Great for Nonprofits

Overall, we have loved BoardSpot and I have adopted it as the board management software that I use for several of the boards that I sit on.

Pros:

I love using BoardSpot to simplify the management of documents related to board business. Our team is small and finding an affordable yet comprehensive platform has made managing the board of directors much easier.

Cons:

As of right now, we have not found anything we do not like. We have requested that the platform add a connection to Slack or provide an in-house discussion platform.

Reasons for choosing BoardSpot

The simplicity of use combined with the pricing was the selling point for me. There is no more affordable platform with similar usability.

Great platform and phenomenal customer service.

The best "feature" BoardSpot has is their customer service team. They are amazing. Very responsive, really listen to our feedback, and always offer solutions to any issue that arises. We are excited about this new relationship!

BoardSpot is easy to set up and easy to use. Most all functions are very self explanatory. It's features are competitive with many much higher priced options.

Cons:

The portal seems a bit new so I think some features that may be useful are still in the works or coming very soon.

Easy enough to use that everyone can access and view calendar, meeting minutes, etc

Cons:

Sometimes we dont get all notifications, it is pricey for the function

Virtual meetings and closing presentations.

The implementation of security projects needs to be supported by final documents that present conclusive results for evaluation by the company's board of directors. Having the ability to hold quality virtual meetings between technicians, technologists, engineers and board members is very important to draw the general lines. Presenting an efficient and secure strategy based on the final results is a very important part of my job and BoardSpot is a tool that makes this very easy for me.

I find it to be an extremely useful tool for presentations and creating executive meetings because it allows me to create customized meeting rooms with company branding, upload slides, explanatory videos and detailed documents to support the presentation. It offers real-time collaboration, annotation, participant polling, and file sharing.

Cons:

Despite the variety of features BoardSpot offers, it may lack some customization add-ons.

it keeps my board in the know and current with all documents. I have one upload and they can come look at the documents or past minutes/agendas anytime.

Cons:

Would be nice to have a collaboration site. This would enable the board to add ideas and chat about certain topics.

Our Community Foundation uses BoardSpot!
