About iCloud

iCloud is a file storage solution that helps businesses backup and share photos, notes, documents and other data with stakeholders. It lets users create multiple folders, rename them and add color-coded tags to organize files as per individual preferences.

iCloud enables administrators to share files and configure permission rights, restricting specific users to view, share or edit information. It lets users synchronize data across all devices for applications, such as iCal, Contacts, Reminders and Safari. Additionally, team members can collaborate and receive real-time updates on documents, presentations and spreadsheets.

iCloud uses two-factor authentication and sends temporary verification codes to trusted devices, allowing users to sign-in on multiple devices. It is available on monthly pricing and support is extended via documentation, phone and other online measures.

Pros:
I have been using iCloud since 2009 and I think that is one of the most reliable sources of data management in the network currently, I’ve been a faithful Apple customer for years upgraded as much as I can and use as many of the options that they provide, and this has been always one of the best because everything is all at once from device to device
Cons:
The only issue that I don’t like is that it’s not compatible on android devices or devices I do not run off of Apple

In order to keep certain things I've had to purchase space, if everything wasn't automatically uploaded to the cloud and stayed there maybe it wouldn't fill up so fast. Good or bad, just glad to have somewhere to keep my stuff safe.

Cons:
When you run out of file space you still have to pay for expanded storage space or clear out pictures, apps, videos, files or limits using parts of your phone.

Review for icloud

5

If you own iPhone, Mac, or an iPad and you like convenience, having your photos, files, messages, and backups automatically synced and backed up, iCloud is arguably one of the easiest and most “set-and-forget” ways to manage your data. I enjoy using it daily.

Pros:
I use iPhone, iPad, Mac (or other Apple hardware), so iCloud works very smoothly. Files, photos, backups, settings, and app data sync automatically across my devices. Data stored in iCloud is encrypted, and with features like two-factor authentication, it offers a reasonable degree of security and protection.
Cons:
The free tier is often insufficient for photos, videos, backups, and everyday use. I quickly hit the limit and need to upgrade.

Reasons for switching to iCloud

I have more apple products being used for daily tasks and storage needs.

Default for Apple, works okay for Windows

4

iCloud is the default for iPhone users, and Mac users. But it has many uses, and a lot of features beyond file sharing. Password manager, hide my email and private relay offer secure features for a low price. When you do want to share documents and files, it works well (but do keep an eye on windows implementations).

Pros:
File management is smooth and painless, especially with Apple devices: your photos, documents and passwords are stored in the cloud and instantly accessible everywhere. With the addition of a small app, this extenders to windows. Zero learning curve for iPhone and Mac users: it just works.
Cons:
Windows app is still a little buggy (recently files were not uploading, and the app didn’t reply me why - I had to do a lot of digging to see the reason was I had changed my password and needed to update it).
