Xibo is a cloud-based and on-premise open-source digital signage solution, which enables businesses to launch, schedule and create display campaigns through integration with third-party platforms.

Key features of Xibo include content previews, single sign-on (SSO), custom fonts and templates. Sold Budget Signage Solution

Overall its a solid system and it gets the job done for us. The issues we do have are as much to do with the computers it runs on as anything for the most part, though we have had a few webpages layouts that have thrown us for a loop.

Pros:

Easy setup and configuration of the basic system. Responsive portal. Competitive pricing. Pretty flexible setup. Support is quick to respond.

Cons:

With customizing power comes complexity. I'd like more up-to-date training and some kind of "Basic" mode for less advanced users. I'd also love some more examples of advanced layouts that I could look at and show to team members for inspiration.

Easy to use and great price

Its been great as for the cost of the product nothing is anywhere near as customisable. Its been a great product for out school and does everything we need and extra

Pros:

Easy to use and great price. Works great overall and never have any issues. Looking to install more.

Cons:

Was a little fiddly to setup at first but once it was setup it works great without much input needed

Reasons for choosing Xibo

Not customisable and also very expensive and didnt work as well

Reasons for switching to Xibo

End of Life and new products from One Lan were very expensive in comparison to Xibo

Nice system but have some technical issue

Xibo cms is nice open source signage service to manage multiple displays from one web based access portal

Easy to deploy on our promise server and friendly web based mange interface Also it's support Arabic text writing

Cons:

The service has issues with android TV os 14 .. After while the display get turn off and go to sleep mode .. We have tired all options but no luck . We will highly appreciate you to resolve this issue

Due to the availability and offline service but we found that there is critical technical issues that prevent of using the xibo system for long-term display

Solid Signage Solution

Overall, Xibo has proven to be a reliable and cost-effective digital signage solution. Once you get past the initial learning curve during setup, the system runs smoothly and provides all the necessary tools for effective display management. The platform delivers great value and meets our operational requirements well. We would recommend it to organizations looking for a capable signage system, though they should allocate sufficient time for the initial configuration phase.

Pros:

Xibo offers excellent value for money, especially considering its comprehensive feature set for digital signage management. The platform provides solid security with no vulnerabilities encountered during our deployment. Screen and display management capabilities work reliably and cover all essential needs for managing multiple displays across different locations.

Cons:

The initial setup process can be somewhat complicated and requires technical knowledge to configure properly. Additionally, the authorize/deauthorize button for displays could be more intuitive – the current toggle behavior isn't immediately clear and can cause confusion when managing display permissions.

We considered Yodeck, ScreenCloud, and OptiSigns.

Kudos to Xibo

Very satisfied - we use it for signage out of our CMS-system in schools and the government sector. Also for scheduling content on a fewe LED-walls

Open source, stability, DSC players, Whitelabel Program - also the ability to easily integrate externally managed assets via RSS.

Cons:

The backend user interface is a little complicated for the average user. There is much room for error.

A good tool of mulliple data inputs

Really good bit of kit that works well. We use our own players running android and on the whole have not had any major issues.

It works well. Does as we would expect. Multiple content upload options including dynamic data which is important to us.

Cons:

Its interface is a bit dated and could do with being modernised in some ways. Also is complicated to to get to grips with. A steep learning curve

The best alternative for distributing your Power BI reports

Today, we are organized by departments connected to Xibo, which are completely autonomous in managing information distribution (HR, Quality, IT, etc). Our aeronautical production is also equipped with KPI dashboards for each production line, entirely powered by Power BI and displayed via Xibo.

Pros:

The multitude of different media that can be displayed in Xibo, especially Power BI reports. We currently use it on more than 30 screens in our aeronautical production workshops.

Cons:

Xibo doesn't suffer from any major issues. We did have some diffuculties to connect link from Xibo to Microsoft. It's also worth noting that WebOS licenses are still not free.

Overall from IT perspektive we are satisfied. Unfortunately the feeling is not the same for the content creators

Portal and client simple to install. We have used it for many years now with good performance and stability

Cons:

Those that put contents says it is complicated to use. From what I see it is because of ther IT skills

Reliable digital signage software but long learning curve

Overall, our experience has been positive. Recommended if you are looking for a solution for multiple screens. The learning curve is too steep for a single screen. Good value for money.

Xibo is robust digital signage software. You can rely on it. It always work smoothly with the recommend hardware. The great thing about Xibo is that it's open source, so you're not dependent on a single provider.

Cons:

The interface looks outdated and isn't very user-friendly. You need a manual to find your way around.
