          ROLLER is the One-Stop-Shop For Ticketing and Event Management

          If you're reading this, you're on your 2nd or 3rd attempt to find a ticket management system. We tried many, many solutions over the years and nothing compares to Roller. You'll find that as you implement, features you thought you wouldn't use become easy additions. The scheduling and time-based ticketing is powerful and will meet your needs. The online checkout, which is very mobile friendly, is a great experience for guests. Yes, Roller will cost you a monthly service fee in a world where most ticket vendors make their money on CC processing fees, but it's worth it. It's a premium system that will elevate your venue. I've implemented it twice now for clients (One Theatre and One Theme Park) and it performed flawlessly.

          Roller is the complete package, the total and real deal. It's easy to use, and has everything you need to run a small ticketed event (Roller Lite) all the way up to a complete Theme Park (Roller Pro).
          Cons:
          There is currently an ability to securely store credit cards for membership, but not for regular guest tickets. It would be helpful for our business as we frequently upgrade tickets and need to collect payment often over the phone. The Android app for checkin isn't the best and we opted to use Microsoft Surface devices instead. The UI is amazing, but it cannot be viewed on mobile devices and doesn't allow you to print a booking screen without first exporting it to PDF.

          Reasons for choosing ROLLER

          Roller is just simply the best mid-tier theme park management system out there. No, it's not at the Disney or Universal level, but any mid-sized park, family entertainment centre, or in one of my client's cases -- a theatre that does a lot of group bookings, Roller is the clear winner on price, features, and support. Oh, I didn't mention support above. Let's talk about 3-5 min response times on average -- yes, for real -- they are nearly instant. There is just no better product out there. As you can tell, after almost 3 years using the product, I can definitely say I'm a fan.

          Reasons for switching to ROLLER

          Overall, the ticket software we used previously was too basic and we needed more flexibility in our ticket issuing, a better online checkout experience, and better support for Groupon and pay after services. Roller delivers all these and more with waivers and other integrations that were critical to our business.

          Impressive Improvements and a better Roller experience every year (Thanks [sensitive content hidden] !)

          Roller has become a core part of our operations, and we’re very happy with how far it’s come. While it’s not yet a complete all-in-one solution, we’re confident it’s heading in the right direction. With continued improvements, particularly around event management and their food and beverage systems, we can see ourselves running our entire business on Roller.

          Over the years of using Roller, we've seen a significant improvement in one-on-one support and account management. There was a time when we seriously considered moving away from the platform. However, we chose to stay, and are glad we did, due to the steady enhancements in the ticketing system, payment portals, and the increased engagement from our account manager, who has made a conscious effort to be present and work collaboratively with us on solutions. THANKS [sensitive content hidden] ! One of the biggest improvements has been in payment processing. The ability to identify payments linked to specific bookings and guest accounts, track spending over time, and issue refunds easily has played a critical role in streamlining our operations and improving the guest experience. While Roller isn’t fully customisable, we’ve appreciated how tailored solutions and thoughtful adaptations have been introduced to better suit the unique needs of our business and how we sell our products. We’ve particularly valued the introduction of price rules and schedules over the past seasons. These tools became essential in the post-COVID environment, where managing guest bookings, capacity, and queues became more important than ever. The progressive checkout has also been a game changer. Not only is it visually appealing, but it’s far more user-friendly compared to the previous format. It enhances the overall customer experience and aligns well with modern consumer expectations. We’ve also seen great success with the online party package system. Allowing guests to purchase and manage their own bookings has led to a noticeable increase in party sales, while also reducing the administrative load on our team.
          Cons:
          If you had asked me a few years ago, I could have easily written a page and a half outlining the things we didn’t like or appreciate about Roller. However, as the platform has developed over time, that list has steadily decreased. One of our earlier frustrations was being limited to selling tickets as a standard product. With the introduction of schedules, improvements in stock product functionality, and now the implementation of price rules, our experience with ticketing and the overall system use has significantly improved. That said, there are still areas where we’d love to see further development, particularly in how events are booked. We currently rely on external software (Priava/Elite) to manage and invoice event bookings, as Roller’s event management features aren’t yet at the level offered by those systems. We’re hopeful that as Roller continues to evolve, it will eventually allow us to run all aspects of our business (food & beverage, ticketing, event management, lockers etc.) within a single, unified platform. Another area we’re keen to see improvement in is guest account management. Specifically, we’d like guests to have more autonomy in managing their bookings. For example, being able to change their visit date without needing to contact our team via phone or email. This was a feature we were expecting last season, but unfortunately, it wasn’t implemented successfully. We’re hoping to see it available and functioning smoothly this season.

          Reasons for choosing ROLLER

          We chose ROLLER because it offers a more comprehensive, all-in-one platform tailored to our theme park’s needs. Its ticketing, scheduling, and progressive checkout features handle capacity and bookings better. Plus, strong account management and plans to integrate food, events, and more aligned with our long-term goals. There's also the support that is within Australia whereas, at the time, the only support for VivaTicket would be international.

          Support is fine but does not make up for how expensive it is. Find the whole software to be basic. The funds to be received and funds paid are often full of inaccurate totals/ information.

          It is difficult to say as I think the system is too expensive and clunky. My trial balance reports do not allow me to select more than a 30 day period at a time to look at revenue and sales.
          Cons:
          Expense. It’s horrifically overpriced. Plus should have the ability like GoCardless to run membership Direct Debits in a super easy way, so as if debit cards change through being lost or stolen or get updated then we are still able to receive payments from the customers account.

          Great Support-Backed System for Managing Events and overall Business

          Overall, my experience with ROLLER as an Events Manager has been mixed but largely positive. The platform is strong for managing party and group bookings, tracking payments, and coordinating waivers, which helps keep event operations organized. Having bookings, guest details, and transactions in one system improves visibility and reduces manual follow-ups. However, during high-volume event days, some processes such as editing bookings, handling last-minute changes, and processing refunds can feel slow or overly complex. While ROLLER is a powerful system, certain workflows and reporting tools could be more intuitive and flexible to better support fast-paced event management. With improvements in speed, usability, and customization, it would be an even more effective tool for managing events efficiently.

          I Love Roller!

          It is the best multi-use POS, CRM and ticket management system I have come across. It has given me a lot of valuable experience that I can carry with me to other ventures in my career. The customer service has also been fantastic!

          How easy it is to address payment issues (refunds, auto renewals) and the flexibility of making different products. I can get creative to meet the demands of my company when it comes to ticketing and tracking revenue. It has been so easy to train other staff on how to use and I always direct new hires to the training videos and help articles.
          Cons:
          The only gripe I have is debit transactions on memberships - sometimes people get visa debit confused with credit cards and this unfortunately makes their membership records with us a little bit funky. I do have a workaround for this in the meantime. This is a VERY specific issue and I can try to catch it when possible.

          Reasons for switching to ROLLER

          It went defunct and we could no longer use it. The actual name of it was Legacy Suite or something along those lines.

          Huge investment - but even a bigger disappointment in the product

          Just not good. The staff is friendly but even our Implementation specialist admitted on several occasions that their software was lacking and that a lot doesn't make sense for the US market

          Their booking system is good. But other than that, it lacks the basic functionalities that many other POS systems have (Unless you upgrade to their pro version).
          Cons:
          Unfortunately their software doesn't provide so many basic functions you'll find from other POS systems. The reporting is very challenging - for example, if I want to check our staff's gratuities for the night, it will show me every transaction - but doesn't give you a total. You literally have to export the report, download it, open in Excel (or similar) and add a Sum function. The software is also from Great Britain (which we were not told) - and Europe operates so differently then the US Unfortunately there are so many challenges we are about to write off the $15k we invested in them and just start with someone else. Perhaps their higher end subscription does the basics we are looking for - but systems like Clover are a lot less expensive and a lot more functional for basic POS. Sorry.

          Overall, slightly above average. It is nice to have access to these tools from any device, but mobile friendliness needs to be addressed. More reporting would really make this product great.

          Some problems with customers adopting the platform for features like updating payment method and canceling subscriptions, very limited reporting compared to competitor platforms, never really understood the point of the dashboard. Venue Manager is NOT mobile friendly.

          I do not like the overall system as it is not very user friendly in all aspects. On the backend, it is a nightmare, especially with reports.

          It is easy to check in guests and the concessions part makes it very user friendly. Group checkin is also pretty easy to use.
          Cons:
          Depending on how you pull a report, it gives different information. Also, pulling what you need from a report is very difficult. Also, setting up accounts for memberships is damn near impossible.

          Corporate made us. Definetly not my choice. But Roller did buy out Active8

          Roller makes our days easier

          Our experience with Roller has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s made a noticeable difference in how smoothly our operations run day-to-day. The system is fast, user-friendly, and easy to train on—which is especially important for our young team. Tasks that used to take longer are now streamlined, and everyone feels more confident using it. While the reporting side took a little time to get comfortable with, it wasn’t a dealbreaker at all. Once we figured out how to pull what we needed, it’s been incredibly helpful. Overall, Roller has been a reliable, efficient, and easy-to-use platform that’s helped us stay organized and work smarter.

          We’ve been really impressed with how user-friendly and intuitive Roller is. It’s quick, easy to navigate, and has made training our young team so much smoother.           Cons:
          There honestly isn’t much we don’t like. The reporting features took a little getting used to at first, but once we got the hang of it, it’s been smooth sailing. Overall, it’s been a great fit for our operations!

          Having converted our system from booknow, the ease of roller is an important feature. It is both booking and customer friendly and easy to use. The conversion team was also a great help

          Ease of Use once the system is in place plus how the system becomes more convenient the more it is used. Also, the training videos are a huge assistance. Also, having the payment system fully integrated is a huge help
          Cons:
          Moving/ uploading information when moving from Booknow. Not so much on the Roller end. But gathering the info and then having it imported but it being deleted between uploads and review to publish live. Also, the invoicing is less formal then some of our groups prefer

          The features and ease of use of the system. We would need to give booknow the features we needed and they might have had it or not. Roller is built with the needs of the business having been worked out over time
