is the first rendering engine you use you will need to see tutorials for everything.

creates deep and high quality images and uses a very good amount of gpu even thoough it allows you to keep working on other things.

that its only software usable with it its 3ds max and not blender but its okay though

V-Ray Review

I would say overall, I was always very pleased with the end result. Thought it might have taken more time to produce a image, it was well worth the trade off. Now that there are so many other engines out there, V-Ray needs to look towards getting more end users by adopting a business model like D5 or Unreal Engine.

Pros:

The quality of the final rendering was second to none... however, when I used this program more frequently, the time it would take to generate one image was exponentially greater than other rendering software out there.... there are reasons for this like ray tracing, which does attribute to a higher quality image.

Cons:

The cost associated with this was much higher than other software out there. Also the learning curve was greater than some of the other more intuitive software I've used.

A must-have for realistic 3D renderings

With vray, I have the ability to create realistic renderings for clients all over the world. The quality and value that vray gives my renderings is unmatched.

Pros:

By far, the most impactful feature of V-Ray is ability to render in real-time as well as adjust any lighting, denoiser, etc. as the image in in process of rendering. This ability has saved me an exponential amount of hours testing and perfecting lighting.

Cons:

Vray can be tough to understand. I've watched countless tutorials over the last several years to understand how each feature affects the outcome. I have a recipe that works for what I need, but always learning and improving.

Quality of output render is the best. Any other render engine isn't even close to the V-Ray one.

Cons:

Very long time needed to make render properly. In compare with Lumion it takes ages to get finished render. But still, it looks so much better after all.
