Pros:

I love this software because it makes my business life so much easier! Crove.app makes it possible for me to automate complicated business documents with just a few clicks. It also saves me so much time because I can create templates that are always up to date with my latest changes. With the help of this tool, I have more time to focus on my business and less time on paperwork.

Cons:

I don't have much that I dislike so far, but as this tool polishes, I'm sure it will catch up to PandaDoc or DocuSign.

I enjoy Crove more and more each month (Early adopter/user)

As an early adopter, when I first started using Crove (an older version) the UI used to be a little rough, with bugs here and there. Their prompt support, and frequent updates was what kept me on the platform.However, I'm so glad that I stayed!For what Crove accomplishes and streamlines for our team and clients, and for how far they've come, this is one of those "I'm so glad I didn't sell my Google stock in 2010" situations. :) I'm proud to use it at this point, and are confident when recommending it to your clients.

Pros:

Custom regex functions, being able to minutely change the size and in-between spacing for text-block variables, conditional words and paragraphs, and much more.Forms are amazing. I haven't used anything else that beats the field customization you can do, independently of the document template itself, which is outstanding. Not much for branding control (colors, logo, etc.), but whitelabel is coming soon on their roadmap. This will be nice, but Crove has come such a long way with its UI and overall branding, that I don't mind people knowing we use it. It's polished. This is one of those apps that make your company and team look better, and positively influence client's perception and experience, for using it.Support is responsive, prompt, friendly.If you don't want to get complicated, it's easy to use their software as a beginner.Embeds work flawlessly, and are wonderfully-responsive to device sizes. You can whip up your own iFrame if you choose to, and it still embeds beautifully within that.The access variables and options are clear and easy to control.Probably a lot more I could add, but these are my main points.

Cons:

Everything that I had issues with in their past V1 (I was an early adopter/user), has been fixed in their current V2, so I can't think of anything.That's rare! I just really like it.I guess my only con is waiting for new features on their roadmap to be released. And, that's not because they haven't been fast and timely with new features, updates, and fixes, but only due to my impatience. We use and/or test hundreds of SaaS and software each year, and Crove stands out as one that has shipped the most updates and new features, overall.

Reasons for choosing Crove

Same reasons as to why we switched from Documate.I don't like paying first-to-market prices for legacy companies with outdated UI or systems, when we now have options to go with more modernized, and less-cost solutions like Crove.

Reasons for switching to Crove

Traditionally document generation solutions (as well as eSign) are overly-complicated, siloed (meaning they don't easily connect to other apps), and very expensive.Crove solved all of these issues for us.

Great potential but not ready

Although the concept is great and it shows a lot of potential, the current condition of the software is half useable. It was frustrating to use and edit. So I believe it's the speed of improvement and development will be the major factor.

Really convenient tool essential for every entrepreneur, business, freelancer

I have been looking for a long time for a better alternative to Webmerge-Formstack and really really glad I found Crove as it is super efficient, convenient to use, and provides even more options, with conditions logic etc. * Here are my use cases : - sending letter automatically by email from any form submission, with signature - sending personalised ebook with my client name and details - sending the pdf summary of a coaching session with the answers filled in by my client during the coaching session in the pdf as well as their name details. - sending personalised results of personality test by choosing the pdf corresponding to the personality type and fill it in with name and details of the client. - many others. I am already using it for simple and more complex processes and the support has been really helpful and responsive, an amazing tool, really! Finally I can implement more! :) Thanks!

Pros:

Very convenient, essentiel for any business. It integrates with Integrately, Zapier, Pabbly, KonnectzIT, + Webhooks and API, so you can take input from any form (I use Paperform or Landbot with integration with Integrately) but any others will do, Crove also includes an internal form to have a all-in-one process if you prefer, and you can pretty much do everything related to PDF personalisation and automation.

Cons:

There is one feature I needed as I run personality test and need to use severla pdf in one process so more complex, but the support has been great in helping me find a solution on how to implement mu use case and also updated their roadmap. Great support!

I found Crove simple, could find directly how to implement simple to complex processes. Couldn't with the others.

Reasons for switching to Crove

Crove has more features and options. I like very much the conditions on page, different type of variables for block or inline text.

Great for pre-filling documents through forms

Overall, I'm happy with my use of Crove. If you're familiar with similar tools, the learning curve might not be as steep for you, but for me I found it sometimes difficult and too full of technical jargon. The help section was really useful in better understanding how to use the core features, but more video examples and a little more content would be super helpful to noobs like me.

My absolute favourite thing about Crove is that I can make forms fillable through a form. Instead of having editable text boxes throughout a PDF, for example, where you have to click through each section and hope that you don't miss anything, Crove has a form builder where you can simply answer each question one by one and it'll pre-fill the document. That's going to drive efficiency massively. I haven't tested the integration with Zapier, but I imagine if there's a feed in and out of this data, that you could pre-fill / export the data to drive even more efficiency elsewhere. Would be nice for more integrations than Zapier only (custom webhooks and API is available, though, if you're tech savvy enough to figure that out on your own).

Cons:

There was a bit of a learning curve (I had to go through the help section to figure out some of the features), and it seems geared toward people who are already familiar with coding. It was also sometimes difficult to navigate between features; I couldn't figure out how to get out of the variables editor on the right to go back to the list of vairables. I wish I could edit the original Word document from inside the editor as well; instead, I'm left only able to insert my own new features. For instance, I uploaded a form that already had boxes in it to be filled - Crove allows me to insert text within its own boxes, but the sizing was different and it was too much of a manual process to try and get the box sizes to align. I wish I could just highlight pre-existing boxes and make that the editable field or something. I also found when I accidentally inserted a table that I had no idea how to delete the table.

Crove succeeds where many have failed for me!

I am just very excited that I have found the document tool that works with Thai language correctly. And it is very easy to integrate.

Pros:

I have tested many new document tools in the past year. Some of them have very good features that I love. However, what all of them did not make that cut was me was the ability to use with Thai characters correctly once printed in PDF. Many of them looked correct on the platform, but when I printed the documents out to PDF, either it was unreadable at all or at best usable but the some of the more complex vowels/chars would not display correctly. At first I did not expect much from Crove. But once I tried it, I really love the ease of use. The UI/UX is so easy to get started right away. The complex workflows can be made use of quickly and easily. Everything works great and the integrations with webhook make the possibilities endless. Anyway, what I am really excited is that it works flawlessly with my language. So it gets included in our workflow immediately.

Cons:

There are still some minor bugs such as the display of the variables not showing the entire info for some fields. However, these are not fatal. I think they can be fixed easily later.

Crove App is a good tool to have for Business Owners dealing with lots of Documents!

Crove is an automated document generation application that simplifies my work and saves me a lot of time. I don't manually have to enter and format information into a document that I send. This makes my job much easier and more efficient. It takes the hassle out of creating documents. I particularly like that I can quickly generate a document when I need it and it's not just limited to business proposals.

What I love about Crove App is that there's plenty of templates to choose from which allows document creation smooth and easy. The UI is clean and is easy to use.

Cons:

What I like the least about Crove App is the lack of templates that pertains to my industry which is Web Design and Digital Marketing. If Crove App is advertising to be a tool to create these documents easily, we need to have a variety of templates available for all sorts of industries to really make it smooth and easy process for all users using Crove to create and manage documents! While Crove is not perfect yet that will allow me to replace an established document/signature tool that I am using now for my business, I am optimistic that the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] of Crove to pro actively continue on improving Crove App to make it an all in one tool that all business owners, freelancers and agencies should have in their arsenal!

Automate your repetitive tasks easy and fast

It's a good starting point and i think with a few changes it is super affordable. So far it can easily automate situations where for example a standard form for doctors, legal lawyers or even real estate agents and make repetitive tasks super smooth. I would try and see if it fits your needs as the variable insertion is very simple and then you can develop with the app based on your exact requirements

Pros:

Easy to create documents with placeholder variables and bulk receive (and send) forms. It's pretty basic to create an effective "recipe" to create a template and using their drag and drop is immediate. As a side note, I would like to mention that they also have Webhooks and not only Zapier, hence you can use with tools like pabbly connect, integromat and integrately using this feature.

Cons:

The UI could be more polished and also a better and more rich options like custom colours. A media manager would be useful to save and upload images, also there is no "border" option when inserting images, the drag and drop builder is nice but the document editor should be richer like "tiny mce" in WP. The templates are not enough and should be increased to cover more use cases.

A Must Have App

Pros:

I am so happy that I found this app. After using it for a few days, I can see that I really need this app. I am currently building a Shopify-like site and planning to integrate this in my system soon. This will Fastrack my development on the invoicing side. This app is also very useful when I start accepting merchants by sending them contracts and all automated! The app can also be integrated with your current ecom store. For all new orders, you can easily print shipping labels, invoices and even customize thank you cards! And the best part is that they already have zapier and webhooks, which are very powerful which lead to unlimited possibilities. I already came up with lots of ideas on how to integrate this in my systems Goodluck to the team and so excited to the future of this app.

Cons:

I just notice that when I tried to navigate to another page, it has no warning if my work has not been saved yet. An autosave feature would be great. But overall, this app is really great. Kudos to the team!

Enter a new chapter of working with documents

All in all, I wouldn't want to do without Crove, as it helps me work with documents every day. The customer service is always there to help if you get stuck, thanks to the live chat.

Pros:

Crove has changed my entire work process by automating my workflow. I'm now able to generate documents for contracts between me and my clients with the help of Crove. It helps me generate documents that are filled with my client's data. I have a webhook that pulls the data from my website and inserts it onto the document. It's a relief not only for me, but for the end user, and opens up completely new ways of working with "boring" documents.

Cons:

In general, I have only had good experiences with Crove so far. However, a revision of the UI would be very desirable to make it even easier and faster to find your way around. Also, the help article on inserting variables into a document only links to the home page.
