About Daily Connect

Daily Connect is a cloud-based solution that helps businesses manage communication between parents and child care centers. Key features include billing, text messaging, online registration, daily reports and immunization records.

Designed for small to midsize businesses, Daily Connect’s sign-in kiosk allows users to collect attendance of classroom teachers and directors in a centralized platform. It enables enterprises to inform parents about important events via automated emails and push notifications. Additionally, the solution allows firms to generate reports on classroom activities on a daily, monthly and weekly basis.

Daily Connect comes with tools, which allow directors to manage roster, classrooms and teachers. Mobile applications for Android and iOS devices are also offered to remotely manage business activities. It is available on a monthly subscription and support is extended via documentation and email.

Still a happy customer, but less so

Daily Connect is a good choice for basic daycare needs. You can use it for signing in/out, invoicing parents, taking census, easily. The desktop is more reliable than the app.

Pros:

Daily Connect is an affordable software option for small daycares. I like the sign-in/out function best.

Cons:

The mobile app seems to freeze up a lot. It's not always clear that when I take a picture, I can send it to a parent. Sometimes, I don't have the drop-down menu option for choosing a specific child.

Cons:

How many different icon buttons open up to more options to get back and forth between classrooms etc

Pros:

The parents enjoy when i send pictures through it and when we communicate through it. Some parents eve respond better to this.

Cons:

It does take time to use and while managing a class of special needs kiddos and their para can be tough.

Pros:

I have used daily connect to communicate with day care providers. You can get messages sent to the day are provider rather than texting them.

Cons:

It was difficult to get started on daily connect, not sure if the provider had issues or it was an issue of the app.

Great for some things, needs improvement in a lot of ways

I’m not 100% satisfied with it. Like I said I think it could be more user friendly on the admin side as well. There seems to be a lot of things that you have to jump through hoops to get a task down.

I like that it has so many features and it makes assessments and portfolios easy.

Cons:

It is not super user friendly. I am constantly having to email asking questions. I think aesthetically it could look more simple from the parent app and teachers iPad, it confusing for a lot of my families.

Ease of use

This connection tool is a great way to share information back and forth form teacher and parents. It has helped ease some parents separations when they can receive real time photos of this child.

Cons:

There isn't really much I don't like about it. It may be helpful if there was a clock in/out feature on the app for employees

I tried another app, and went straight back to Daily connect

I love how I stay in contact with the parents all day. It is also comforting knowing the parents know the last thing their kiddo was involved in.

The thing I liked most was the nap feature and activity feature. I used another app for a little while and immediately went back to daily connect.

Cons:

Nothing! That’s just it, I can’t find one thing I would change about this app!

i love that there are short cut buttons to quickly add diapers and naps

Cons:

i do not like the comment addition to our entries. i think it is just too much since the parents have the ability to send a message if they would like.

So Glad I Switched To Daily Connect

Overall, my experience has been great. I switched from a different app that glitched frequently but have been very satisfied with Daily Connect.

I enjoy how easy the app is to use. I love being able to quickly update parents on their child's day.

Cons:

I'm not a fan of the timeline feed and would prefer to see different categories of activities together. For example all meals to be listed together, diaper changes etc.

The app I previously used for daily reports would often glitch and not allow me to upload photos and other key information.
