About Ninox

Ninox is a cloud-based data entry solution used by small and midsize organizations. The solution helps in building database applications using features such as built-in templates, custom actions, scripting and drag and drop formulas. The database can be stored either on-premise or in the cloud.

Ninox also allows users to create custom forms and fields. The solution allows users to create data entry templates that can be used for customer relationship management, project management, property management, account management and timesheets. Other features of the solution include role-based access control and real-time data synchronization across devices. The solution also provides automated data backups.

Ninox offers multiple APIs for users to share table views, retrieve specific files, integrate barcode scanners or send automated emails. Data can be exported in Excel and CSV formats. A native iOS app is available. Pricing is per user per month. Support is available via phone and email.

    Ninox is incredibly reliable and is constantly evolving in a good direction.

    I implemented a phone plan generator that determined the best rate for a client, a remote telemarketing system, a system for an English academy that generates invoices for approximately 600 students in a single step, an advanced CRM system that allows me to fully track toll payment clients, and I'm currently developing a TMS-type tool for transportation companies that I intend to help clients specify things like cost per kilometer, monitor payment method usage, determine overall and per-service profitability, and other key aspects for the transportation sector. Ninox continues to evolve; it's a tool with fantastic performance and hasn't had a single issue since I first implemented a solution with it in 2011. I'm eager to explore the possibilities of Version 4.

    Ninox is a powerful database tool that I discovered around 2011 when I was looking for a database for Mac OS. I was surprised by how simple it was to implement my databases while simultaneously setting up the web view, the Mac OS app, and the mobile view for iPhone.
    Cons:
    I'd like an easy way to see the location of addresses on a map and graphically choose my next places to visit to better plan my trips. I think this would help many other Ninox users.

    Before Ninox I tried Microsoft Access (plus two or three extra programs) to stitch my workflow together. It never felt intuitive, and I couldn’t get everything into one database without outside help. Ninox replaced that patchwork with a single, flexible system I can actually maintain myself. The result: less time wrestling with tools, more time designing—and a clearer view of my studio’s operations, from project intake to invoicing. So, the Bottom line is, if you want a powerful database that feels approachable and looks clean, Ninox delivers. It’s the rare platform that lets non-developers build real business workflows without the usual headaches.

    Ninox is wonderfully intuitive and visual. I’m a graphic designer, not a database engineer, and I stumbled on Ninox by accident in 2021 and I haven’t looked back since. It let me build exactly what I need without hiring experts: a single workspace for my service offers, print materials, customers, freelancers, printers, plus a complete invoicing and accounting setup. The help desk has been consistently patient and genuinely helpful whenever I’ve had questions.
    Cons:
    Manual backups are locked to a higher tier. If you want that feature, you’ll need the plan that’s €22 + VAT per license/month (billed annually) instead of the starter at €11 + VAT per license/month (billed annually). It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it’s worth knowing up front.

    From the first time using Ninox I noticed how easy it was to setup a database without having any programing knowledge. The user interface is intuitive and easy to customize for my needs. I like that it has top notch security, Document management, intergraded email and best of all I get great value for my money.
    Cons:
    I would like to be able to move things around on screens better and have a better calendar, more like outlook.

    We try to use it for our business, but since it is not reliable, it is not working. Especially on the go, when internet is weak or from hotel rooms; we get error messages.

    - It is not reliable, especially on the go. - Customer service is not friendly. - It is easy to delete important data entries by mistake. We often need to recover the back-up. - Looks quite bulky and outdated.
